Absolute Scam

Absolute Scam. NEVER BUY ANYTHING HERE!

We got a phone contract from them and noticed that it didn't work. We tried to cancel it within the next day, calling the customer service (given that under EU law you have the right to cancel within 2 weeks). Every time we get told someone will call back or people are on vacation and we just need to wait. We never get a call back. We call every day for weeks and waste countless hours in the waiting loop talking to probably >50 people overall. After over a month we finally get someone to cancel the contract. Then they charge us >3x the monthly fee of the contract and tell us we didn't cancel early enough!! We have records of calling them often multiple times a day. We went to the store trying to cancel there. We wrote to their online chatbot (only way to write to them apparently). And all this starting from day 1. Always just tell us someone will call back. What a huge waste of time and money! We never got to use the contract since it didn't work and they charge us for >3 months anyways (even though we canceled after 1 and tried to cancel the next day)!!! How can this company still exist and not be sued all the time? EU customer protection should take a look at them.

the worst internet provider in history

the worst internet provider in history. I had to go through 3 routers each year and had to get a technician to my house just to restart the router. Like bro I'm not stupid THE FIRST THING THAT I DO IS TO RESTART YOUR EURO VIETNAM SWEATSHOP REFURBISHED ROUTER! And that God damn red light makes me want to smash it into a million pieces. Then we have their stupid non experienced customer support thats probably getting paid 1,50 euro per hour that tells you to restart the router. BUT, some routers have monitoring software that allow them to restart your router and God knows what else they can do. And when you are in a godamn tech support call calling from Vodafone Sim you STILL get charged! I can't make this stuff up! Now for the data, the EXCUSE of data! It's either 4G or Edge, and Vodafones 4G™ is 1mbps which takes 4 YEARS to send or receive 1mbps of data! Edge is not even 1 kilo bit! E for Vodafone stands for Eternity! (OR SOMETIMES nEver) Also they are dirty scammers and liars! My family paid for 2 years 100mbps and what did we get?
A) 100mbps
B) 200mbps
C) 50mbps
Well by now you'd thought I the correct answer was C but it's....... NONE OF THEM! WE GOT 25MBPS. And whats their stupid reason: "There are no 5G towers in your area🤓" or something like that. THEN WHY DID YOU ASK ME IF I WANTED 100MBPS, OH WAIT BECAUSE YOUR SCAMMERS!? Yeah they are. They make their money mainly from poor souls who were unfortunate enough to choose vodafone because it had cheap prices. Yeah they have, but they have LENGTHY CONTRACTS! Sometimes up to 5 years!!! And they charge you 200-500 euro to terminate the contract! And don't even get me started on their advertising! Like every other ISP they are spending their budget on stupid robotics relating things. Like why? It's no their place! and my internet disconnected now. And also they have these stupid thing that are "trendy" to teens. They are spending their stupid budget on their stupid trendy teen ads that are #relatable like are you goddamn stupid! Don't choose vodafone if you do then be ready to experience the worst experience of your life

Worse Internet Service in Europe

Took me 30 minutes to open this page using your service. I have been in all European countries and Vodafone Greece is the worst internet service in the whole continent. Maybe you should change business because you are so incompetent I don't even know what the purpose of Vodafone is.

Just DON'T buy this SIM card.

Just don't buy this SIM card. I was conned into buying it in Greece, being promised unlimited internet - but only offers just under 10gbs anywhere else in Europe. Which would be fine if I didn't have to spend a few hours every week or so making sense of their ridiculous app, or trying to get any useful information from their reps (via a stupid robot). In fact, the rep just kept disconnecting me because obviously he/she couldn't be bothered trying to resolve the issue. All up, I paid twice for a bundle which wasn't "valid" where I was (even though they said it was) and ended up paying for "roaming" in a country where I could only access hotel WiFi!! They simply stole 25 euro from me. Don't waste your time with these thieves.

Vodafone international prepaid card

Vodafone international prepaid card, DON'T BUY IT!! THE WORST SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION IVE EVER had to deal with. I bought 2 international cards in Athens airport ( 45 euro each card total rip-off) they didn't tell me anything about the activating bundles when i travel around Europe, they only offer 9G data outside of Greece as opposed to unlimited data being boosted all over their kiosks, only when you travel and your data is gone you realise that SCAM. They are thieves!! i couldn't download the app to do payments for top-ups and monitor my data etc.. as i'm not Greek citizen. Everytime i went online to get a service/ explanation/ clarifications etc...it was a nightmare! terrible customer service, not even trained in English for customers who are using INTERNATIONAL sim card. What a joke! do yourself a favour do a thorough research before you buy a suitable card. Thanks

P.S i just spoke to a lovely representative of Vodafone in proper english who was very helpful and made sure to give me her direct email so i can manage my both cards via her.

Avoid Vodafone traps

After using Vodafone since 1996 my family changed to another much better and cheaper provider. Vodafone are the most expensive provider and extremely inflexible. My daughter's contract ends in 16 months time. She is moving to another country and it seems is unable to transfer her contract to the new country's Vodafone provider. This means she either has to cancel her contract at great expense or continue with a contract she's unable to make use of - scandalous!!

Worst company ever.I use Internet all…

Worst company ever.I use Internet all over Europe but in Greece is a huge problem. Customer service is terrible, unprofessionals. I did an contract with Vodafone and the main cable was installed 100 meters away from my house. The answer from Vodafone was I have to pay the rest, cable and the electrician to install the cable. Then a technician will come to do the rest. As this was going over 3 months then the bills were sent to me to pay without a service. Arguing with them and waiting over 30 minutes on the phone, one says speak with the OTE. The OTE is Vodafone problem to solve it. So this problem is going on and on since December 2022 today we are 27 April 2023.Scam company, rubbish, avoid this company‼️ otherwise once they have you in very difficult to get out.

I would put a negative vote if there…

I would put a negative vote if there was one. The worst company to choose for a contract.
After our contract was over, we went to a local store and asked to check if there was any unpaid bills to short out. They assured us we had paid everything and that there was 0 debt. We changed phone company and went to another and the registration of the change was at 20th April for mobile and 27th for home line. Some months later, Vodafone sent a letter claiming that we owed the last three months and that we renewed our contract at the 28th of April and broke it by going to a different company at the 4th of May. Not only do they contradict their claims but the dates make no sense. How do they claim a contract renewal after clear and persistent refusal on our behalf and without having any signatures?
I wonder what the "guarantee" people pay upfront is for.
As there are two ways to deal with such issues, either succumb to a company bully or take legal action, we have addressed a lawyer for this matter.
IF you are or will be a client in this company, make a detailed archive of your payments are record your digital, in person or over the phone communication with them. When you decide to change companies, prepare for trouble ...

Daily internet connection issues (2021-2023)

Without exception, there are daily internet connection problems with no signs of improvement. Though they have been informed of this issue repeatedly, no remedy is on offer. At the very least, they should reduce the price of the internet connection seeing that I am not receiving what is agreed upon in the subscription.

This goes way back to 2016

This goes way back to 2016. But I love a good pitchfork poise so here we go!

Wanted to move with my wife to Zakynthos from Athens, specifically Aigaleo where we where staying. I loved the vodafone home program I had! I even actively tried to convince my friends and family to move to them form any other company they where!
Soooo, because we wanted to move to Zakynthos we wanted to KEEP the Vodafone contract we had. So I went on February 2016, time that we already made plans to move, to the shop of Vodafone at Iera Odos street at Aigaleo and told them how satisfied I was from their product and that I would like to transfer the current contract to Zakynthos WITH vodafone home and the internet connection. And I asked them... SPECIFICALLY... Does Vodafone have internet coverage at the area I am staying? Because the place we where staying with the wife was about 10 minutes driving distance from the main city of Zakynthos. It happened to be around the end of the contract I have signed with Vodafone so I was not gonna keep a product that offered me no internet and no on demand or another equivalent TV product. The employee picked up the phone, called the Zakynthos store of Vodafone and the employee on the other side of the phone told him Yes! we do have coverage at the area I was going to move.

Fantastic right? So I went on and renewed the contract..... Judging from the review score I guess you can guess how that ended right?

Not only there was not internet coverage at the area I moved from Vodafone.
Not only the kept charging me for 3 months (!) after I left from Athens.
Not only they changed the 45 minute (!) phone call I made to cancel the new contact, because OBVIOUSLY I WAS FALSELY MADE TO RENEW A CONTACT OF 24 MONTHS WHERE I USED ONLY 2, to a "complaint" call.
Not only they charged me for the equipment that I called NUMEROUS TIMES to ask when to return it and how.
But they eventually called a law office and threatened me to sue me if I don't pay the 150.00 euros they wanted for a product I WAS MADE BY THEIR PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THAT WOULD WORK FINE!
Also keep in mind that I made countless calls that I charged my cell phone for to eventually pay 150.00 euros.

The fun part was that when eventually I moved from Vodafone to a competitive company for my cell phone contract (I had a separate contract for that) they had the audacity to call and ask me "BUT WHY" "Why would you want to leave Mr. H?!" They even went on and offered me a phone worth of 200.00 euros to stay at their clientele! Told them what I am writing to you now...

"I WAS A MASSIVE FUNBOY OF VODAFONE! I ADVERTISED YOU TO ANYONE I KNOW AND YOU MESSED UP FOR WHAT?! 150.00 EUROS?! YOU CHOSE 150.00 EUROS OVER A 60.00 EURO CONTRACT WHICH I WOULD HAVE GLADLY KEPT FOR LIFE?! AND YOU PUT ME THROUGH ALL THAT BECAUSE OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE?! NO NEVER AGAIN! YOU TURNED A FUNBOY INTO A HATER FOR EVER TILL THE DAY I DIE FOR 150.00 EUROS?

I see that at the recent years Vodafone is going from bad to worse. Can really see why...
