I ordered a rod, reel and some line, all of which were showing as being in stock. Without being told, the shipping date kept slipping to the right (visible by logging in to the Waveinn account to check order status). They're clearly selling stock they don't hold, but showing it as being in stock to incentivise people to place orders, and hoping they don't subsequently get cancelled. I won't knowingly waste my time or spend money with companies like this.

Having previously ordered from Waveinn with no problems whatsoever, I didn't hesitate to place an order (58929878) for some Fuji fishing rod guides. The order arrived but unfortunately was missing an item. I reported this & expected the missing item to be sent. A simple resolution to an honest mistake.

I had to instigate a return for something that wasn't delivered, I even had to provide photographs of an item that wasn't delivered. You have to smile.
Despite my requests for a simple delivery of the missing item Waveinn insisted on giving me a refund, which they did. Thanks for that.
This then meant I would need to re-order the missing item at £2.50 with £6.99 postage. Not an economical option. Don't forget I had already paid postage for the item that wasn't sent.
Anyway they wouldn't budge, but they did offer a 5% discount code. I'll never get to redeem that as I'll never order from them again.

Ordered a pair of binoculars and received a broken item. Customer service required me to pay for return shipping, which is completely unfair given the item arrived damaged. Very disappointed with the experience and won’t be shopping here again. I do not recommend this store.

I placed an order from Norway. At no point during the order process did I see that I was infact placing an order outside of Norway, all prices and freight costs were displayed on the website in NOK.
Imagine my surprise when I receive notification from Posten (freight forwarder) to say there is an additional Kr 1235 to be paid upon collection of purchased item.
I contacted Waveinn who said that this was clearly stated on their website. I have been in again, adding something to the basket on their website and looked and cannot see any warnings about this mentioned below.
This is an extract from their customer support response: -
"On our web page it is clearly mentioned that if you are ordering from outside the European Union customs fees may be applied. When placing the order you have accepted and agreed to our terms and conditions, therefore, if you are not willing to pay the customs fees then your order might get lost in transit on its way back to us or destroyed by customs. In that case we won't be able to issue the refund".
Wow, that is a nice response to get.
Imposition of the Kr 1235 fee constitutes a material breach of Norwegian consumer protection laws, including but not limited to the Consumer Purchases Act (Lov om forbrukerkjøp), the Cancellation Act (Angrerettloven), and the Marketing Control Act (Markedsføringsloven), as enforced by the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet).
I am in the process of reporting this matter to the relevant Norwegain authorities to ensure that no one else is lured by this company.
Shame on you!

Please everyone be aware that all these responses from Waveinn are generic, copy & paste.
These people know what they are doing and they do not care.
Thankfully in Norway customers have protection and Waveinn are about to find out the full force of this.
I have already had feedback from one of the 3 government agencies I forwarded this case onto.

Bought a camping cooker for an upcoming trip in my camper - took 11 days to arrive and the glass top was shattered in delivery
I had to log into my account online then go to orders and follow instructions to submit a query
24 hours later I got an email to log back back into my account- there’s a message to ask me do I want to keep the product at a discounted price - I have reply no and nothing - no email or instructions to reply
So my trip is now upcoming, but I don’t even know what’s happening with the broken cooker and it was over €300
Update : I eventually recieved a return label and sent the cooker back , I have not recieved a refund yet

Damaged box in shipping missing tripod and 12 emails later just the run around do not buy if in the usa i did receive the other 2 items i ordered. But the box is damaged and it was missing. And all their emails to me are not returnable emails. No emails listed on site anywhere. So no way to communicate with them tried 2 phone calls and just a recording. Save yourself the trouble
