This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a main dealer. I booked my vehicle in with several ongoing faults, including persistent Apple CarPlay/radio issues and mechanical noises. After having my car in for diagnostic for the day, I was told just 15 minutes before closing that it had been stripped apart and required additional work such as the tooth belt to be replaced. The following day, after all the disruption, I was told it was ready and that they had simply lubricated the auxiliary belt instead rather than replacing the tooth belt like they had mentioned on the phone. Unsurprisingly, the faults I originally reported are still there.
I even provided videos showing the issues, but they appeared to be dismissed rather than properly investigated. Instead of finding a solution, I was given excuses, including being told that my phone was “too new” for the car. For a Volkswagen main dealership, that explanation is frankly embarrassing.
What makes this even more disappointing is the complete lack of consideration for the inconvenience caused. I work night shifts for the NHS and had finished a shift before attending the dealership. Despite being exhausted and due back in for another night shift later that day, I was left sitting in the dealership for over two hours waiting for answers. Because of the delays and poor communication, I also had to cancel my birthday plans, something I can’t get back due to not giving me a like for like size car. I drive a 7 seater Touran as a family of 5 with 3 very young children who still rear face in the car and they provided me a tiny little polo that I couldn’t get my whole family in or their rear facing car seats.
After all of that inconvenience, wasted time, and disruption to both my work and personal life, absolutely nothing has been done to rectify the issues with my vehicle. There has been no meaningful resolution, no accountability, and no effort to restore my confidence.
A main dealer should provide expertise, professionalism, and customer care. Instead, I was left feeling ignored, dismissed, and completely let down. I have lost all confidence in this dealership and would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with their vehicle.not the first time I’ve had issues with this dealership and so had my sister!

Great Service from VW Mansfield!
I recently bought a VW Polo from Vertu Volkswagen Mansfield and couldn't be happier with both the car and the service I received.
The whole buying experience was smooth, straightforward and stress free from start to finish. Steve was incredibly helpful throughout the process, taking the time to answer all of my questions and making sure everything was explained clearly. He was friendly, professional and never made me feel under any pressure.

There was no pushing or pressure, I was listened to by Jamie, if he was in anyway unsure he immediately checked with his manager, I hadn't realised he was fairly new to the job. I felt assured that he was doing his very best to find what I was looking for, which wasn't an easy task. He arranged a test drive, in a same spec vehicle and was very good at explaining all the controls before we set off. Now, in my mid sixties, I finally have my dream Golf, thank you Vertu Mansfield. PS the last one was a Mk2!! Ancient but sorely missed.

The dealership that I brought the vehicle from where really good and responsive but after picking the vehicle it developed a fault this is when things took a turn for the worse first they wouldn't return my call to discuss the issues after ringing multiple times I had to threaten them and say I would bring the car back leave it in the yard at the dealership and take the keys with me that is when I got any kind of response now 2 weeks later have the same issues and no further resolving the initial problem . Buyer beware I will never use this company again and would advise anyone else to think very carefully before parting with your hard earned cash.quick update after posting the review immediately i had a response from vertu asking me to email them and give they could look into it in further detail which I did thinking I may get some sort of response but since emailing them nothing so really this company is not interested in customer satisfaction at all.

Excellent service from start to finish on purchasing my new VW T Roc from VERTU Mansfield Garage.
I got a generous trade-in price for my own car and the service I received from Steve in Sales was marvelous. He had a caring and patient attitude which I very much appreciated .
I came into contact with other staff members and they were all professional and pleasant to chat with.
I met the manager Dale who runs the business in a very competent way.
