VoiceMod can be useful if you're a streamer or need a soundboard, but when it comes to voice modulation, they really need to improve. The free demo with two voices is honestly very poor. It discouraged me from paying for premium because nothing on their site or YouTube demos guaranteed better voice quality if I subscribed. I tested the software with three different microphones, yet it struggled to capture my voice properly. The output was distorted and sounded robotic. Overall, the poor quality of the demo didn’t inspire confidence, and I’m not satisfied with the results.

While Voicemod could be interesting for other people, my opinion is really full of flaws about it. It hasn't been used very often by me, and this is because it needs a lot of configurations, especially in the voice changer. I have bought Voicemod lifetime version for around 12 pounds, because the free one was not worth spending my time on. 12 pounds tho... I thought it would be better. I wouldn't say it's extra expensive (as for 2024), but they should at least put some effort in it. Firstly, I want to talk about the voice changer. For about half of these modes were useless. For example, the one covering people, after saying words loud and clearly, the voice is mumbling something, really unclearly. I don't know why it was programmed like that, but because it's "AI generated", it should be significantly better. Secondly, when I was using the soundboard, I wanted to assign the sound to my numpad, but for some reason instead of numbers, it assigned it to left, right, down, end... etc. It shouldn't be a huge problem for others, but when using other buttons, the sound is playing without my knowledge. Thirdly and lastly, it's a big difficulty to load in the program and use it, at it is really laggy. I have a high end pc, but still I didn't figure out the problem. Reinstalling the program did not work. I think that users shouldn't be really focused on my issues. The app is interesting and worth the money. I see a lot of progression this app could get after being updated more often. Short words, it's OK.

As one of the Beta testers, I purchased a lifetime membership to Voicemod for $10 many years ago—a great deal at the time. However, the software has gone downhill since.

While they've added new features, I find them mostly unnecessary. The software has become laggy, buggy, and takes too long to load. It now requires an internet connection at every startup, which often fails to verify my account, forcing me to re-verify despite having a high-end computer and fast internet.

I've also faced issues with Voicemod detecting my HyperX microphone, sometimes forcing me to replug it, even though other software detects it without problems. Additionally, Voicemod causes crackling noises when other software or games try to use it as the microphone—a conflict that only happens when using Voicemod.

One major business practice issue is that Voicemod doesn't show the price on their website; you have to download the "free" version to find out that most features are locked behind a paywall, and only then can you see the price.

In summary, while Voicemod offers some cool voices and features, their business practices, lack of transparency about pricing, and constant online connection requirement are unacceptable. Fix the bugs, make the internet connection occasional, and be upfront about pricing on your website.

When you expect the software to be free as they say, you expect to be able to use it. Now, let's see what you can use... 3 custom sounds. That's it, now pay up. This software is NOT free-to-use and at this point, if I want to stream sounds, I'd much rather switch to something like EXP Soundboard with Voicemeeter. Don't waste your money on this.

i got logged out 2 times and had to pay 2 times. today when i wanted to use my voicemod it logged me out i tried with discord 2 emails and google and it doesent work. L

Used to be good but after an update they don't have voice pitch changer anymor. Awful.

Ngl i hate the free plan on this thing, and it wouldnt let me game chat, so i had to reset my PC for my mic to work, plus, i didnt even work for my discord

The voices sound horrible, they force you to have it start when your computer starts, it gets annoying, and its just not worth any money

Quite possibly the worst app ive ever seen. Dont advertise yourself as a free voice changer/soundboard if you cant even get basic running of the app right, not to mention its a MASSIVE CASHGRAB THAT I WOULD RATHER PAY TO GET UNINSTALLED OFF MY PC. Don't waste your time or money, find an alternative. I could make a better voice mod on a 2001 Toshiba laptop. L Business.

The program and website looks sleek, but dont be fooled. It has endless tech issues, such as apparently unfixable crackling and popping in the audio.
I've been trying to make it work for two years now.

Excellent product I’ve had voicemod for over a year works well on all platforms

It’s not allowing me past the ‘Speak into your mic’ part it’s just stuck. Loading. It has been over 20-30 minutes. I have tried looking through my pc to no luck, my first thought was to press on the need help option but it did absolutely nothing. Don’t bother go and use a different voice changer 😡

DO NOT INSTALL THIS - NIGHTMARE EVEN AFTER UNINSTALL

I wanted to get a voicemod for a character, I saw this voicemod in a video by a guy with 3m subs, video with 1m+ views, figured it'd be ok.
IT WASN'T - not only do you get a 24 hour timer that counts the moment you install (even if you're not using - and only 2 voice mods available, others locked behind sharing and others further locked behind paying)
BUT AFTER UNINSTALLING my computer no longer even recognizes my Blue Yeti microphone, it recognizes an "audio device" only, which strips it of all qualities and as I attempt to get my drivers to recognize my Blue Yeti again I'm having to watch tutorials, install a BUNCH of stuff and it's STILL not working, absolute nightmare, save yourself from the hours of torment, it's NOT WORTH IT

I have no free choise. Everthing is just pay and pay, I also had terrbile voicechangers that sounded too loud and really cheap. Whit the choise of only 4 our 5 to use they all suck.!

I uninstalled it but yet it still pops up and just steals my memory, horrible never get this

sounds like shh rubbish it DO NOT BOTHER YOU WILL REGRET IT . It would not turn off playing loud horrible non music . Not even control alt delete would shut it up . Lost volume control . Its more like a bad nightmare virus than anything like entertaining .
I can make nicer sounds after a curry in the crapper.

Gonna be honest I bought the life-time membership for $25 since I watched the funny vids with this program but since using it my mic has been cutting out on Discord so I contacted Voicemod support for some help since I looked everywhere and did everything to make it run following their tutorial, other vids on youtube to try to make it run smooth eventually I gave up and decided to see if support could help and as you can see from my review they did not after a week of waiting without any messages from support they closed it without even sending me a message to address or help with my issues

While they have fewer choices Clownfish Voice changer is much better and all the voices are free I have yet to have any issues with their software

So no I do not recommend Voicemod as their support is some of the worst on the market

Not only have I had to pay for this program twice (because you guys lost my authentication key in an update & never fixed it), but now that I've paid for it twice you guys felt it necessary to start running ads on the PAID FOR version of your software. Greedy pigs.
