Wabilogic is the licensed manufacturer for Melitta electric appliances. I purchased a Melitta Vision 12 cup Luxe coffee brewer it was in service for 14 months. The warranty is one year. The coffee maker was on the verge of catching on fire billowing smoke from its base during a routine decalcification. Then the brewer stopped mid cycle and would not restart. I sent Wabilogic an email explaining the situation and ask for a replacement being that it was only in service for 14 months and also noting that I understand if they didn't warranty the unit. They emailed me back stating that the unit was out of warranty and they would not replace it. OK I understand that but what really got me was they told me the only thing they would consider was to offer me a 10 dollar discount on their least expensive coffee maker...that to me is insulting. They would have been better served if the just said no. I purchased their top of the line brewer it failed two months out of warranty, so they would not replace it under warranty I get that at least offer me a discount on the same model not 10 dollars off their cheapest model. I am waiting a reply from Melitta, but I can tell you this I will never again purchase a Melitta branded electric appliance. I do not and will not ever recommend them.
