Was contacted by someone names Belinda…
Was contacted by someone names Belinda Jay regarding an apparent job working for BT & EE. She arranged a teams interview with someone named “Hayley” I was advised at the end of the call that my interview was successful and was offered the job and given start dates etc. She wanted me to turn my camera on to show her my passport. She also asked for my NI number and said she would be emailing me and that I needed to respond with my ID and proof of address so she could send over a contract and arrange for equipment to be delivered ahead of training. It’s been a week and I’m still waiting to hear back. Pretty sure this is a scam just to get pictures of peoples ID
Time wasters with attitude.
Paul from glasgow phoned with no prior knowledge or interest in understanding my poor customer experience.
He continued to waste my time before explaining he would not be able to advise on any timescales for the complaint being appropriately dealt with.
He then began increasingly frustrated sighed and used childish tones to say IM SORRY in a moment of anger.
Not well handled at all. Also poor service receiving unsolicited calls on a Sunday.
DO NOT EVER WORK HERE
I’ve worked in 21 jobs and this is by far the worst. Disgusting company with a disgusting ethos that could not care less if it’s staff starve or become homeless. We worked on behalf of Vodafone and to pay a poverty minimum wage while generating 84 billion pounds of profit in 2021 is criminal, they put a “generous bonus scheme” in place to justify this which is a complete lie and not achievable. The system’s they use are broken and the managers couldn’t care less about you as a person or about the company. I could write for hours but implore anyone who is considering employment with webhelp to reconsider. Worst mistake I ever made and worst mistake you could ever make.
Very rude staff
Very rude staff, i just hung up the call when the woman who rang me started giving me lip
READ CAREFULLY
READ CAREFULLY
I have worked for this company for nearly 3 years, 2 and a half in smart working.
The management is really bad, rude and unprofessional, it is a mirror of the mediocre and provincial mentality of the country in general.
Before the covid 19 pandemic, and when I was still working in the office, I saw some unimaginable things, I've seen people stealing items from lockers, coats in the wardrobe even worse, I saw people selling drugs during the working hours, (cocaine) people taking it in the bathrooms, I have reported these things numerous times, but no one did anything.
In almost 3 years I have found errors in my payslips for more than 2000 euros, every time I pointed out that money was missing, they apologized saying that there were mistakes, and that I would have received the money the following month. it was always the same.
They base this theft of money (most of the employees are foreigners) on the fact that most of the people did not know the Portuguese legislation and they are not able to read the payslips because nobody explains it.
Their rule was: if they DO NOT notice that it is missing money in the payslip, we leave everything like this, if they notice it we tell them that there has been a mistake and we send them the money.
50 60 euros to each employee with 70 80 people every month, in one year you have saved (or stolen) more than 100K euros per year.
TOTALLY ILLEGAL
I have left the company 2 months ago and have not been paid yet, no one replies to emails, I have been at the company's headquarters but no one shows up except the security. I will go to the authorities.
If they offer you a job, do not accept, it's a very toxic workplace.
Never Again
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
What happened to me with this company is very, very illegal, and absolutely unprofessional!
I applied for a job, and made it through all the tests (language and technical), they assured me that I was going to start working with them.
I sent them all my data like a copy of my ID, bank account, etc., and they've sent me the contract.
I signed it, sent it back, and half an hour later, they called me to tell me that they did NOT choose me (??after signing the contract??)
I should have trusted the comments I read on the internet about the company! I should have trusted my instinct when I realized that the “English interviewer” had a lower English level than I, and when I realized that they have a TERRIBLE organization.
But the problem remains, THEY HAVE ALL MY DATA, and they can do whatever they want with it!
But the worse is that I declined 2 other job opportunities because they assured me that the job was mine and that I would start working with them!
DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!
Racist company
Worst company ever to work for
Worst company ever to work for ! Avoid this company please otherwise you will ruin your life!! Never provided a payslips for 3 months of work, never pay they workers correctly ! Always having to chase the payment ! They find excuses to not pay you because of their rubbish system ! The worse thing that happened to me was starting in this company, caused me major stress and anxiety !! Not even an apology for late payment or anything, communication is rubbish and they are rude.
Awful job training was disgusting to…
Awful job training was disgusting to stating they have gave me final pay yet not received anything disgusting company get passed pillar to post with everything!!
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible
The way web help has treated me is disgusting, unfair and I shall be going public with it
They took off from training for ikea to then train for Vodafone, thru then dismissed me for having theft on my record from 15 years ago
We are just a number
It all starts with a two week training program by zoom meeting with a big group. During training everything seems nice, the work looks amazing and the management team all friendly and supportive. In my case, I'm working for Vodafone (client of WebHelp), they show us videos of how "amazing" it is to be part of Vodafone and how you'll love every part of this job and how selling is nothing more than a conversation.
During those two weeks we study unnecessary things and we also do some call listening which helps a bit.
After the two weeks, we enter academy. This is where you start noticing what this job truly is. Academy is when you start taking calls but have a support call on teams to help you with any questions you may have.
Be prepared to have extremely rude customers on the phone. Most of the time they will ask to speak with the manager and we have to answer that it's not possible, and if they want to complain it has to be made by filling a form online. Which means you're completely by yourself and you'll have to handle the situation without a manager.
After two weeks of academy, they start to become strict. You have 5 minutes to do after call work (write notes regarding the call). If you stay in ACW more than 5 min you start to get messages from the management team asking you why you're still in after call work. In other words, they think we are robots and that we have to answer calls after calls.
If we put the customer on hold for two long, we get messages again, asking us why. (As if we had put the customer on hold to make a cup of coffee). Team leaders will put pressure on you every single day, from start to finish, to make you up-sell. All they care about is targets. Managers and team leaders don't answer calls, but get bonus from our sales. Oh and the bonuses that they talk about during training, you'll only be able to gain them if you sell a home broadband during a month. If not, then no bonus.
They will also tell you to not hesitate to ask for help once you leave academy. But when you leave that stage and need support they will either ignore your message or reply two hours later, when it's not needed.
There's not enough help and what they care more about is the targets and bonuses that they will get from our hardwork.
The system (Halo) that they use is the worst, to say the least. It's slow, not user friendly, and you'll probably have to login more than once during your shift as it's always crashing. It's impressive how a big company like Vodafone uses this system within the UK.
Be prepared to read long terms and conditions when putting a sale through. You'll have to read them word for word and if you miss something, they have a dedicated team (quality team) to check calls and make sure we get penalised.
There are also some departments (billing team) within this campaign who will simply hang up the call when you try contacting them.
Every week they recruit new people because there's always people leaving. They still haven't wondered why so many people leave.
And as if all of this wasn't already enough they charged me £200 which was my last pay. But they wanted an excuse to not pay the £200. So they put on the payslip £200 for equipment. (Who would even want a heavy computer that takes 20 minutes to turn on?) They then gave me the refund after sending them a proof that the equipment had been received by them.
We are just a number.
If you thinking of joining this company…
If you thinking of joining this company dont do it there very unorganized there trainers are very nice but they don't have the equipment to train you to do the actual job so you be sent out to take calls an be just lost . Also I was promised an incentive if I did 24 hrs over time in a week an they never paid me my incentive plus paid me short on over time . I asked the manager about my incentive an she kept saying the next day it will come several times I tried calling payroll for 3days an its like no one works in that department because no one ever answers . I was forced to get a side job with deliveroo because I had extra bills to pay and the incentive that I never got was suppose to cover that and while making a delivery I got hit by a van an ended up in the hospital so thanks alot webhelp this company is the worse in history
Horrible improffesional non-technical cold HR!!!
All is written here:
Dear WebHelp,
I applied for job in WebHelp to be the part of multicultural modern society. I accepted all the interviews and tried to do my best for this. But it all costed me a lot of energy and nothing came back. It was said that starting date is 21st January but nothing happened. Than on 21st January someone called me like 6 times, when I had horrible fever so it was impossible for me to call you back. I called back to HR on Sunday, 23rd January, I described my situation and I tried to sign documents. Nobody asked me how I feel, if it will be possible for me to start on 24th January or what.
What happened than was that the page was not available, all I saw was white page with nothing- via notebook, via phone, via Wi-Fi, via Internet cable, via data. So I called to HR and they told me (citation): "You are the first who has this problem but usually whe we have this problem, you should go to try it to another person from another computer."
Does this make you sense?!
Should I went around all the city (when a lot of my friends are sick because of COVID, etc.) and try to sign ONE document that is possible to send me via post?! Is it too hard for you to send me this by this way?! We both have 8 days to deal with all personal administration, so why is your HR so arrogant and cold?! You could send me this via post and create me log accounts before so I could start to work without this stupid complications!!!
You wanted me to work for you, I felt very thankful but YOU are the one who SHOULD try to help me with YOUR administration!!!
I saw all the reviews about WebHelp and it is horrible how your HR treat your people or people who really want to work for you! I worked in many societies but I never met so non-technical HR!!!
So due to improfessional HR´s treatment, indolence and bad reviews, I decided to not to continue with this society.
I know that I am not the only one in this world but we agreed on my starting for you, so it should be sure!!!
Goodbye forever.
P.S.: WebHelp does not help!!!
If choice is between Webhelp and another job, choose the latter.
I worked as a Customer Support Advisor for Webhelp in Athens, Greece. During training I kept hearing that Webhelp employees are not alone. That there is a sense of community, working within a team environment, leading by example and so on. That is NOT the case. First of all, training is inadequate and leaves you with more questions than the ones you started with in the first place. Trainers enveloped us with "kindness" and a "we care" attitude while bombarding us at the same time with unecessary pressure and strain as if it is a matter of life or death. Smart questions by the recruits led to answers such as: "That's a very good question however you are rushing, there is no need to go through that at the moment" showing the trainer's unreadiness and incapacity to respond.
As far as management is concerned, people with low emotional intelligence and utter inability to communicate effectively and in a courteous manner, are placed on lead management positions. Unfortunately this is something you become aware of after you are already way into production and servicing customers. Excessive call monitoring, never-ending ambiguity when it came to who I was supposed to refer to when I had questions and being passed on from one incompetent executive to another was a constant phenomenon.
In a nutshell, Webhelp is simply another example of a completely lacking in basic fundamentals Greek mechanism, that wants to come across as a multinational business with a global mindset and corporate expectations. I would not recommend working for Webhelp not even if one is in desperate need to find a job.
Pros: Paid on time. If you do not work remotely but on site, you get to meet interesting fellow workers from all around the world.
Worst place to work EVER
Great place to work
Colleagues at the company are all very friendly, and they are focused on building a more genuine culture. My team is very supportive and offers room for growth and personal development!
Worked there about 4 year
Worked there about 4 year, was suicidal 3 and a half of them
Most horrible work experience of my life
While employed here I felt so unsafe and unrecognised as an individual that after 3 months I decided to quit working for Webhelp. My first issue with the job was the training, this was given by a video call for 2 weeks. ( When you apply, they state you will receive access to a practicing environment. For my knowledge none of the employees trained in the last halve year had access to this.) Even 2 weeks after the training was finished there where no access credentials for a practice environment neither for the normal working environment. As this company didn't had any haste to educate its employees or to actually make it possible for them to work, I decided I had to leave this place. When I turned in my resignation it became clear that Webhelp has no intention to improve into a cohesive and safe work environment. As I am still a team player I decided to stay working for 3 more weeks if these would be payed out which was agreed upon by the 2 HR staff members. Sadly after continuing working until my ending date was reached without being late a single time, this company still neglects to pay me for those worked hours. My advice to anyone who is currently looking for a call center job in Lisbon don't give in to the bonus Webhelp offers new hires, it is not worth it! #modernslavery
