I placed an order with VWP and had to call to place on telephone due to an error online. Was dealt with by Rachael who solved the issue and took payment. I didn’t receive the gift boxes initially but Rachael sorted this and I had them next day. So overall excellent customer service and the product will hopefully please my twin niece and nephew when they are gifted their 30 year old port.

I ordered a bottle of port with a particular vintage as a special birthday present. I was sent the wrong vintage. Upon notifying the company I was promptly sent the correct vintage, but still it was annoying that I couldn't give the gift to the recipient on their actual birthday. I was asked to re-wrap the wrong bottle and state a date on which it could be collected. What really galled is that the apology for their mistake was given once but with no acknowledgement or apology for the inconvenience to me for their mistake. I had to go out and buy tape to wrap their parcel. There was at no time a goodwill gesture offered.

I bought a 2018 bottle of red wine for an anniversary gift. A bottle arrived on time but was a 2019 vintage, which made it a pretty meaningless anniversary present. I let them know and asked for a refund. They apologised and said they'd send a return label. I now have to repackage and take a trip to the post office in order to get a refund. Not awful service but definitely not good either. I would've hoped for some sort of goodwill gesture, discount code, contribution towards the inconvenience and ruined anniversary gift. Even an offer to source the right vintage would have been appreciated. Shame, I will not be a return customer.

I was gifted a bottle of Port Wine from this company over Christmas. It arrived well wrapped and included some nice tasting notes sealed with wax. The Port was excellent and was well received by the family.

It arrived quickly in a beautiful presentation box, packaged with care so that everything was protected, with the gift note and some information about the vintage year, making it a really special delivery. My first time ordering from this company. I was looking for a 70 year old Madeira wine for a good friend's special birthday.

They had an excellent example, from one of the island's very best houses.

Ordering was easy, the price was more than fair, and it was delivered the next morning, exactly as promised.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, or to highly recommend them.

I purchased a bottle of wine from this company for my partners birthday for £100. When we opened it the cork was rotten and the wine undrinkable, brown vinegar. The wine was stored in a box I purchased from the company and kept in a dark, cool place on its side but vintage wine and port refused to provide a refund for a bottle of wine that is not fit for purpose and has to be poured down the sink. Their excuse copied from their response - “ I regret we are unable to offer a refund on a bottle that has been out of our care for over a year. Older wines are particularly delicate and, whilst they are stored in perfect cellaring conditions at VWP, they will degrade if not kept optimally and we cannot accept an indefinite liability for their development.” Wine cannot degrade so badly 1 year after purchase - my advice is to stay away from this company.

Hello all. This is an update to my earlier review. What a marvelous bit of drinking fun it was to share this wonderful, 1945, Vintage, Ferreria, port with my friends last week!

I sipped this spirit at decanting, 2 hours after decant, and 4 hours after that. By the end, it was like drinking a cloud! Light, airy, wonderful.

Hi, I bought a 1945 vintage Ferreria port from these guys. I just received it here in Golden, CO, USA. I have telexed them for info on how to decant and enjoy this beautiful $1000 USD bottle with 2 close friends. I have an open mind. The bottle arrived safe and well packed. I am somewhat nervous as to HOW to open, decant, and enjoy the bottle and am eagerly awaiting guidance. This vintage was PROMINENTLY featured in the USA Columbo detective series in and episode entitled "Any Old Port in a Storm" which aired Oct 7, 1973. THIS bottle was THE key to Columbo apprehending the murderer.! I viewed that episode as an 8-year-old boy and, even then, mentally said to myself, someday, I am going to buy a bottle of this and drink it!

Wine received beautifully packaged but had the wrong gift card enclosed intended for somebody we didn’t know !! Luckily I spotted it before it reached the recipient and I contacted Customer Service …but sadly they did not respond back …so this is why I’m leaving this review. Disappointed with that and I won’t be ordering again . Let’s hope the wine is good ….

I’ve ordered from this company several times and I’ve never had any issues at all. However, my last order ran into a technical issue (not their fault). My support email (sent at 8pm) was answered within 15 mins by the MD, sorting the issue.

In my experience an almost unheard of level of customer service these days.

Excellent customer service and support! I ordered a 60 year old Armagnac for delivery to the US but was advised by Customer services that they were not able to ship spirits. They suggested a 1962 White Port as an alternative- I knew nothing about this type of port so they explained how it was made, how it should taste and how it should be served. This was delivered within a week even allowing for a US customs hold up. The port was impressive and well received - great recommendation.
