Uniconverter Wondershare is the scam. They have an option that you pay one time and UniConverter is forever yours. But they never tell you that if you renew the version of your app you are LOSING your subscription and without any notice they start to take monthly subscription. And when you ask them - what version should I install so my one-time purchase will work again and the bot answers - oh it is written in your account but its not even mentioned anywhere. And here you are robbed by Wondershare for almost a year while you had paid for LIFETIME subscription. No human support and no refund.

This vendor set up an account with my email and signed me up for automatic annual renewal. When the time for renewal came, they sent me their advance notice at a different email, and I was neither able to reply to their notice, nor figure out why I was not able to cancel. By the time I did, I had been charged the renewal fee, and they refused to acknowledge that they had sent their notice to the wrong address. Their product is good, but as a customer, I feel I have been treated abusively.

Wondershare just asked to contact support and provide order #, as well as email listed in my account. I did, but I will be amazed if they do anything. For the time being, I see no reason to change my review.

Wondershare's UniConverter version 17, is an online product, if you untether the product, by logging out of your Wondershare account, the product will only function as a trial version. If you don't like your activities being monitored, then this is probably not the product for you. If you're expecting a product that has good support service, then again this is probably not the product for you. I'll be blogging my support experience within the week. I can say that today I logged in at 9:14 am, and completed the support chat at 14:11 pm (five hours) without any satisfaction. And if you don't like repeating yourself over and over and over, and then over some more, when talking to support, then again Wondershare products are probably not the products for you. I highly recommend 4K Video Downloader, as a great alternative to Wondershare UniConverter, It works as fully functional without having to stay logged in to 4K Account. Speedwise, It far superior to UniConverter. If you wondering. I've been a loyal user of Wondershare products for about a decade. I didn't want to change, they forced the change. They've refused a refund and refused to exchange it to and earlier version that does not require to be tethered to be fully functional.

In response to my original review, which I emailed a copy to wondershare at the time, wondershare responded within the review by offering a refund, but in fact then in an email exchange refused the refund. I informed them that I no longer cared about the refund, and I no longer cared about them offering a lesser product (early version) etc
Either way, I'm not interested. I've moved on to 4K download, and I love it, I love the speed, and I love the fact that I do not have to be logged in (tethered) to an account so that I can use it's full features.
Wondershare, like Adobe Photoshop want your creative work produced while you are tethered (logged in) online to their accounts.
Many feel as I do, we don't want our creative activities monitored (especially if we have purchased a full perpetual license) by those organisations.
It's their choice to use those models., and it's our choice to reject them. I spent a lot of effort looking for substitutes.. for wondershare uniconverter, I have substituted it with a perpetual 4k Downloader licence, I love it. For Photoshop, I substituted it with a perpetual "Apple Pixelmator" licence. I would rather walk away without the refund and be totally happy with my choices, which by the way have very low learning curves if you're familiar with the products I've abandoned. My message to wondershare, keep your money. I don't need the aggravation of having to communicate with you again.. after fighting you for 7 months, I'm now in a very productive "Happy Place".

I've recently worked with Shena via email support for an issue with my Wondershare Uniconverter software, and she did a great job to help me resolve my problem.
I have worked in various Technology Support positions for over 25 years, and although it's quite rare to receive good customer service these days, Shena was extremely helpful, with a great attitude towards resolving the issue to completion. Wondershare is very lucky to have her on their team!

The software failed to convert my video. I requested a refund within the time frame and was promised that my refund would be in my bank within 7 to 15 days but I have not received it. I have contacted Wondershare with no success. I tried converting a video from .mkv to .mp4, after 4 hours nothing had happened. I contacted you to ask for a refund because I was unhappy with the software, and was told that I would receive a refund within 7 to 15 days but that has not happened. I have contacted my bank to stop any further payments being taken by you. I have uninstalled uniconverter completely. I am now using a 'free' software called Prism, it works perfectly. When I go into my account with you to try and resolve this issue, I am constantly shown a button to 'upgrade' I am not prepared to pay more money.

I had an issue with UniConverter that couldn't be solved with the usual troubleshooting steps. The Wondershare support team scheduled a remote session, carefully investigated the problem, and spent over an hour identifying and fixing it. They were patient, professional, and made sure everything was working before closing the case. I'm very satisfied with the support I received. Thank you!

Much appreciated refunding of accidental/unintentional monthly renewal order.

Wondershare have stated that they will process a full refund for the undesired monthly renewal order and review how this offer is presented and improve the user experience.

Beware of Hidden/Surreptitious monthly payments.

We upgraded to version 17 of UniConverter for the anticipated price, 7 days later we are hit with a recurring monthly payment of $30.79AUD for a side product (UniConverter 500 AI Credits Monthly Plan for Mac) that we did not want, and being in our 70s had NO idea what it was. We did peruse the website unsuccessfully trying to find any sort of functional description.
Apparently there was a 7-day free trial of this apparently unrelated and ill-described product and then these monthly payments ensue. Not knowing what this unrelated product was and that it incurred an (excessive) monthly fee, we would have disabled it when we first saw it, however the check-box must be explicitly enabled by default on a page refresh and been automatically re-enabled when we were navigating between pages reviewing the product we were intending to upgrade (ie. UniConverter 17).

I had a software problem with Wondershare Uniconverter 15. I contact Wondershare by e-mail. After several e-mails the problem was solved. Their service and patience was really great. I can recommend Wondershare!

I upgraded from 15 to 17 on a Mac. My converted files freeze or jitter within the first few minutes. I contacted Customer Support, Shena, and uploaded the original, converted files, log and a screenshot of the settings. After a week I've received no response. My request for a refund was rejected. Trying to upload a file to confirm a refund request is almost impossible. This company does not want to refund customers.

Well... nothing like trying a product out with a trial and it telling you you've already used the trial when you've just downloaded it! LOL... DOES THAT WORK? Apparently so! They're still here. But in my case, they're axed. I just hope I don't have any adware or mystery ailment show up that they'll have the only cure for! Quit being shady, guys! Make a longer trial... if there's a GLITCH in the trial, and that's literally the most important incentive you have towards people purchasing it, then how many glitches should we expect from there? And support? Who knows... I looked for about five minutes and came here. That's how it works! Do better!

Should you have any issues with the software Uniconverter as I did within 10 minutes after downloading and installing it, they will refuse to refund you.

I have been in the media business for over 25 years and never came across a company like this.

Check the terms and conditions before downloading this software especially if your from EU/UK/USA. This company do not follow consumer rights outside China, even though they say they do in their Terms and conditions.

I realised the software Uniconverter could not do what I needed it to do as advertised on their website after installing it and requested a full refund.

They will fight you all the way even after you prove to them by sending screen shots and video captures from their own website showing the software doing a process it actually can not do once downloaded and installed.

Their customer service is appalling, they just send you on a merry go round with trash talk hoping you go away, while treating you like a fool totally avoiding my false advertisement claims.

I have warned my business partners throughout the UK plus family and friends to not use Wondershare Filmora Or Uniconverter due to security concerns while expressing the treatment I went through' I told them to seek alterative trusted brands, closer to home who do stand by consumer right and who follow data protection laws.

As a rule Do not use PayPal or Debit Card, use a "CREDIT CARD" and request a "Chargeback" Immediately should you have any issues.

The program is very comprehensive and professional. The management is transparent and of high quality. Thank you

Not cheap to be honest, but I'm very impressed with the quality of the product, the video compression is top notch allowing me to quickly convert videos to any format I need

I am having a problem trying to get the up graded link to uniconverter to download. I have been trying for 6 days. I contacted their customer so called SUPPORT, I could not speak to an agent. I could only do it through texting. The texting I received was overwhelming with computer technical advice, none of which worked. Plus none I would try because I just don't have the computer technical skills. Now I am going to have to pay someone at the Geek Squad to help me. The leadership in this company really needs to spend time in the field to see where their lack of support exist.

Very user friendly and simple to use, it helped me so much that I recommend it to everyone

lately, i have been trying to download youtube videos at 1080p, but it keeps forcing 360p downloads. it's frustrating. it does this to certain videos, not all. it's odd. wondershare's support is all a.i. generated, both phone and text. i can't get ahold of any representative to solve this crap. please make downloads to 1080p again, so who ever is going to respond to this, forward this issue to the right people at the company, otherwise i will have to take my business elsewhere. please.
