Ver Vanlines was in an accident when…
Ver Vanlines was in an accident when they moved me. There was a fire and it was a total loss of everything we owned. Two other family's things were on that truck as well. They hired an under-age driver from Morocco, therefore, their insurance refuses to cover. Thankfully, my renter's insurance stepped up, but it was only part of what I needed to replace our lifetime of goods. Now, VER Vanlines has closed shop under the old name and started a new company to keep from being sued. It won't work. They still owe me over $50K and we won't stop until they are held fully accountable. The owners are extremely dishonest people and we were lied to several times during the moving process. I'll keep posting to keep everyone informed of all the information my attorney uncovers, so you won't get defrauded like we did.
This was the worst experience in my…
This was the worst experience in my life. How they’re still in business is beyond me. All of my furniture was ripped tables scratches, dense and glassware broken by the time it got to my new location across country which took three months. I called several times and no one would ever answer and when I did get a hold of somebody, nobody could tell me anything just excuses truck broke down. Totally dishonest and untrustworthy. Do yourself a favor and do your due diligence and hire a reputable company. I wish I could meet these people in person. To show them the respect that they showed for my things
It was picked up in Apache Junction AZ …
It was picked up in Apache Junction AZ on Sept. 29th2025 and was supposed to be delivered to Maine. When the truck was loaded and they drove off that was the last I have seen or heard about my delivery. The 2 men that showed up to pack and load were not professional packers, I was horrified at their packing and when I tried to give instructions they did not understand English.
As of Dec. 26,2025 I do not have my very personal belongings, nor do I know where they are or even if it is still in tack to be delivered. This situation is weighting on my mental health as I am 62 years old and what is on that truck is my whole life and my home that I wanted to retire with.
Please respond and make something happen here. They do not return my calls. At this point I don’t believe they are holding my belongings, I feel that my belonging have been stolen and I will never see them again. I have pictures of before and after packing of my belongings. I have pictures of the truck packing. I have pictures and list of everything that has happened since day one.
I have documented all that has happened since day one.
This is all facts and no exaggeration.
Police report level of bad service
Would not deliver things until a police report was threatened. Finally upon delivery, three months late mind you, stuff is missing. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. they should be shut down. Criminals. Wish I could give them negative one million stars instead of one. Is United in on it? I don’t know. They were closed on the day of delivery so in order to receive my stuff I STILL had to pay $500. Even though it was 3 months late. The person who delivered the stuff supposedly knows nothing about it, it’s just their job, United supposedly would have talked to them if it wasn’t the weekend and told them I don’t owe the $500 since it was so late. Conveniently, last month, when they tried to deliver THE WRONG PERSONS THINGS TO ME it was ALSO the weekend. You just would not believe. This is some kind of racket that literally should be investigated
Group of unprofessionals .

Scariest experience I ever faced, group of irresponsible worker. They broken everything and some things are missing.
I wish I could give 0 stars
I wish I could give 0 stars. I had a horrible moving experience using safe ship who contracted Ver Vanlines. I moved states in August and when the movers of Ver Van Lines dropped off my stuff, they did not reassemble my furniture and stage my apartment as promised. They left my apartment a mess. Only half of my couch was delivered, my dresser completely ripped apart, my mirror shattered, my bed frame broken, walls damaged. They failed to deliver a few of my boxes one that included all of my books, a collection I had been working on for years. They also left another persons stuff in my apartment, and at least 10+ moving blankets.
One of the movers also showed back up at my door 1.5 hours after they left. He came alone and knocked on my door at 10:30 pm. As a girl who lives alone, I was too scared to open the door. He texted me that he needed to take a video of my apartment which felt suspicious to me.
After a month of back and forth, safe ship promised I would get a refund from Ver Vanlines, as well as my claims, and they would send someone out to fix damages. Since then I have emailed and called multiple times and have not heard anything back. I finally got in contact with someone today and they still don’t have a result for what’s going on and are “trying to reach out” to rectify my situation.
I moved 2 months ago and have spent a ridiculous amount of my free time on the phone with safe ship. I continue to get transferred to someone else that can “help” but have not received any compensation yet. I have also had to purchase a new couch, bed, mirror, and will need to pay for trash removal service to get ride of the old broken furniture as I am unable to sell it.
This move cost me more than if I would have sold all of my old furniture and bought new when I moved. I had to pay for moving services and still had to purchase new furniture. I will not use this company again.
Please do not use this company.
You guys came into my grandmothers…
You guys came into my grandmothers house and opened every single box and stole everything that was valuable. Not only did you steal from us you didn't bring half of the boxes. Then tried to keep my grandmothers belongings hostage. You guys also damaged the furniture. These people are scams and steal.
Middling Experience with Ver Vanlines
I recently used Ver Vanlines for my move, and I have mixed feelings about it. On the plus side, the crew was on time and polite. However, I think they could improve on communication – I had to chase them for updates on my belongings.
The packing was decent, but I noticed a few scratches on some of my furniture. Thankfully, nothing major was damaged. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I expected more from a professional moving company.
Disastrous Experience with Ver Vanlines
I'm still fuming about my recent move with Ver Vanlines. I was expecting a smooth transition, but boy, was I wrong! They showed up late, and their packing was a joke. I think they must have learned packing from a YouTube video or something.
My belongings arrived damaged, and some were even missing. When I called them to complain, they gave me the runaround. No clear communication, no transparency in pricing. It was a nightmare. I felt like I was being taken advantage of.
Unpaid worker
I'm Aya Radouani, friend of Ayoub Chami, who worked for VER VANLINES LLC in North bergen, New Jersey. He completed the agreed work and is owed $3,550, but the company only offered $1,000 and asked him to sign a waiver - which we refused.
Despite repeated attempts to resolve this directly, the company has not paid the full amount and has tried to silence us. We have noticed that some positive reviews are being posted by friends or associates of the company, likely to cover up or hide the negative reviews and real experiences of workers.
We are posting this review to share the facts and warn others who might consider working with them. All reviews by me and friends are truthful, based on real events, and intended to protect others from being treated unfairly.
Company, we want to resolve this directly - please contact me through my email with a written settlement offer. If we do not hear from you, we will escalate this to the NJ Department of Labor and share this story widely to ensure others are aware.

Bad customer service
Very disappointed with this company. The service was very poor . The Customer service was unhelpful and did not solve. I do not recommend them 😡.
A company’s reputation rests on two…
A company’s reputation rests on two pillars: how it treats its customers and how it treats its workers. When employees are not paid fairly or left waiting for wages after completing a job, it shows serious problems in management. If workers can’t rely on the company, customers and partners should be cautious as well.
Fair pay for fair work is a basic standard. Any business that ignores this standard isn’t worth your trust or money.
The service was unreliable
The service was unreliable, but the worst part was the feeling that I had supported something unethical. Some of the workers appeared new to the country and said they weren't even sure if they'd get paid. It's heartbreaking. No one should profit off people's desperation. I urge others to stay away.
On September 12th
On September 12th, 2025, I had a move scheduled with this company. From the very beginning, things did not go as promised. The agreement was for four workers to arrive at 9:00 AM, but only two showed up, and they didn’t arrive until closer to 10:00. That caused a delay that affected the entire day. The two workers who did come were polite, but it was clear they were overwhelmed because they were expected to do the job of four people.
As the day went on, I noticed that some of the furniture wasn’t wrapped the way it should have been, even after I asked for extra care with certain fragile items. By the time we reached the new location, I saw scratches on a table that had been in good condition before, and one box that was supposed to contain personal documents never arrived. I reached out to the office, but instead of getting a clear answer, I only received vague replies.
I want to share a serious warning
I want to share a serious warning for anyone considering working with this moving company or through their brokers. Two of my friends, who are immigrants, have worked here, and over time they were consistently underpaid for their work. Management often leaves workers waiting without proper pay and rarely communicates clearly about hours or compensation. Promises are made but rarely kept, and it’s clear that the company takes advantage of workers who may not fully understand their rights or feel they have limited options.
This is not just a one-time problem — it happens repeatedly. The company seems to prioritize its own convenience over fairness and respect for the people doing the work. Workers deserve to be treated fairly and to receive the pay they are promised, but unfortunately, that has not happened in this case.
I also want to appeal directly to brokers: please think carefully before giving jobs to this company. They do not honor commitments to their workers, and passing work to them only puts more people at risk of being mistreated. I hope this helps others, especially immigrants, make a more informed decision before getting involved. Protect your time, your work, and your rights.
Avoid
I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel like I have to warn people about this company because of what happened to my friend. He worked with them as a mover, traveling from state to state, doing exhausting long-distance jobs. In the end, they refused to pay him what he earned. They kept making excuses and pushing him off, and he was left with nothing after weeks of hard work.
It wasn’t only him either. His friend, who is a U.S. citizen, also got scammed and never received his full pay. This company takes advantage of workers, especially immigrants who don’t always know how to protect themselves. They make people work overtime without pay and then try to silence them.
On top of that, when I was at their office, I personally witnessed multiple customers coming in angry and filing complaints. They were saying their belongings were stolen , gold jewelry, iPads, and other valuables. Some even complained about bedbugs in the trucks that infested their furniture after the move. Hearing all of that made it very clear to me that this is not just a worker problem, but also a serious issue for customers who trust them with their homes and belongings.
This company is dishonest on both sides: they cheat their workers and they scam their clients. Please think twice before hiring them. There are many legitimate moving companies out there, but this one is only out to take advantage of people. I hope this review helps others avoid going through the same nightmare my friend and so many others experienced.
Exceptional Service from the team
I'm thrilled to share my five-star experience with Ver Van Lines! I recently relocated across the country, and I couldn't have asked for a smoother transition. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and caring.
Horrible company!!
Horrible company!!! Do not trust them!!! They lied and scammed us. They were rude and broke our furniture. They were un prepared and late and forced me to call other movers. My female friends reported that they were creepy and lecherous.
