I Found The Perfect Dress!
I, like most women planning of their wedding day, was dreaming of the one, perfect dress to blow my fiance’s/husbands mind while walking down the aisle. I was not exactly excited about the idea of shopping for my wedding dress, as I knew exactly what I wanted, was not going to settle for anything less and knew it would be a difficult find.
The start of my wedding dress shopping journey proved this to be true, as very few stores stocked what I was looking for and many turned down my booking due to budget and lack of experience trying on wedding dresses – how you are meant to get experience of wedding dress shopping and knowing what style suites you best without going to stores in the first place, I have no idea!
Then I found Wedding Frox! A beautiful modern barn in a small collection of small boutique shops on the outskirts of Guilford. They had an amazing selection of dresses, great reviews and could book me for an appointment soon without any conditions.
When my mum and I met with the wedding dress assistant, she immediately asked me what I was looking for. My instant response: ‘Less Cinderella princess, and more elven queen’. She instantly started picking out some dresses that fit my discerption and encouraged me to do that same.
We started off with five dresses and began to streamline what dresses suited me best. I drowned in fabric of an A-line dress but, much to my delight, looked elegant in a fitted dress, floor length dress.
Then when trying on the sixth dress, I found the one and only!
It fitted my description of what I wanted exactly, included boho sleeves and I was draped from head to two in French lace. I couldn’t believe how incredible I looked, the dress very nearly fitted me perfectly, only needing minor alterations, and the whole this was light and comfortable to wear – this was the one!
It was ever so slightly out of my budget, but the wedding dress assistant said that this was a unique style that didn’t suite many and wasn’t very popular with her customers. She said that if I was happy to take this exact one and take it away today, I could have at a 15% discount, bringing it into my budget. I jumped at the chance, paid and took it home with me right then and there.
The wedding dress assistant also recommended a couple seamstresses in the area to do the alterations and put me in touch with Fernanda who worked wonders on the dress to completely fit me.
Wedding Frox took an experience I was pretty much dreading and made it a stress and pain free, delightful experience where I found the dress of my dreams when I never thought I would! I could not be any more grateful! A massive thank you to the Wedding Frox dream team.
