I booked an empty leg flight with FlyXO…

I booked an empty leg flight with FlyXO (XO) and they canceled it after confirming my reservation. Not only did they cancel, but they also misled me about the reason and now they are refusing to return my money.

This is unacceptable for a company that markets itself as a premium private aviation service. When you take payment for a flight, cancel it, and then delay or refuse refunds, that is not luxury service — it’s dishonesty.

I trusted XO with my booking and my money, but they failed to deliver on their promise and left me without the service I paid for. I strongly advise anyone considering XO to think twice before booking, especially for empty legs. There are other companies that honor their commitments and treat clients with respect.

Vista jet and XO jet deals. Do not waste your time or money.

Vista jet owns XO jet. Clearly. This company is in serious trouble. They advertise one way leg flights that they have almost never honored. Then they still take the deposit. Cancel the flight the day after. And refuse to refund money for two months! They are floating their own cash funds with unsuspecting deposits. Pls avoid this company.

Avoid these people

I used XOJet for a one-time charter in October 2021. A week ago (7/24) I get an email from VistaJet’s accounts team that based on an audit of XOJet (who they now own), I owe a few thousand dollars for fees through 10/2022. Fortunately, I could produce an email from XOJet that i did my charter as a one time event and that no monthly fees applied. Two reactions: 1. What organization sends you a request for payment nearly two years after you supposedly owe them money? Certainly not a well run one. 2. After hassling me for payment and me producing the proper documentation that I owed nothing, did they apologize for their error and wasting my time? Of course not. Avoid these people.

Incompetent Mangement, Badly Organised Company

Bad attitude towards their staff, on your first day when your manager says "That's what the company does is drop you in at the deep end" is not what you want to hear. Zero training, just told to get on with it. Inadequate storage of stock and a breach of H&S. Minimum staffing levels. A small company trying to be a global force and failing miserably.

No Moral Compass

My first ever experience booking a private plane was to fly me and my daughter home from Europe to the States. 4 days prior, to our flight, my daughter comes down with covid, after being vaccinated, after having covid previously. VistaJet was not willing to make any exceptions in their cancellation policy. I missed the 50% refund window by a few hours and they were only willing to give me 25% of my money back. They told me that I could still take the flight and leave my daughter in Europe to recover! Who says this!! Who recommends leaving a young adult child behind with covid, to enjoy a luxury flight by themselves. In my opinion, we always have the chance to do the right thing, be compassionate, make an exception to the rules. Not VistaJet, they have no moral compass and I would never recommend flying with them.

World's Worst Private Jet Experience

I flew for around 50 hours with VistaJet. Spent more than 500k usd. If the badge: World's Worst Private Jet company in the world existed - VistaJet would be a 100% winner of this badge. This is unsafe, unprofessional, unreliable airline company which is oversold and overbooked and treats it is customers like pigs.

Here are a real stories, which happened to me with them which show what kind of company VistaJet is:

1. Vistajet never give you a personal manager. Nobody from VistaJet feels responsible for you and don't care about the relationship. For example, on a flight to London I asked them to book me a car when I arrive - I arrived and there is no car. Then I need to call somebody and some stranger you never spoke to says oh we are sorry and etc. It is very easy to say sorry to somebody you never seen and never spoke. Next time you have a problem with VistaJet some other guy will call you and say that. And he will not be shy, as he is not going to call you again. VistaJet people just don't care.

2. I am writing this sitting in a small city in the middle of Europe. I booked a trip here in advance and then a trip to Moscow, where I wanted to meet a friend who I haven't seen a for a year. 1 hour before the flight they said they can't do that and we need to make a flight via a different route. The flight supposed to be today in the morning. Now it is evening and VistaJet called and said sorry the plane which we were supposed to give you flew away for another trip. So I am waiting like an idiot for the whole day here in this city and VistaJet keeps telling me all will be ок - and effectively there is no plane to fly on. And now it is night they say - sorry we cannot do this trip as all our fleet is very busy. Thus, I will not be able to see my friend and my friend wasted his time also.

VistaJet oversold their planes 10 times, thus all the planes are busy and they simply can't perform what they have subscribed for in their contracts. So 00:10 I need to search for a plane to get out of this small city to get to my schedule. I kept rescheduling my meetings all day long. Insane!

3. It is absolutely normal for VistaJet not to answer an email for 48 hours and forget about your flight requests - you need to remind VistaJet as you should do to a poor PA. It is absolutely normal for VistaJet to call and say - sorry - we can't fly - we need to delay the flight. The way it works is as follows. As they are short on the aircrafts they get a permit for one aircraft and last moment they change it for another aircraft - that is the source of all the delays as they don't know which aircraft you are going to fly effectively as there are too little planes for their amount of trips and you are pretty much like a last minute ticket buyer - maybe your flight will work and maybe it will not. Totally unreliable.

4. VistaJet are totally not save to fly on. On a flight from London when the plane was about to depart VistaJet realised their heating system was broken and if we flew we would have -50 celcius in the plane - that is what the captain said after they decided not to fly. I waited for a replacement for hours and VistaJet said they can't d it - as they have just 70 planes for gazillion of customers. Then after a few hours when I realised they can't do replacement I ordered a private flight from small concierge company, which was organised in 1-2 hours. VistaJet then remembered about me, called me and said sorry and then they promised to pay for the flight from my account to concierge company. VistaJet never did that. They lied to the concierge company and I need to pay them myself directly. That is not an issue at all. But why you call and lie to your customers and create them extra trouble? Why you behave like that?

5. On a flight from Barcelona 30 minutes before the flight they called me and said there is a problem with the wheels on the aircraft and VistaJet can't fly. The issue is that VistaJet flies too much and it looks like VistaJet has no time for proper maintenance of their fleet. Two technical problems for 15 flights I've done with them it is too much. Next time there maybe a problem which happens not on the ground - but in the air - then what? Stay safe - don't fly VistaJet.

Everything written above is my true experience. I am a real customer of Vistajet and I just hate them - they ruined several days of my life. Totally unreliable and unprofessional service. Pretty much one out of three flights has a problem.

Those are just part of the problems I had with them just in 3 months just using 50 hours.

For journalists: I am happy to provide you all the evidence of my experience with VistaJet. Please email me to: df93827 at gmail.com. I am a public person, thus, I am not using my main email - but I can give you my details if you contact me to confirm that everything written above is true. I will contact all journalists who wrote about VistaJet and provide comments
