Would not bother with WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION SERVICES LTD

Purchased a car in May 2025 from a main dealer. The Car was serviced as part of the purchase by the main dealer.
The wetbelt has failed after 4000 miles !!!!.
WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION SERVICES have refused the warranty claim, as the wetbelt should have been changed in Dec 2025 and failed in Mar 2026.

We were not told that wetbelt should be replaced before the next planned service in May 2026

I would steer clear of car warranty claims companies and I will not purchase a policy from WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION SERVICES

Further to WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION SERVICES eloquent reply.

Do not waste your money on this type of Car Warranty.
As stated the Car WAS serviced by the main dealer at purchase. So there was 2 months left before the next service date. If there is a way not to pay, they will find a way out, but both dealer and company are very quick to take the £498.

Sorry made an error in the above, the car had only done 3500 miles from the last service date, not 4000.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are sorry that your experience did not match up to your expectations.

Your supplying dealer warranty, that started on 22/04/25, does state that you must service and maintain the vehicle as per the manufacturers recommendations for it to remain valid.

You are correct that on your vehicle the timing belt change interval, as recommended by the manufacturer, does show that the belt should have been replaced as a maintenance item when the vehicle was 6 years old, at the end of November 2025.

Unfortunately, as the belt had not been replaced when it should have been the subsequent failure, 4 months afterwards, is not covered by your dealer warranty.

It is always the owner/driver’s responsibility to ensure that the recommended servicing and maintenance tasks are carried out on their vehicle at the correct time/mileage.

We are sorry that on this occasion your dealer warranty has not covered the timing belt failure but that this reply clarifies the reason why.

Exceptional Service

After sales care is always something that can be concerning, especially when it comes to purchasing a used vehicle.
That has not been a concern at all so far with WAS. Unfortunately within a few weeks of ownership our vehicle developed several faults, but after speaking with Matthew the claims were approved at a speedy rate and with exceptional communication. I'm very impressed with the service we have received.

The whole process exceeded my…

The whole process exceeded my expectations. Upon submitting my claim I received confirmation that the claim was approved within 3 days . No haggling !!!Once I had submitted the receipt the payment was received within 3 working days , absolutely marvellous.

A pleasure dealing with the guys from WAS especially Matthew who has been an absolute superstar throughout my claim. Many thanks Matt.
Small issue with split pipe that manifested to belts being replaced was resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.

Had an unusual warranty situation which Vicky took ownership of and resolved for us very efficiently and swiftly resulting in the customers new policy being emailed over to him straight away. Many thanks for your help Vicky that turned out much easier than i expected thanks to you :)

Quick & Easy

My Volvo’s door became jammed, and the air ventilation was faulty. Matthew was very helpful and processed my warranty claim quickly and efficiently.
Thanks to the excellent support & service I will be extending my dealer warranty.

Good service is easy when things go well, but …

Good service is easy when things go well, but Robert and the team at WAS have given great service after we had problems with a used car.

I must admit I was doubtful about whether the warranty we got from T C Harrison would be worth the paper it was written on, but to give credit where it's due our not insignificant claim was met in full.

Communications were prompt throughout the process, things were explained clearly and it was almost a pleasure to be able to talk to the team on the phone and follow-up by email.

Thanks for all your help!

I honestly can’t thank Tara and Matthew…

I honestly can’t thank Tara and Matthew enough!
I’m useless with cars and forgot I had warranty, Tara did everything in her power to get my garage to contact them asap! So that I didn’t have to fork out so much for my car to be fixed as was all under warranty!
They were helpful, quick and so welcoming.
Matthew helped me towards the end helping me with what I needed to sort and his replies by email were fast and helpful. Such a lovely team of people and I couldn’t recommend them enough ❤️

Excellent work by Tara Paulson & WAS

I would recommend Warranty administration service without a doubt,i was in a very interesting situation with the garage I purchased my car from.I contacted warranty administration services and was very fortunate to be put in contact with Tara Paulson. I really cannot thank Tara enough for all her hard work amazing communication with myself and help seeing the whole claim all the way through. She really is a wonderful member of staff and a true asset to the company.Thanks again Tara and I really hope you see this review.

Unfortunately I had a problem with my car, but so glad it was covered by WAS ltd. The process was very straightforward and I had the pleasure of dealing with a lovely lady named Tara, who talked me through the process and made the claim stress free. Communication was top notch and Money was paid out quickly. :)

Was a customer previously for a few…

Was a customer previously for a few years was and very happy with the servcie when I broke down. Then had new car warranty from car dealer. Back to Gen Assist again now. Always extremely happy to recommend them.

Great service - professional and helpful

I’ve used WAS on a number of occasions now, and every time they’ve been exactly the people you want on the other end of the phone. They know the technical detail and have been through the process enough times to be able to give a fair and clear steer on whether the issue is likely to be covered or not. Always fast and working to get things moved along as quickly as they can be. A big shout out to Tara for her helpfulness and knowledge.
