One of the Worst Internet Service…

One of the Worst Internet Service Experiences I’ve Ever Had — Be Careful Before Signing Anything!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is honestly one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I’ve had with an internet provider. I moved out of my flat on 16 March 2025, after being asked to leave by my landlord — not by choice, but because he was moving in. I informed all services I no longer live there, and yet, Velocity One has decided to charge me £224 for the remaining months of a contract that supposedly runs until September.

Why should I pay for internet I no longer use in a flat I was forced to leave? Absolutely ridiculous.

Worse yet — their customer service is completely unresponsive. I tried calling several times, and all I got was “they’re on lunch” or “on leave.” During working hours! How long is lunch in this company — three hours?

And when I finally got through, they had the audacity to blame me for not reading the contract. I’m sorry — was I supposed to magically know I’d be kicked out early by my landlord?

There is no flexibility, no understanding, no real help. Just robotic answers and a bill I shouldn’t have to pay. This feels like pure greed and terrible customer care. Honestly, it makes me understand why so many people are leaving the UK — basic services are falling apart and still robbing people.

STUDENTS BEWARE. If you’re renting and not staying long-term, avoid this provider at all costs unless you want to be stuck paying hundreds of pounds for nothing.

Great Service!!!

I had an issue connecting and two gentlemen very patiently helped me through. Satveer initially guided me through a phone call which was very helpful. It was finally sorted by Lee. i want to thank you both. Amazing service guys.

Wonderful customer support from Lee Aden...

This weekend, there's been an out of hours issue in my area, but Lee worked extra time on Saturday to answer calls and solve connection problems throughout the zone. He even called me back on my number as the line was busy and solved our issue in 5 minutes.

Since we got in touch with him, for any Internet-related issues, he has always shown a real interest in solving them quickly and professionally. His patience in addressing the issue, has always given me confidence and I really appreciate this. Great work!

Excellent customer service from Lee…

Excellent customer service from Lee Aden. Patience, professionalism and skill. I've been a client for over 4 years, and had my issues, yes, but nothing that a quick phone call and a few chats can't solve. No service provider is perfect, but it's a blessing knowing that you have people like Lee on the other side to help you out.

Lee and the team are absolutely amazing. Very stress experience moving home was made so much better by Lee’s outstanding customer service. My issues were solved the same day and nothing was too much trouble. Outstanding

Downtime

The past month, the Internet across Quintain Living apartments has been down a lot, nearly every day, making it very difficult to work from home. We pay extra to Velocity1 for their Max package, and they do not reply to emails for support or compensation for this downtime.

Terrible service (via quintain living…

Terrible service (via quintain living @wembley park). The service has by all accounts been terrible for months, so much so the line you call for complaints has a 'we're sorry' message before you even get to the options. Even streaming (netflix & sky) is poor, let alone anything like online gaming and some devices don't even connect, and they're tech support is not good either.

Great service from Lee

Great service! Dealt with Lee on the sales side, and he was a massive help. Had all the information and T’s and C’s in minutes. Very helpful and reached back out to make sure the service was up and running. Thanks very much for the great experience Lee!

Missed visit…

Velocity 1 arranged a visit to my property.
Took day off work UNPAID.
Time of visit came and went.
No phone call, no contact at all.
I called and got told he's not coming.
Cost me £170 in lost wages.
Brilliant 👏

Velocity1 is an absolute nightmare

Velocity1 is an absolute nightmare. While they tend to answer customer queries quickly, the quality of their network is absolute rubbish. Instead of letting each flat have their own router and private network, the networks are virtual based on radius authentication. Due to various reasons, it's an absolute nightmare. Wifi keeps disconnecting, ethernet connected devices are very often not reachable, and calls and RDP sessions are constantly dropping.

Poor customer service

Have been a customer for 3 + years , I contact customer care to enable 1 RJ 45 wall internet socket in my property so that my child could have internet to his computer which does not have wifi.

Was told that I will be called shortly after discussing with technician.

No response .

Upon calling them again after 2 days waiting , the lady at customer service says that this is not possible - it is not easy !
