My family and I stayed for 2 weeks at this lovely ground floor apartment and we had a wonderful holiday.
The apartment is located less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, the supermarket, restaurants, bars, nightclub, etc. There is a pool and swings within the apartment complex and a beautiful garden, which is well tended.
The apartment itself has everything you could need, including beach towels!
Toni was so helpful and provided essentials in the fridge on arrival and a fantastic bowl of fruit. Another excellent thing was that there were herbs and spices in the cupboard, tea bags, salt, pepper, ice cubes in the freezer, oil and vinegar, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, which we just replaced as we ran out of things. There were pegs for the clothes airer, there was a bbq with briquettes, which we didn't use, but it has everything you could need.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Short version:
Staff is excellent; system is infuriating.

We booked our stay well in advance. However, it seems that rather than charge the cost when we booked it, there was some 'scheduled payment'.
Most credit cards use two-step verification these days, and therefore Vacalia could not charge the card months after the initial booking. Therefore, they cancelled our booking automatically.
BUT – we were never notified that our booking was cancelled, so we simply assumed our intitial confirmation was valid.
Out of sheer luck, we attempted to contact the property to tell them our flight was delayed – then we learned that our booking had been cancelled.

Luckily, the place we wanted to book was still available, and staff at Vacalia did a good job of handling the last minute arrangements, and dealing with our frustration.

I want to give Vacalia a scathing review for this insane practice – that said, staff was so friendly and efficient, they deserve some kudos.

Good response to queries before the holiday.
Good contact and information, but some links did not work well.
Some of the data and information required was difficult to input and some unnecessary.
Biggest issue was booking our return transfer to the airport. The online form did not allow us to put in a single journey from the villa to Palma airport. We tried calling and were given the wrong information on the phone. We ended up having to make four phone calls. It was a worry as we were not then sure whether our taxi would arrive to collect us to go to the airport - fortunately it did. The actual taxi service and car and driver were excellent, but arranging it was very problematic.
The villa was not quite as expected. Rather basic interior with rough stone entrance hall and lounge floor. The second bathroom is only accessible from the outside, so not good at night or in bad weather. At first it only had cold water so the owner had to get that fixed.
Garden furniture could do with updating - sunloungers only fixed for laying flat and could not sit up to read.
We were only there for six days and there were only three of us, so we were fine but would not have been so happy staying longer with a bigger group. Very spacious but lacked some facilities.
The location was excellent, people around the place were friendly and the owner was lovely and dealt with the cold water issue.

we spent the best week in SES ROTGES. The place looks even more amazing in reality. The house was very big with lots of rooms, so it was very accommodating to our big family, also the kitchen is fully equipped, so we could cook at home and barbecue. The pool is a bit smaller than expected, but it was nice and clean. The place is very private and quiet, we really enjoyed the privacy, but its important to know that you will definitely need a car to reach the place, buy groceries and visit the surrounding attractions. Thank you SES ROTGES, we will be coming back.

First time booking with Vacalia, very impressed with notifications and helpful information. Any queries were dealt with immediately. Very happy with accommodation, had a great stress free holiday. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice villa with all the necessary facilities. The 4 bedrooms are large and comfortable.
The garden and the pool are well maintained.

We spent a week with our family in August 22 and would highly recommend this villa (the area around the house is one of the best of the island).

Everything went smoothly with our villa however I felt that information was a little limited and emails from Vacalia came from different addresses which concerned me that I might miss important info. I missed an initial email which meant I had my villa cancelled and had to re book it quickly as had already arranged flights. I felt that vacalia could have contacted me by phone instead of just cancelling. Would not let this put me off using again as Villa was excellent.

This was our third visit to Can Altes, we find it a very relaxing place with a rustic feel to the facilities. With the very hot recent weather we spent plenty of time in the pool. Next year we hope to find the outdoor shower fully accessible, small paver slabs had been stored there together with several sunshade bases and the pool cleaning tools. The shower did operate correctly but was unusable due to the stored items.

Easy rental, everything was as expected and questions where answered rapidly. Can recommend!
