Never use via

Never use via. Com. There are many other good portal. I selected two front seats in a sleeper coach of Raj express jyoti and booked thru via. Com for night . But, I got last two seats, which were very uncomfortable to me n my wife. Product shown different and delivered different.

I m not satisfied and I will drop a complain in consumer court once I come back. None can skip from the Indian Laws and from doing fraud

Risky but got my tickets

Giving 5 stars just because all the other ratings are bad. Firstly, by getting a good deal through a travel agent, one takes the risk of exorbitant fees for changes or any discrepancies. Therefore, always double-check your entries first before you book.

I took the risk and booked my flight from SIN-IST, the process was not smooth as the e-ticket took nearly 2 hours to process. After getting the e-ticket it is paramount to check with the airlines that your ticket is confirmed. I waited anxiously for the airlines (Oman Air) to confirm my ticket. To my surprise I wasn't scammed, the flight was confirmed and they had my details. Only after that, I was able to rest easy, other than that I hope everything goes well.

STAY AWAY...

STAY AWAY...
I lost 24 hrs, and needed to buy another ticket from the airline, to fly out the next day. I had a problem with the ticket, because I skipped a domestic flight, which was with another airline, when I got to check in, they told me I need to fix this with VIA, as they are the agent that issued the ticket. As they have no phone number to call. had to to wait for the email to reply. after they said they are working on fixing my ticket, and at the end when the gate is closed, they told me they can't do it in time, (there was like 1.5 hrs before take off) and needed to pay 800 USD to change my ticket, which was worth 500 USD new from the airline. if they could have told me they can't do it, I could have at least bought a new ticket and caught my original flight... They operate out of india, I had difficulty understanding the staff and speaking to ground airine staff (cathay Pacific), it was a problem that should have been fixable quite easily.

Do not ever ever book tickets with VIA.COM

Do not ever ever book tickets with Via.com. I booked tickets with them once and it was the most stresful and unpleasant experience. The payment went thru but they didnt issue us our flight tickets. I then tried to call their offices but all number were not in use. We even tried calling the SG, Indo and India office but no support or help was provided.

I would highly recommended not using VIA.com as their team is unresponsive and very unreliable

Via.com bottom fishes for one time clients they get from skyscanner.

Via.com gets their business as a pass-through from skyscanner as they come up often as cheapest. But after the booking process is finished they are more expensive than the big reliable ones (Expedia, Trip.com etc etc). Completely worthless site that bottom fishes for one time clients. Don't think anyone will ever use them twice. Customer service does not exist. Buyer beware.....looks cheap but is not; just stay with the "Biggies".

Nothing but awful

If I could give this zero stars I would. Their customer service is non existent and it has been an incredibly awful experience trying to get a refund for a cancelled flight. There is no way to reach them because they do not respond to emails at all. There is also no legitimate contact number for you to call them so if they choose to ignore your emails you will be left hanging. When you try to change or cancel your flight you will find various unexplainable charges so you get back only a fraction of what you are supposed to get. They behave like scammers. They did not respond at all to any of my emails until I contacted Skyscanner. It was only after Skyscanner reached out to them that I got a reply. Even then, it didn’t last very long and after a couple of emails their responses became irregular and suddenly they just stopped and I cannot contact them at all. Would not recommend to anyone at all. Save yourself all this grief and unhappiness by using other travel agents.

Stay away! Save your lifetime and money!

Usually I book at the airline directly. However, my girlfriend convinced me use VIA as they offered a flight specific combination with international and domestic flights on Skyscanner. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER:

1. They informed me one day before my first domestic flight that none of my three domestic flights take place at the time I booked. They were much earlier causing us to get up like 3AM/4AM.

2. Important part is that I booked via Skyscanner. By forwarding me to their website they didn't give me ANY information on luggage and I haven't had any a choice to select. I only saw that the airline I booked it is included. What I missed is that the airline changed the policy two months before and there was NOTHING included.

3. Standing at the local airport they asked me to pay a ridiculous amount of money for my baggage! Don't forget: I stood there early in the morning because none of my booked flights took place. I had to repack, throw away and wear several layers of cloths and still paid more then booking these flight SEPARATELY INCLUDING LUGGAGE.

4. DON'T TRUST THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They confirmed to understand my situation that I was not informed about the luggage restrictions during booking process. While I asked them if I can book luggage in advance to avoid extraordinary fees, THEY offered me a refund and THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ASKED ME TO PAY AT THE AIRPORT IN ADVANCE. Luckily I found a local person with competence who told me where to find the airline's customer service and booked there (the airline told me as well that the agent refunds this usually). I was in contact with the customer service for the whole time and after clarifying how much they offered me for refund, they turned around and said that this was outlined in a cryptic way somewhere on my bill - what was totally not the point from the beginning. Now they don't reply to my emails anymore. Strange that they turned around when they were about to pay.

5. Learning: If you ever consider booking via agent, DON'T USE THIS ONE. Save your money and lifetime. You will pay 3 - 4 times more if you book with VIA.

DO NOT USE Via.com!

DO NOT USE Via.com! Two weeks ago I tried to book ticket via this website and it took one hour processing the ticket only to finally said "no ticket is available".

My credit card was subsequently charged for the ticket I didn't get. When I asked to process the refund, I need to send multiple emails over the 2-weeks span to ask for refund. Today is the 16th day since I made the purchase, and my refund hasn't come.

This website makes money out of the false transaction. It cheats on customers. AVOID Via.com at all cost!

Stupid people who have no idea…

Stupid people who have no idea absolutely what they're doing
Bookd a ticket from Dubai to Mumbai via Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, and they did not give me enough connecting time for me to make the connection at Abu Dhabi airport
I have bought this to their notice two days prior to my flight
I was to reach Abu Dhabi at 1 hour and 10 minutes prior to the flight departure whereas the check in Counter was to close one hour and 15 minutes prior to the check in time.
Booking done on via.com and payment also made to via.com

Stupid guys first did not understand what was happening once they did and understood that it was entirely their fault they actually wrote an email to me stating that there were multiple other options available and I should have chosen them! They also try to pull one of on me by stating that my booking should have been from Abu Dhabi and not from Dubai - this is when I had a confirmed reservation from Dubai in hand ticketed from Via.com.
They also wrote that since I seem to be aware of how travel regulations work I would be charged for making any change.

Audacious and foolish with no customer service number in the UAE and absolutely pathetic staff, please never ever book through this website

Attaching some excerpts of our email exchange below:

Dear team

Thank you for the response

As evident from your email below you are either neglecting to perform your duty or are absolutely unaware of how international ticketing works

Point 1 as my booking is through a travel agent it is the responsibility of the travel agency to confirm the itinerary and ensure valid connecting times are provided

Point 2 As my ticket is issued by via. Com air Seychelles will not entertain any queries in this regard

Please note that I have also called air Seychelles as per your earlier suggestion and they have clearly mentioned that I need to speak to via.com only

Point 3 My ticket is booked from Dubai to Mumbai via Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, I have not booked a ticket from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai which you may please note
You may be providing hundreds of options from thousands of locations which do not matter to me, as I have booked from Dubai to Mumbai as clearly stated in my ticket.

Point 4 please reply if you are willing to confirm that the connecting times as provided by your portal via.com are correctly shown and also ticketed, as you have mentioned in your earlier email that they are as per IATA standards.
Please note this is a crucial point for me in my consumer complaint that I will be filing with the relevant authorities.

Point 5 when the airline ticketing or check in Counter closes 1 hour 15 minutes prior to departure and I reach the Terminal 1 hour 10 minutes prior to departure how will the airline accommodate me?
please note that the airline also has to check me in along with my baggage and issue the boarding pass at Abu Dhabi

Point six :Nowhere on your ticket is it mentioned that my check in is in Abu Dhabi and not in Dubai
In fact If you were aware that the check in is in Abu Dhabi then how did you issue a ticket which drops me in Abu Dhabi 1 hour 10 minutes prior to departure when the check-in counter for air Seychelles will already be closed 1 hour 15 minutes prior to departure?

Point 7 air Seychelles has clearly stated that via. Com has issued the ticket and it is their responsibility to ensure that this change is made

I have only booked the recommended itinerary as officially shown on your website and it has also been confirmed and ticketed by via. Com, payment has also been accepted by via. Com and not Seychelles air.

if there are any challenges that you may have with the airline you can take it up with them however you need to ensure that my consumer rights are protected and that my journey is not impacted owing to your negligence

Would appreciate a pointwise reply which would help me in my customer complaint

Please note you cannot shrug off your responsibility in this case where in you have clearly induced me to book by suggesting, displaying, providing and even ticketing an itinerary which you are now saying is invalid

Regards

Greetings from Via!

Futher to your request, Options are given by IATA standards only, You have selected the itinerary which is legally given by airlines, Before making the payment you should have checked the itinerary, you have selected Abudhabi as a point of departure where as our portal gives dubai and sharjah option as well, It seems you were well aware of what you were selecting, the only option is to reissue with applicable charges as your E ticket is non voidable and non refundable, Please advise the new travel date.

You can reach us at suppovim for any further assistance and support

Thank you for choosing Via.com as your preferred travel website.

Dear team

Please note that as a travel agent it is your duty and responsibility to ensure sufficient connecting times in any itinerary provided and ticketed by you.

This is as per general IATA and other Consumer Protection standards globally.

As travel agents you are liable for any compensation in case of unreasonable or wrong ticketing done from your end in case of an itinerary suggested on your portal.

Also as per all fair practices you cannot provide an itinerary without a logical connecting timeline.

Please ensure that you rectify this at the earliest else I will be compelled to approach the relevant authorities with a complaint in this regard.

I reiterate and state that this error is solely from your end, as a consumer if I am provided with an itinerary, it is the responsibility of the travel agent to ensure that it is a feasible itinerary.

Even if there are other options provided, this option which I have selected was also provided, so that means that it has to be a valid and acceptable option with valid connecting times.

Your organisation as a travel agency is an interface and intermediary between me and the airline and is also liable and answerable for any wrong ticketing done.
There is no question of charging me for any wrongful and illegal itinerary as ticketed by you.

Please consider this email as a legal notice, in case this rectification is not done I will be lodging a complaint with Dubai, Indian and other relevant Consumer Protection authorities.

Thanks

Really bad customer service

Really bad customer service. I emailed them to ask about changing my flight, then I received a call from a customer representative named Mr Srivastha., that I could barely understand, who said he would send me an email with the information regarding changing my flight.

When I got the email, it said that he went ahead and cancelled my booking and that I now had to pay a fee!!

Completely unprofessional and would not book again.

A Big NO!

Via.com gave me an extremely pathetic experience. Please DO NOT use via.com.

I had booked my International flight once and did not receive the itinerary. When I called the customer care which I was able to connect after difficulties, I encountered a very arrogant person the phone. He replied: "There is a problem which you won't understand because you are not in this business."

I wasn't even told about the problem. With many difficulties I got my confirmation.

Overbooked flight, delayed refund!!!

One of the most horrid experiences booking a flight from Abu Dhabi, UAE to Jeddah, KSA.
Made the booking online and received an e-mail confirming tickets will be held for 6 hrs.
Paid in cash through one of their outlets at Al Ansari Exchange.
Within half an hour of them receiving payment, I received an e-mail that the booking was cancelled.

I tried to contact them but they had no UAE phone number so I sent them an e-mail.
I received an e-mail that my flight was fully booked, and holding my ticket means nothing apparently.

I called their customer service in India multxiple times and they clearly do not care about their customers.
Never called back, rude, refer you to someone else who does not answer.

When replying to your e-mail would give least amount of information and does not answer questions
or complete your request for my refund which I paid in cash not an hour ago.

If you want to waste 4 hours of your life in anger and despair running after your own money for no use
this is the service to use.

Cheating Website

I am gonna put this review because of the following reasons.
1. Rude customer service
2. Cheating cancellation policy
Had booked a flight with them, for changing the dates, they have asked me exactly same amount of money i have used for booking.
For cancelling the same ticket, they have told they will take all the amount which i have made for booking. But all they advertise is Free cancellation.

Cheating people.
