SCAM CAUTION

SCAM CAUTION: we just rec’d a bill, that states after ins, we owe, $50. The Ins Co listed, is NOT correct. Our Ins Co, did not pay and advised us not to give ins info to VirtuOx, but contact our Medical provider.
Found this online:
Billing Issues: Numerous customer complaints on the Better Business Bureau cite billing problems, harassment over payments, and difficult customer service.
Legal History: Settled a $3.15 million lawsuit in 2022 for allegedly submitting false claims to Medicare.

WORST SLEEP STUDY AND COMPANY!

I did a sleep test in February and it was nothing more than a glorified Oximeter with wifi capabilities…not much of a sleep test in my opinion. I was advised by my doctor to NOT RETURN the test until the two nights and results were confirmed. After the first night I submitted the results and got a confirmation within an hour The second night took almost a week. As soon as I got that confirmation I received a phone call telling me I had to return the test or I would be charged for the unit. No lie…within minutes. So I called them and they said that it was an automated message….no, it wasn’t. The person stammered and Uhhhhhed the whole time. Machines do not do that.

I finally received a bill for $5 whole dollars for my copay. It was received April 4th and is due the 9th. You cannot pay it online as the portal doesn’t work. So I called and paid it via phone. I worked for an Indian company and spent significant amounts of time in India. I have zero issues understanding English when speaking with them…but this call center takes the cake! They mumble.

I’ll be monitoring my card closely after this…it was far too much information they were asking for to pay a bill. You do NOT need a DOB when you have the darned bill and account numbers.

1. If the test being returned is so urgent, don’t use USPS Ground Advantage shipping both ways.
2. Don’t threaten me with collections the minute you confirm results.
3. Give people thirty days to pay a bill once it is sent, not a few days given that it’s a weekend and mail takes time to get there.
4. Get real tests. I’ve already shared my experience with my doctor and they were appalled. Not by the test itself, but the treatment and actions. Yeah…NEVER AGAIN!

Why so much work just to pay a bill!

Why so much work just to pay a bill!?
Have been making payments. Can't do it online because they gave me a one time code that expires.
Try to pay by phone, have to wait forever. Half the time the people are very hard tk understand.
Today waiting on hold for 40 min, they picked up and hung up. I called back, new wait time 50 min.

Literally just make it so I can pay online!
Never will use this company again.

10 day turn due date from statement date

I received a statement dated on 12/12, received 12/20 and due 12/22. I could not pay online so had to call. 25 minutes on hold to only to be told I had to be transferred to payments. And another 20 minutes I’m still on hold. Check with your doctor, and if they use this company, find another doctor

AWFUL

AWFUL. Seems simple enough. Tape the little sensor to your left index finger and go to sleep. I've done this for 2 nights and both nights the sensor failed to record. This would be a great idea if it actually worked.

inaccurate test and horrible customer service

Virtuox advertises that their sleep owl mini is the world's smallest, most convenient, and most accurate home sleep apnea test. It reported that clinically significant sleep disordered breathing was not identified in my testing.
As it turns out, the at home sleep test my Neurologist ordered a couple months later showed I do have clinically significant sleep disordered breathing due to sleep apnea. I reached out to Virtuox to let them know their test gave inaccurate information and they charged me $250 for four pages of erroneous data. I asked for a refund and Teresa DiGiacomo from Virtuox responded and told me my test was completed successfully in their system and no refund would be issued. How can their test be the most accurate at home test if it failed to pick up that I have sleep apnea after two nights of testing when a different at home sleep test just a couple months later showed I have sleep apnea?
I paid $250 and their test not only gave me inaccurate information, it delayed my diagnosis by months and cost me thousands in additional medical bills and testing. I have insurance but they didn't bill Ambetter so I am out $250 on a test that clearly missed the only thing it was supposed to be looking for.
Inaccurate, untrustworthy test, and terrible customer service. Avoid Virtuox at all costs if you can.
