I sent my Sea-dweller to Vintage winders for repair and service in July '23. The work was carried out and it was returned and worked for just under 18 months when the automatic mechanism failed. Because of the shorter warranty period I then had to pay for more work and it was returned in March this year. It was not working when I opened the package (required constant manual winding) and hasn't worked properly since then. I have emailed and rung Leon numerous times asking for the warranty to be honoured but with no effect. I have now given up and taken the watch to another repairer.

Previous experience has been good but..this time not and it seems Vintage Winders is having problems. They had my Rolex, which kept stopping, in for repair for over three months but returned it unrepaired.
It arrived at Vintage Winders March 28. After unsuccessful attempts to get Leon on the phone to find out what was happening, on May 16th I was informed by email of worn parts that needed replacing and I gave the go ahead. On June 23 He said the parts had arrived but he was snowed under and couldn't do the repair. The main problem was that it took many ignored messages and phone calls going to answerphone to wring out any information which was stressful.
My watch eventually arrived back today July 3 in the same condition as it left - only in a cheap plastic box rather than the presentation box I had sent it .
Anyway I see from previous reviews, including mine this is untypical, but I can only report my last experience

Very pleased with the service I received . Leon managed to source a very rare new old stock part to fix my vintage Rolex . Can’t thank them enough as the watch had huge sentimental value . Come highly recommended .

Really pleased with service and repair to winding mechanism carried out. Work completed within timeline and emails sent on progress. Would recommend.

I sent Leon my vintage silver Rolex for service and a new plexiglass crystal. Excellent communication. Very reasonable quote and the work was completed within the estimate timescale. Thoroughly recommended. My 100 year old Rolex is ticking away nicely and keeping excellent time following Leons' work

I had my Rolex serviced last December with this company. They had it for approx 6.5 weeks. When I got it back it worked well for just over 2 weeks and then the old problem began again. I contacted Leon but was told that I needed to have my watch on a self winding over night. Not the case according to Rolex. I put up with the problems but after a few emails backwards and forwards I posted my watch back. It was obvious Leon did not want to look at the watch again. It was still under guarantee. Although in the last 12 months my watch has been with Vintage Winders for 4 of the 12 month period.
After 7 weeks I came back from holiday to find my gold Rolex in a box outside my front door. No correspondence from Leon at all. I will definitely not use or recommend this company to anyone. I treasure my watch and expect better from a company professing to be professional..

I was not informed how long a service would take. After 5 weeks I emailed Leon as I had heard nothing and this was his reply "It’s in the queue, I’ll let you know as soon as we’ve inspected it."
I was advised that once it had been repaired it was subject to a "4 day test"
not 2 weeks as stated in the reply
Why I wasn't contacted to tell me my watch was ready still hasn't been addressed. I could have told them not to post the watch as I was on holiday. I did get an email from Royal Mail which I was unable to open as I wasn't in the U. K.
As I have also explained to Leon on many occasions I wear my watch everyday and for more than 10 hours.
The bottom line is the watch was returned last year when it hadn't been tested thoroughly and not properly fixed.
Poor experience

I had been looking for a vintage Rolex from the year 1946,when l came across the Vintage Winders website. Everything that I read reassured me that this was a company to be trusted,and I have not been disappointed.
Not only did they have a watch from 1946,but it was just what I wanted in terms of appearance and excellent condition.
As with other reviewers I found Leon a pleasure to speak with ,very patient in giving me advice and overall very friendly and helpful. A first class experience and can certainly recommend Vintage Winders.

Leon was very helpful - before, during and after the watch services and repairs. They were a vintage Rolex Oysterdate and a Certina DS-2. He and his team really know their stuff and do a beautiful job. They are also the least expensive watch service that I have come across, using proper parts (eg the Rolex crystal with the date bubble, etc). You can tell that they are craftsmen with a love of horological quality. A friend put me onto them, and I was not disappointed. They were also quicker than Omega, Swiss Time Services etc, another bonus!

I came across vintagewinders after searching extensively for a reputable company that specialises in Rolex watch servicing and repairs, most importantly the company had excellent reviews. I’m so grateful to have contacted Leon who is very courteous and friendly, with his expertise and extensive knowledge in the field of Rolex my old rolex watches were revived and returned back to me in stunning showroom condition with a years warranty, a fantastic service.

I purchased my Rolex 1978 vintage date just 11 months ago from Leon and have to say it’s accuracy is remarkable I’ve found the sweet spot for this watch.
So I wish to thank Leon again for this gems performance over the last 72 hours this watch averaged -2.33 seconds a day, so at 8:00am I place my watch on my watch winder for 5 and a half hours then I wear my watch for 6 hours after this I store my watch face down in its box until the morning and repeat.

Searched for some time to find someone who could assist repair of my grandfather’s old watch and Leon was thankfully able to help. The watch came back much better than I expected and was well worth the wait.

My first contact with Leon provided me with assurance that the work needed to mend my watch would be carried out to a high standard; he talked me through the steps that would carried out throughout the servicing procedures.
An extremely knowledgable and friendly gentleman.
I was contacted by Leon upon receipt of my watch, he discussed the work that needed to be done and gave a quote.
The work was carried out in a timely manner and watch looked lovely upon its return. I could not fault the service i was given and would not hesitate to recommend Leon's services and attention to detail.

I had my Rolex serviced with Leon at Vintage Winders, this was the second time I used their service team, having been given a recommendation from a neighbour and friend of mine. The first occasion was to replace the mineral glass of which I had broke, the second was a full service, the watch was returned looking like new; my strap was heavily scratched before, now it's keeping better time than before. I am delighted.

Originally recommended to me by a friend I contacted Leon about a service on a watch that I wanted to give to my son.

Fantastic service throughout the process. Leon took in my 1990 Rolex and gave it a full service and replaced the glass. It came back looking amazing and I was kept fully informed about the progress of the work as it went. Leon also recommended a specialist strap refurbishment too so that was arranged separately.

I would thoroughly recommend Leon to anyone and will be using Vintage Winders again to service other watches.

I have sent watches or parts to Vintage Watches 3 times and all occasions the service and result have been exemplary.
Even when parts may be hard to come by, Leon seems to be able to locate them and also has great contacts in the industry who do really specialist work.

Leon and the Company are most knowledgeable about vintage Rolex watches, which is why I had the faith to entrust the service of two of my watches to them. Both watches came back working "like clockwork" and with an excellent turnaround. I will be using Vintage Winders again for any servicing needs in the future and will (and have) recommend them to all my friends needing servicing of their watches also.

I had my beautiful vintage Tudor Rolex watch serviced by Vintage Winders and I was very pleased with the service they provided. The cost was affordable and the team were incredibly knowledgeable.
