Vonage Ltd

I joined this company on January for a landline number to be used overseas. I was allocated a number and tried it but it didn’t work. I tried for two days to make it work using their technical support team but failed.

I decided to cancel within the 14 days cooling off period and sent back the box. I have not received the refund till now. I have been chasing it since January and still have not received the refund.

Terrible customer service and bad company. Avoid at any cost.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, our account was suspended over a week ago, and still has not been restored, while we now find out that charges continued to accrue during the suspension (we were unable to do anything via either the web platform or the API). We now have over 150 EUR in disputed charges on our account and we still cannot access it. Vonage (Nexmo) is not the same company that it was when we began business with them over 6 years ago. We cannot recommend it anymore.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Could not fix a log in issue. Told to wait 24 hours and then try again - very technical. Not. Customer service makes commitments that are not met - i.e. call backs. Eventually got so fed up I called to cancel service. Sent to the wrong department. Waiting.....waiting....waiting.
Their head office phone and fax are not available . That always gives me misgivings and the suspicion that it is not a move to efficiency but a poor level of customer relationships
individual CSRs are pleasant but the company itself needs to do better.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. My parents lost the credit card, the same card that was being charged for the service, and instead of sending an email, or calling them, or mailing a bill, or just turning off the service, Vonage just flipped a $124 bill to collections.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. AVOID. I opened an account on 15th July and ported my current landline number (or so I thought) by completing the online form and giving my landline number, account number and provider. Once I received the Vonage box I plugged it in and discovered Vonage had issued us with a completely random telephone number. We live in the Surrey. They had given us a Devon number. Despite calling Vonage 3 times and being assured 3 times that the number would be ported and my issue 'solved' - we are now 12 August, 4 phone calls in and still no correct number. I have now cancelled my Vonage account. Note: All customer service is based in India and whilst I appreciate many companies have their customer service employees in India, I have found that with Vonage there is a complete lack of knowledge or understanding in how a wrong telephone number would impact the user.
