22 hours ago I made the mistake of giving this company my email address and phone number because I thought to purchase from them, only to discover that by the time they had added VAT to the purchase, along with the postage, it was no longer the great purchase that I thought it might be.

I stopped short and that is when all hell appears to have broken loose.

In less than 21 hours I have had twenty-six (26) emails and nine (9) SMSes telling me "Oops, Your Order is Temporarily Closed". There is actually nothing I can do about it, because there is no option to unsubscribe from email (unlike every other decent online company- the unsubscribe option is missing) and replying "Stop" per SMS as suggested absolutely does NOT work. Why? Because it cannot be received!

Insult to injury- you cannot delete your data (on a profile/"account" of sorts) from the website and you certainly cannot edit out your email address.

Bottom line- unless you are certain that you are going to buy- do NOT, I implore you, give them your email address or your phone number.

Update: 46 hours later and I MIGHT be winning- the "Oops, Your Order is Temporarily Closed" spam count is (only) at 38 emails and 9 SMS texts.

Update 2: 4 days and 42 emails and 9SMS texts later, I am told by their customer service "...we don't have the authority to delete your account. If you don't want to use your account, just don't log in to our website in the future." Seems that they have never heard of GDPR. So, in reply to the canned response below- I already have been in touch. Over 42 times.

Excellent glasses, good delivery times

Easy to use website, lovey glasses at good prices. Arrived within 7 days and are just as shown on the site. Very happy with the service.

I have never ordered specs on line before and was so nervous that I’d made mistakes with my prescription so wasn’t sure what would arrive lol Ok it took 2weeks for my specs to arrive, well packaged in a secure box and on opening I was very happy. Exactly what I’d ordered, my prescription was perfect and both pairs fit great and look good. Will definitely order from Vooglam again, in hindsight I had nothing to worry about. Thanks guys I’m 100% happy with my service and the aftercare I received 👍🏻🙏🏼

Good quality glasses. I was a bit sceptical about buying them online. But I am really pleased with it. I'll be getting a spare pair. Also arrived quite quickly.

Great website, choice amazing you can even try on using a photo. I was a bit concerned, about using Vooglam as it was on social media, but I received my 2 pairs of glasses in about a week. Both pairs are gorgeous, great quality and love them.

Frames are amazing, delivery etc was really good but prescription is unfortunately unwearable. I can't work out what they have done wrong, but I can only see through them from about 4 feet from my computer, when I lean in, everything goes blurry, my cheap spec savers pair are perfect so it's not the prescription. As they aren't in the UK returns are impossible. Prescription and PD were both very recent and provided by my optician so I dare not risk ordering from them again. Very disappointed!

I bought some glasses frames from this company - believing that were based in UK. The frames were unsuitable so I had to return them.
But the return address is in CHINA. It would cost more to send them back than the cost of the frames.
BEWARE !!

I must admit, I was dubious about ordering as it's very difficult who to trust. However, I did my trustpilot research thoroughly and decided to buy. So glad I did.
Came earlier than expected and they are wonderful. Even my daughter who is very critical says they are better than my expensive Italian frames. Will be buying again. Many thanks

The glasses have just arrived and I’m delighted. It felt like a big risk to buy them online, from a company I didn’t know. I have no regrets. The quality is good, the styles are great, the magnification is spot on and the delivery was so well tracked that I felt really well looked after during the one week delivery period. I will be ordering one of my two new pairs again.
