R72 IR filter from CEX

Yet another excellent purchase from CEX. This time it was for an R72 IR camera filter.
At a very good price it was delivered within its original plastic box.
A very good buy - and with a five-year warranty, too !

my past 2 visit to my local store were not very friendly went to sell somethings did not get the price that was on there own company page which should not be allowed very disappointed the staff are not very helpful or friendly in my wythenshawe manchester branch

Missing items - CeX blaming customer for "losing" items in the bin.

"Ordered a GPU and two sticks of RAM. Only the GPU arrived. The box was tiny—sized specifically for the GPU—leaving no room for the RAM. CeX Support is now claiming the RAM was 'wrapped in a paper bag' inside and that I must have thrown it away. This is physically impossible given the box dimensions. They have refused to verify the official courier shipping weight, which would prove the parcel was too light to contain the full order. Disputing via my bank as they are refusing to acknowledge a clear packing error. OrderID:21877459
UPDATE 28/04/26:
Thank you for the response, Nikita. However, I must clarify two vital points that contradict your findings:

Inconsistent Information: Prior to delivery, a CeX in-store operative explicitly informed me that because the items were sourced from different locations, they would arrive separately. Your claim that they were consolidated into one box directly contradicts the advice given by your own staff and suggests a sourcing/system error on your end.

The Weight Record: If the RAM modules were included, the DPD manifest weight at the point of collection would reflect this. I have requested that CeX verify the recorded weight of the parcel (GPU only vs GPU + 2x RAM). You have yet to provide this objective data.

I checked the box thoroughly; there was no paper bag and no RAM. Since your 'internal investigation' lacks objective proof—such as a packing slip or weight logs—and contradicts your own staff’s logistical advice, I have now initiated a formal bank dispute to resolve this.

Following a detailed investigation with the store team, we checked the dispatch process for your order. Based on our findings, the two memory modules were packed separately in a paper bag, secured, and placed inside the box along with the graphics card before dispatch. I appreciate that this may differ from what you experienced when opening the parcel.

As you have confirmed that the outer packaging was sealed, untampered, and delivered in good condition, our findings indicate that the items were included at the time of dispatch and delivery. In such cases, it is possible that the memory sticks may have been inadvertently discarded along with the packaging materials.

Staff have poor language skills

Staff have poor language skills, poor customer service, can’t look you in the eye when talking to you, they have poor understanding of company policy and most of them are incredibly rude. Where do I start on hygiene?

I manage a family business and would be appalled if our staff behaved and presented themselves in the way CEX employees do.

Avoid like the plague.

Five-star service and total peace of mind!

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) from CeX online, and I couldn't be happier. I ordered a Grade A "No Strap" version to save some money since I already had my own custom gold strap ready to go.
​To my amazement, the watch arrived in its original box and looked brand new, never used. Even though the listing said "No Strap," the original Samsung strap was actually inside the box as well! It’s a fantastic piece of tech with 64GB of storage and brilliant health features that I’m already using to help manage my health.
​One of the main reasons I chose CeX is the incredible 5-year warranty they now provide. It gives me so much reassurance knowing that such a high-end piece of equipment is protected for so long. The delivery was very quick, and the value for money is unbeatable. I’ve had several purchases from CeX now and I am always very happy with the service. A big thank you to the team!

Tablet didn't even support a simple app like YouTube!…

I tried to download YouTube to play cat videos for my cat. Couldn't as the tablet didn't support the app because the version is way out of date at 5.1.1
Tried to update to download YouTube again but no success. I did a factory reset to clear storage because that hadn't been done. CEX 'did not' state any of this in the ad when I bought the tablet. I don't expect a lot of a second hand tablet however, I expect to be able to download some simple apps like YouTube. I've a tablet I can't use! So I'm having to use my laptop. I bought the tablet so I wouldn't have to use my laptop for my cat to play with. Very unhappy so I will be contacting CEX for a refund. Doubt I will be purchasing anything from CEX in the future.

incredible service

Really good service; the 5-year warranty is amazing, the delivery is super fast and the store is always really helpful. I buy all my games from here, and they have never disappointed except for one game which didn't work, but we were able to sort it out, and I was given a full refund. Super helpful, thank you!

No communication, no quality control

My first order was cancelled with no communication with me. When I went on to the site to see why it had not arrived and found it was cancelled, I ordered an alternative device. Both orders then showed as 'picking'. Having contacted them to find out what was going on they then sent the laptop out with a broken plug. I have absolutely no faith in their quality control or customer service any more.
