Over 2.5 Years, 3 “Free Upgrades”, Zero Delivery – Buyer Beware
I am writing this review to document my personal experience with Vokken Inc., and to warn future backers and customers.
I backed Vokken on Indiegogo in June 2023 (Contribution ID #32) for their kitchen knives. I have NEVER received a single knife.
Over the course of more than two and a half years, I contacted Vokken repeatedly to ask for a simple status update. Each time, I was met with apologies, reassurances, and promises - none of which were ever fulfilled.
Here is the pattern I experienced:
- First, I was told my original knives would ship.
- When nothing arrived, I was offered a free upgrade to Vokken 2.0.
- When that also failed, I was offered a free upgrade to Vokken Pro.
- I was repeatedly told shipping would happen "this week" or by specific months (December 2024, May 2025, August/September 2025).
- I was promised tracking numbers. None were ever provided.
- I explicitly stated multiple times that I did not want upgrades anymore, only the knives I originally paid for.
Despite these written assurances, nothing was ever shipped.
In July 2025, Vokken's COO (Victoria Halevi) personally assured me that I would receive the Pro version. After that message, communication slowly stopped.
Since then, despite multiple polite follow-ups - including in November 2025, early January 2026 and beyond - Vokken has completely stopped responding.
What is deeply concerning is that during all this time, Vokken continued to launch new crowdfunding campaigns on platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, promoting new products, while earlier backers like myself were left with nothing but emails and excuses.
At this point, based on my documented experience, this no longer feels like a delay or a logistics issue. It feels like a recurring pattern of collecting money, offering upgrades instead of delivery, and eventually going silent.
I regret trusting this company.
I strongly advise anyone considering backing or purchasing from Vokken to research carefully and proceed with extreme caution.
I am sharing this so others don't lose years waiting for a product that may never arrive.
Mine was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my mother that is now waiting for it for two years.
