Dishonest company building houses that dont even stand up to 1985 housing standards, poorly built houses we are on at least 60 defects within the first year, we have subsided floors, door frames that dont touch floors, cold houses not compliant with the epc rating but vistry also pays for the epc rating and tells the epc assessor what to put.. I have an environmental Health report that shows the houses on the kirkleatham green development do not match the bedroom numbers and occupancy number data they sold the houses for 300 plus houses massively undersized compared to modern new build requirements and even 1985 standards. Do not buy any houses built by this company. They are in cahoots with home of England and many local councils shady very shady company
Everything The snags the workmanship the lack of care the rude emails when they decided to answer. They ruined the whole experience for us in our retirement. We wasn’t told that were rentals with Criminals renting opposite and they did nothing to help with the bullying that this person did to us. The whole experience has been ruined along with the lack of support from Vistry in all areas the parks and the front gardens are full of weeds.
I could go on …. Also they have allowed a tenant to put up a camera not even 15ft from our front door and kitchen window where he watches us 🤦♀️

One of the subsidiary from Vistry Group ,Countryside ,has delayed repair works for me and my neighbour for over a year
This is already the third time I have shared my concerns about Countryside here. Each time I post, someone from Countryside usually contacts me after a while. However, this is always followed by further delays, and no concrete solution is ever provided. I feel extremely frustrated and angry.
In April last year, I discovered that the surface of my parking space had cracked, which also caused the gravel board in my neighbour’s garden to tilt and crack. About a month later, the developer arranged for a contractor to carry out repairs and admitted that the issue was due to a design problem with the parking space. However, they only carried out a simple resurfacing and considered the matter resolved.
Afterwards, my neighbour and I repeatedly requested a proper and permanent solution. The developer promised to handle the issue appropriately, but now, a year later, there is still no clear plan.
Last month, senior management from Countryside customer service department met with us. The contractor, however, claimed they could not attend the meeting due to the distance, which I found very surprising. As the party responsible for the work, how could they not even come to inspect the site?
Countryside also stated that repair works would begin around mid-month of March and last approximately three weeks. However, up to now, no work has started, and we have not been contacted with any explanation or schedule. Despite my follow-up emails and phone calls, I have been unable to reach anyone responsible for a response.
Therefore, I am once again expressing my concerns here and will seek assistance from relevant government authorities, as this situation is extremely unfair to us homeowners.

Purchased my home back in October and the finish of house is awful. Ive have to sand and fill so many poorly finished areas on walls and ceilings. I moved in and had a leak from the upstairs bathroom. This took ages to repair the damage. I had my first weekend in my house with no water till someone could come and look at the leak. I had a blocked soil and nobody came from vistry till 5days later when i phoned the show home team as the smell of waste was creeping into my living room. The site manager did apoligise as vistry didnt report anything to him. Their repair jobs arent great. While repairing a dropped shed door they just cut it leaving a gap in the bottom of the door perfect for rodents to come straight in but apparently this is ok and Barry doesnt see a problem with the easy repair. I wish i picked up on more snags before purchasing the home and maybe then they would have been sorted before i moved in. Second Linden home ive purchased and i wish i didnt buy a second time as both homes have had leaks and snags they werent interested in repairing.
I am a sage property correct and i do report everything to them and often the feedback is the work wont be done or like the soil pipe im waiting for vistry to contact me. Sage contact me to ask if ive heard from vistry and i have to say no still not. This why i called the show home kn that case.
Sage sent me the response from Barry about the shed saying the work was fine(despite the gap in the bottom of the door).
All the paint and awful finishes i apparently had 72hours to report which i didnt read as who has time to look at that while sorting everything else out and working full time.
Im still waiting for the silicone to be soeted on the bath and shower and am yet to have a response from vistry which yes has been reported through sage. The bath i cant use till the silicone gets replaced as this is apparently where the leak came from!(despite never using that tap the whole month i had the keys, before moving in). Please do contact me i would love that as i understand sage arent interested in sorting these issues out and pushing you guys to repair what should be left to a better standard.

Vistry make Housing Associations wait because they don't have the manpower to complete snagging in a timely manner. Homes sit empty. Tenants cannot move in. Vistry need a specialist snagging team to enhance the Handover to Housing Associations. Until Vistry implement this, no excuses - absolutely nothing will change. Vistry's behaviour simply causes a domino effect - snagging not completed - Housing Associations do not accept Handover - tenants cannot move in. It's an utter disgrace, affecting people's well-being

I bought my home from Vistry at Abbey Farm in Swindon back in 2017. What has followed has been years of misrepresentation, non-completion, and a complete failure of accountability.
Having walked away from our unfinished development, Vistry (in consortium with Redrow) simply reapplied for planning permission to have the development accepted in its incomplete state. Residents were told the development was complete. It was not.
We were told key infrastructure (including vital infrastructure) had been signed off. It had not.
It is now confirmed that vital infrastructure, including flood attenuation and drainage, remains incomplete and requires remedial work.
Even more concerning is the way costs have been pushed onto residents through a managing agent, Gateway Property Management, in contravention of our transfer deeds and despite Vistry, Redrow and Gateway refusing / being unable to provide any evidence whatsoever of a lawful appointment.
Requests for proof of appointment have been refused and the circumstances of Gateway’s appointment have been concealed for years. Requests for contracts have been ignored. Yet invoices continue to be issued.
Vistry has consistently refused to meet residents, refused to provide evidence, and refused to correct the situation. Instead, residents have been forced into complaints, regulators, and court proceedings simply to establish basic facts that should never have been in dispute.
This is not a snagging issue. This is a failure to complete, a failure to be transparent, and a failure to take responsibility.
Vistry’s conduct throughout has been abhorrent. Do not ever buy a house from this company.
I would strongly advise prospective buyers to be very careful when purchasing from Vistry.
In my experience, they have not delivered on commitments that were made during the sales process. Customer service has been consistently slow and ineffective, with issues taking an excessive amount of time to address, if they are addressed at all.
Promises made were later diluted or avoided rather than honoured, which has been extremely frustrating and disappointing as a buyer.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that anyone considering a purchase ensures all assurances are documented in writing and is prepared for ongoing delays and poor communication.
Vistry have a public consultation interactive site on the forthcoming development at Hookwood, which apparently is for Vistry to get the public's open and honest feedback on the detailed design and an opportunity to help shape the design of the new neighbourhood in Hookwood.
Many people have left questions and comments on this interactive site about the development, all valid and without any impertinence. However, Vistry think it is ok to either not publish some of them in the first place or remove them from the interactive site entirely.
Vistry are therefore not being open and honest with the public's feedback.
They currently have a 1.3 star out of 5 star rating (that'equates to 94% of reviews being just 1 star) which by any standards is appalling, but not at all surprising when reading the reviews.
If you are thinking of in any way dealing with this company, whether that be buying a house or working for them, read all of the negatives feedback this company gets on trustpilot and you will get a sense of people's own views of Vistry for yourselves.

Jess Laird from Vistry customer service team, has done a superb service with our home defects. I understand homes are built by people and mistakes do happen. It's how it's put right and I must say 5 star service from Jess and Simon from the beginning. Always in touch to provide updates and always follow through and deliver results.
Thank you again for your support!!

Worked for them for 2 months booked one day off with plenty of notice for a doctors appointment due to a cancer scare. Then got a message saying not to come back to site despite never having any issues or problems on site management are just immoral & heartless.
My garden was never laid correctly and as a consequence became uneven very quickly. I battled for over two years for the company to rectify the problems. Landscapers were sent on several occasions. When they turned up they threw soil and grass seeds on the affected areas. It obviously made no difference. In the end I gave up and had my garden professionally landscaped last year. The company and their ability to resolve matters professionally and satisfactorily are very poor.

Vistry homes aftercare is a joke. Boiler problem. Wait in all day for an engineer (house is 12 months old) to be told engineer attempted to call. My house is covered in cctv and we have a ring door bell. Blatant lies.

Completely and utterly bloody useless
Waited 8 months after original build complete date for property to be finished. There were multiple delays due to poor quality work meaning work then had to be redone. Builders would give you false updates for example 'yes the work has been done' while I'm stood next to the work that hadn't been done. Customer service is awful, I made a formal complaint and never got a response even after multiple phone calls. The low review of the company speaks for itself, if you can avoid then I would.
They can't fit windows or electrics. Fixed fuses blown in kitchen. UPVC door and windows have dropped because they were not packed properly. They must be cheap because big companies still give them work so unsuspecting tenants will end up living in their bodged up houses.
