Excellent Service
Although what was supplied was not quite correct as an item had been mispicked. As soon as I notified Walker Tools the correct item was despatched to me straight away. Everybody makes mistakes it's how they are dealt with which is the true measure and this experience could not have been better. I shall certainly be using Walker Tools again.

The thing that impressed me most was not the sending out of my order but the fact that Andrew Walker(?) picked up when I rang later for some advice (which he declared he was not really able to give). He listened and discussed my problem with me. In today's 'couldn't care less world' it was wonderful to be able to talk to someone who genuinely wanted to help. I think this was quite an uncommon experience and I wish the company the very best. Five stars is nowhere near enough Is there a 'whole galaxy' rating?.

A Little Extra Information Require!
Goods arrived in good time and it has a wooden handled. However, a little extra detail would be good: Has serated blade edge.
The current image provide no real clue even when enlarged. A close-up of the blades edge would be benificial together a description.
As it goes it's great if you're hacking away but useless if looking for a smooth scything cut. The blade also requires honing before use and peening will difficult.
The paper wrapping around the blade was a nice touch, shame no guard.
Buy again? Not sure, I'm going to need a lot more bramble and scrub if I do.

You are correct in that our wooden handled sickle has a serrated edge, if you hover your mouse over the image on the website it does offer a zoomed picture and this can be seen however I completely agree that we could make it a lot clearer.
We are trying to go through all our products and add further information to the product descriptions, this is a timely process due to the number of products we stock but I'm confident that in the near future we will complete this to give all our customers more information to direct their purchase.

Hi Mark, I'm very sorry that you aren't happy with the sickle that you ordered. You actually phoned us before placing the order and I explained to you that it was a 16" curved blade, I also offered you our Grass Slasher which is much larger but you opted for the sickle so I'm not sure what size you were expecting it to be.
The image on the website does show that this sickle has a serrated edge, however I agree that adding more information onto the description on the website would be helpful and I will endeavour to get this updated as soon as time allows.
As for the quality of the product I'm sorry that you feel it isn't up to the quality you were hoping for however we have numerous other five star reviews from customers who are more than happy with the quality of the sickle so once again I'm unsure as to why you feel the quality is so low.
If you feel there is anything else we can do to resolve this situation then I'd be more than happy to speak with you again.

Great knowledge of the products
When I phoned to get a quote for the blade I needed, I received a great amount of technical information and I learned a lot. It was a free of charge lecture. I felt that I was confident to proceed with the purchase.
Two days after the blade arrived and I am very pleased with it.

Saved me paying a fabrication shop!
I've got a vintage table saw and I've been struggling to get reducing rings / bushing washers for ages!
I have been quoted by fabrication shops between £150-200 to make some so I gave up and I've just beaten some washers to size that was 'close enough', but it was never very precise.
By some miracle, I found this website and they had some in the size I needed for a pound each! They arrived the next day and the fit is spot on. The internal diameter was ever so slightly undersized, you can dial it in to your saw arbor by just rolling some sandpaper into a tube and rotating the washer around it. I prefer it this way. It takes a minute per blade and makes for an absolute perfect fit with zero play.
Very helpful on the phone as well, can't recommend them highly enough :)

Hi Mateusz, thank you for wonderfully detailed review. I'm glad that the bushing washers got to you so quickly and that they've solved the problem.
The washers themselves are CNC Turned and precision ground so should be a perfect fit, however as they are then coated this can sometimes make them ever so slightly too tight. As you say though it is very simple with a little bit of sand paper to fix this and with bushes it's always better for them to be too tight than too loose!

I had a query with them which they acted on straight away and delivered to me a circular saw blade with a 20mm diameter arbor which is what I needed, after my original order asking for a 16mm diameter arbor. Excellent service
