Pleasant experience in spite of reading negative reviews.
I read the reviews on this site before purchasing a beautiful Midnight Sparkle wig I had been eyeing out for a Halloween costume. I emailed Julie before purchasing about these reviews I'd read concerning me and for reassurance I'd receive my wig before the occasion. She responded within an hour . I ordered my wig and it arrived the next morning, standard delivery (although I am based in the UK too!)
The wig is beautiful, it fits the occasion perfectly and I'm very happy with it. It's very full and thick, soft and smells really nice. If I could upload a photo or video of it here, I would! Will definitely order again from Webster Wigs.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I originally got in touch with Julie because I mistakenly ordered one wig instead of two. She replied in less then 10 minutes and graciously offered to refund my shipping costs and ship the second one in the same parcel. She sent the wig, but I never got refunded.
I later got back in touch with a return question and after 3 emails I still haven't heard back. So I'd say, Webster wigs has no issues taking your money, however when you have a problem don't expect a reply.

I typically don't want to write anything negative about someone, but this situation had gotten out of hand. I've been trying to contact Webester Wig for more than a year! Getting back and forth only to receive my order, which I placed last March!! However, when I requested a reimbursement for my parcel, I was left stuck.
I strongly advise everyone not to waste their valuable time contacting this organisation, as their customer service support is the cherry on top. Use your money to invest in a better-mannered firm that isn't merely a fraud.

I’ve received my order of my first Webster wig today. For background context, I have been wearing lace front wigs for 12 years. I style wigs. I have worked in theatre with wigs. This wig is trash. The lace is powder pink against my neutral skintone (god forbid I was anything but light skinned and wanting to wear this), it is incredibly scratchy, and sits with gaps around the hairline, and I have a very average sized head. I have cut the lace back to the actual hairline in trying to make this salvageable and it even still is going to need darts on either side at the temple for it to sit clean and correctly. Where the lace is sewn into the base is horrific. It’s really good for nothing but an extension piece. I’ve worked with wigs for many years and all I can tell you is that whoever is doing quality control here - if that is occurring at all - is failing. Disaster. ‘Highest quality synthetic wigs’ does not even come CLOSE. Different planet. Different universe. Based on all the other reviews, I will not even bother reaching out. It’s just cheap trash and you can get cheap trash at this same quality for cheaper if that’s what you want. This experience tells me that this company is ran by people who have no actual passion for what they are doing or offering. First and last time.

I found out, my parcel is on the way back to never got my order. I don’t understand why, the following address was 100% correct, I payed everything, never got my money back and now I got a bill from Fedex to pay customs

I wanted to give an update with my poor experience. After trying everything & getting nothing from them I went through Paypal to get a refund which was simple to do. 10 minutes after Paypal issued my refund Webster Wigs contacted me asking for the wig back, so they see your comments/complaints but just ignore them until they want something off you.

Thought I'd give one of these synthetics a go, I have alopecia and was a little worried these wigs would look too fake as they mainly seem to be for drag, however I was so pleasantly surprised! Really fast delivery and came in a lovely bag, incredibly soft hair and excellent lace. So, so worth it, will definitely be coming back.

I used to love this company…
I used to love this companies wigs up until
recently (2021/2022). I have spent well over $2000 on wigs from this company and know their previous quality very well. All past wigs I have bought have been wonderful, no problems. Now the wigs I have received recently have been quite honestly terrible. They came extremely thin and patchy with broken, loose, and torn strands of hair and very noticeable tracks showing. Any way you part them you can see the wefts. It's mostly with their new style "Blair." I have purchased two "Lily" style wigs recently and they were fine. But when I tried to get in touch about said wigs my emails went ignored completely. I just wanted to return the wigs and have them refunded or given store credit so I could maybe try buying a different wig, but I never received any type of response so I did have to open a paypal dispute unfortunately. The dispute took weeks because they never responded right away to those emails either. I got partially refunded for my first purchase, but the second purchase I had made is still under review in the moment. I used to love their wigs and own about 20 or more, but now I'm not sure I will purchase from them again until they have better business practices or fix their wig situation.
Unprofessional non-existent customer service
I have purchased several wigs from this company in the past without any issues. In the present, however, I am appalled by their complete lack of customer service. Sent out several emails but never received any reply even though it has been months. Questions on their Instagram get ignored or just straight up deleted.
Reading other reviews it seems I'm supposed to be grateful I have not been blocked yet?
I simply do not understand this complete lack of professionalism and total lack of care for their returning customers.

If I could give them a zero I would - this is appalling customer relations (I can't even call it service as all they are doing is making a mockery of themselves).
They blamed me - the customer- because I didn't ask them for additional photos of their product before purchasing. And although the images don't represent what the products look like it's my fault because I should have looked into this before buying.
The gaslighting this company does is shocking - the images of the product do not represent what you get. Do not buy from them, do not even consider contacting them as Josh - the company owner is completely delusional.
Excellent quality wigs
Excellent quality wigs. Not sure why such bad reviews. I work for a theatre in the West End and we have purchased at least 200 wigs and not one issue I think some of the reviews on here are false as they always respond to emails. By the way they do say do not message on Instagram ! Email instead
Zero customer service - they delete negative Instagram comments!
I received a wig that was not as shown in the photo on the website. I got in touch to speak to them - there is zero customer service! They deleted my Instagram comments and ignored my emails. They ended up blocking me on Instagram. I would seriously avoid because there's basically no way to get your money back if you're unhappy (which I was!)
Bad service and bad products
Item arrived and was not as shown in the images. Company wouldn't reply to three emails i sent to discuss, so I ended up having to claim through PayPal. They didn't reply to PayPal messages promptly either so it took over a month to get a refund and I also had to pay an expensive package returns cost. Bad service and bad products.
I’m hugely disappointed with this…
I’m hugely disappointed with this company and their shocking lack of treatment with their customers. I have over the years (4 years) purchased many Webster’s. I have spent well over £1000 on their website and seen them at numerous shows around London such as IMATs and Dragworld.
I received two wigs in one of my most recent orders with them and I was shocked at how bad the quality was. Clearly I have been lucky it was only one reading all the other reviews! I decided to email using the contact us form on their frankly quite awful website. It was completely ignored. I then contacted them on their gmail email, and again this was completely ignored. I really wish I read all the reviews here before hand as it’s so sad that a company would rather just take money and not give a damn about the customer or their experience!
I will most definitely be contacting trading standards and the ombudsman in the UK, and I will most certainly be taking this further. I know of a lot of drag artists in the scene and I will also be contacting them to ensure that they do not continue to use this awful company to represent their bad ethics and brand!
You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking money off people and providing them with such awful services!
