really poor vps server provider

really poor vps server provider, do not subscribe their services even promotion keep giving and $1 per month vps, their server network speed unstable, you even cannot properly edit file via visual studio code, you even create a folder, it also can disconnected from SSH, you need to keep restart the server to get back connection, their control panel UI look nice, but actually the response too much slower, worst vps I use ever.

Their customer service response also too slow, and not accept any cancellation request to refund to original payment method, so do not waste your money.

Their windows and Linux VPS systems are an excellent value, quick to order, and their customer service is extremely responsive.

A person should feel free to ask about possible options if what is desired is not seen when ordering. they provided my preferred Linux version on request, no extra charge or noticable delay

I probably won't stick with Windows, cuz lets be honest, its Windows, but I have never had an issue with Servhost performance, they respond to tickets in a timely manner and my uptime monitors never alert me to anything out of the ordinary... I think any lower reviews tend to be people with real low-end specs that push it to the limits.

I can honestly say, (and I jump on their sales normally) this really is a decent provider when used properly.

FRAUD and SCAM

This company operates under multiple domain names and my experience has been terrible.

They suspended my Windows VPS claiming it was sending spam, which makes no sense. There is no mail server installed on the machine, so it’s not even capable of sending email like that. I kept asking them for proof or logs and they never provided anything.

Eventually they admitted the issue was lifted on their end, but they still haven’t restored my server. So now my data and backups are basically being held hostage with no real explanation.

From what I’ve seen, the abuse claim clearly wasn’t properly verified. It honestly feels like they throw out these claims without checking, and customers are the ones who get screwed.

Also makes me question whether this is even a true VPS or if it’s some kind of shared setup where other issues get blamed on you.

Support has been useless through all of this.

Stay away from vpshostingservice.co, cheapwindowsvps.com, and serverhost.com.

SCAM FOR DUBLIN SERVER

I payed for the Dublin server, it showed that they are available. But when I didn't get the credentials, I wrote them to find out that they only can provide in USA (which I don't need). They told me they don't know when server in Europe will be available and they can't return money because I payed with crypto.
So now I just send money for the service they don't have and they can't return money. What a scam!

Scam?

I've purchased a server for a specific location, after payment they told me that the location is not available and that I should wait few days. the few days turned to more few days every time I've asked, it's been almost a month since I've purchased the server and nothing changed. I'm asking for a refund, will update the review if they give me trouble about that too.

I bought a slot in Dublin

I bought a slot in Dublin, but there was no space left for my VPS to fit in. The support was very fast and eventually refunded me.

I’ll try again when a slot opens in Europe.

Receive a 750 kbps DoS flood, nulled & potentially reinstalled (i.e., you may lose your files.)

I’ve been using this hosting provider since 2023, and after more than three years, I feel I can give a fair and honest review.

My package was a 1 vCore, 1GB RAM, 15GB NVMe VPS with a dedicated IPv4 address routed through HostPapa/DEFT.COM. At just $1/month, the pricing was incredibly affordable, and honestly, the service seemed almost too good to be true.

To their credit, uptime was excellent. I never experienced any noticeable node-side or upstream downtime during my entire time with them. For a budget VPS, that level of stability is genuinely impressive.

However, my experience took a sharp turn recently. My VPS IP was unintentionally exposed during a Discord screenshare, and shortly after, it was targeted by a relatively small DoS attack (around 500 pps / 750 kbit/s from a single IP). Instead of mitigating the attack or working with me on a solution, the provider initially null-routed my VPS and suspended the service entirely. I lost all access, including to Virtualizor.

What’s more frustrating at first was the response from support. The initial solution offered was to reinstall the machine, which would have meant losing hours of development and configuration work. There was no immediate attempt to assist with mitigation, temporary filtering, or even guidance on recovery beyond starting from scratch.

After going back and forth with the hosting team, they eventually allowed me to zip and extract my sensitive contents from the machine before pushing the reinstall. While this recovery option came later than I would have hoped, it did save me from total data loss.

I understand that low-cost hosting comes with limitations, but a complete shutdown over a relatively small attack — even temporarily — highlights serious restrictions. Customers need to maintain off-site backups and have a contingency plan.

In summary:

Pros: Extremely cheap pricing, solid uptime over several years, eventual recovery of files possible after bickering with support.

Cons: Harsh handling of abuse incidents, lack of immediate support flexibility, risk of data loss without backups.

Overall, great for experimentation or low-risk projects — but I’d be cautious about relying on it for anything critical.

The service is just so unreliable and…

The service is just so unreliable and poorly advertised.

Everyone here who gives high ratings do not understand what false advertisement is. It is okay to not expect much out of a low cost VPS provider but at least they should be transparent.

The vCPUs are incredibly poor performance yet they brag about it being high performance. The networking on cheap VPS's are claimed to be 1gbps port speeds yet it can't even reach 100mbps consistently (often drops to as low as 8mbps). Customer support also does not do much for this networking issue either.

Taking this one as a loss...

UPDATE:

Customer service has updated my service and can definitely see an improvement but still isn't as advertised. Definitely seems like a company that resells larger clusters but the resource distribution clearly has issues (CPU lags/instance not responding/networking far below expected).

Amazing experience, cancelling today but have been with them for 3 years

Amazing host, also amazing 24hr support and reliability for the price. I never experienced an outage on my server for the three years I've been with them. The virtualised cpus are a little bit sluggish but honestly i cant ask for much when I'm literally only paying 2$/month. (with the low end box discount codes)

Their interface is a liiittle bit janky but it's not bad at all. I think at some point since june 2023 they moved some stuff around and I didn't notice.

Honestly i think people forget how little they're paying for these servers (and also people only think to write a review when they have a bad experience, which they definitely can have with this kind of smaller host but I doubt its the usual experience)

I'm no longer using their services as of today because i no longer need my server, but if i ever need a linux host in turtle island again they are definitely in my top choices.

So long and thanks for all the uptime o7

Unprofessional practices, poor communication, IP change with no coordination

Gave me a notice that they were going to change my IP.

The notice didn't include any info like timing, or what the new IP would be.

I asked for clarification and details and got days of no response from them.

Then 5 days later, I noticed my vps was unreachable, found an email from them saying they had successfully migrated my vps and that no action was required, everything was good...

I had to go update a bunch of DNS records - 6 hours of downtime because they are clowns that can't plan or communicate.

Tough with money back

Like many others, I found them on LowEndBox. The service is completely non-functional: no connection, and the site is just pictures.
Update: They tried to deny a refund using a false excuse about an “updated user agreement.” Revolut had to step in to get the money back.
The payment came through as cheapwinvps, which is suspicious on its own.

Sell services that are unavailable

They take your money, then fail to deliver the service (out of stock) for a week, then send email asking you to pay again for the service or your order will be cancelled. Upon contact, they try to delay things further... so as not to issue a refund.
Don't trust them.

Worst service ever

Worst service even. Was with them about a year and in that time server went down multiple times during critical hours. Customer service is useless if they respond at all. My last straw was when they locked me out of my server for supposed sending spam. Would let me investigate didn't provide any details about it. Just pointed to their terms and conditions about it. Which I had to ask multiple times to provide the terms and conditions just get a link to their something pretty vague. Slowest server and connection like other reviews. Definitely most insecure server I have had. If you are looking for something low end and dont care I would still find someone else.

This is a scam

Despite advertising 1 Gbps and “high performance,” every VPS I’ve tried was hard-throttled to 10 Mbps and had severely limited CPU. Support is outsourced, unhelpful, and just gives generic responses. Even after VM migrations and tickets, nothing improved (in fact, their base template is hard throttled to 10 Mbps and CPU capped, so even if you ask to migrate to another node, the same thing will happen)
