WRS have been excellent throughout the entire process. I could not have done anything shout the support from the amazing and lovely Caitlin , she kept me informed throughout . Lots of updates and progress reports . I was first slightly disappointed that the bank rejected my case however Caitlin pushed them on my behalf even though I could not get the full refund of the money I lost back . Daniel Barlow at Wealth Recovery Solicitors was like an angel to me after feeling defeated by a horrible job scam that took tens of thousands and then felt even worse when the fraud team from my main bank of decades told me they couldn’t do anything. My situation went very serious with a house repossession started by my bank that made the situation extremely stressful. I struggled to fully comprehend the situation as I had genuinely previously worked remotely online too and Daniel was so well informed that he knew not only of the elaborate scam which came presented to me as a job opportunity but also exactly how he would recover lost money. He took control without overwhelming me as I was feeling unwell at the time too and asked for information whilst every time checking if I knew how to get it and even explained clearly how to. I am so grateful I stumbled across WRS online after feeling hopelessly scammed as neither the banks nor action fraud helped in recovering funds.

I was asked for my bank account details and Kraken address. Then download Anydesk in order to show my account. When I felt uncomfortable sharing my private data and related it to the advisor he was rude. Then I ended the call and I am still waiting for my profit to be withdrawn. I am getting constant calls from 020 numbers (020 3996 5781) the latest once

I contacted WRS in October 2024 after I realised I was being scammed by someone called Jessica Burge who I had come across on an early retirement FB group. Long story short I put some money into a trading platform called Optimax Edge and saw returns in investment and even had money returned to me, part of the ploy to lure people in and build credibility. I fell foul of the scam to the tune of £40,000.
When I realised I was being scammed I initially thought I would have no recourse for recovery as there was an element of crypto exchange involved, but I contacted WRS and after providing them with information they agreed to take my case on a no won no fee basis. They also explained at the time that it was a complex case and could take some time, particularly if my case needed to go to the Financial Ombudsman.
Long story short(ish!), despite the bank refusing the initial decision made by the financial investigator assigned to my case WRS continued to support my case going to appeal with the Financial Ombudsman. The original decision was upheld and my bank was instructed to pay 100% of monies plus 8% simple interest - WRS had successfully argued that I had done everything in my power and done due diligence checks, such that the Financial Ombudsman agreed there was no contributory negligence on my part.

Wealth Recovery Solicitors (WRS) have looked after me with considerable professional understanding from March to November 2025 after I was scammed losing about £58,000. They have kept me informed of processes throughout the long drawn out episode. They helpfully engaged with the Financial Ombudsman after the bank initially refused any refund. The combined efforts of WRS and the Financial Ombudsman eventually extracted a 50% refund offer from the bank, which I was advised by WRS was relatively normal in the circumstances, so I accepted. I am pleased to have reached a conclusion with the great support of WRS. I would recommend WRS to anyone who is unfortunate enough to be the victim of being financially scammed.

WRS surpassed my expectations and were able to win a substantial refund following a crypto scam I had fallen victim to. From the initial introduction and throughout the whole process I have received a professional and polite experience with excellent communication and support.

So I had some misfortune and I got scammed of around £40,000 last year and I was really stupid what I did I trusted some idiots on on messaging doing some games and I lost a lot of money anyway so I didn’t know what to do.
