Definitely the worst bank I’ve ever had…

Definitely the worst bank I’ve ever had to deal with. I can’t make any irregular transactions, I can’t take more than $200 out of my account, and their customer service is absolutly terrible. I’ve been transferred 3 separate times and now have been on hold for 41 minutes all because I’m trying to order something online and I guess it’s too “big” of a purchase. What a joke.

What kind of bank runs like this

Recieved a check from a company that uses u.s. bank. Nobody will cash it. Called costumer service to ve told the only way is to drive 300 miles to the nearest branch to cash it. Asked for someone above them and was rejected and hung up on. I didnt use foul language and wasnt yelling. Heavy accents and you can hear tge below 90 iq behind the phone. So now I got a dud check and they dont seem to care at all.

Without contacting me they closed my account and refused to explain. Said I would have to wait for a letter to come in the mail. Was told to go to a branch and I would be able to get my money with no problem. I then had to talk to the branch manager, who said there was a hold on the funds and that would have to be removed before they could give you my money that was really sweet. This is my pay payroll and I really need to pay my bills. I would suggest that anybody thinking about going to US Bank stay about as far away from them as they humanly possibly can. My friends have advised many times for me to change my banking, but I was staying here because I’ve been with them for over 27 years with my husband. My husband is now gone so I guess so is US Bank😡

Someone tried to open an account in my company's name. I found out when the denied the application and send a letter to my office. I called their fraud department and they ask for my details so they could look is up. I declined saying why give you my details. I don't know what they put on the application other than my name the business name and the business address. I do have your ref number from the letter. They said they can't look anything up by that. Will there be anything else? Ok then have a great day. Then why does your letter tell me to call!!!!???? I waited on hold for 20 minutes for that. After that experience I would never use or recommend.

I would rate it negatively if I could

I would rate it negatively if I could. I do Not have a US Bank account as I am already familiar with their rip off, lack of customer service type of banking but this really has to be the worse way a financial institution can conduct themselves. Unfortunately for me I was out and I needed cash. The only atm available at the time was a US Bank atm. I made my withdrawal. The atm told me I would have a service fee of under $5 and I agreed to that and got my money. The next day I looked up my bank account and saw that US Bank charged me a $350.00 atm fee. No joke and I would put up a screenshot if I could. Three hundred and fifty dollars for using their atm. So I contact my bank and they have to cancel my atm card, leaving me without access to my money for the 5-7 days it takes to get it replaced. Almost immediately after I get off the phone with my bank I see that they debited my account AGAIN. So at this point my bank told me I needed to contact US Bann for help and to see what was going on.

So I call US Bank… who tells me I am not a customer because I don’t have a checking account with them so they can’t help me. I explain that yes I am, I am an atm customer of theirs because I used their atm which was what was causing me the issue and allowing them to rob me if $350. I also explained there was no way they shouldn’t have Someone I can talk to about them continually robbing me. Not one single apology. I held for over a half an hour for a supervisor and they did nothing but be rude to me and not help me at all. I am disgusted at US Banks behavior and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Wish I could give 0 or negative stars.

Wish I could give 0 or negative stars.

US Bank uses an Indian call center for customer service where they don’t understand/speak English fluently. I called to have fees waived and they ended up closing my account and saying there is no record of the money they owed. So I’m out $100 and they say there is nothing they can do. Guy on the phone said “sorry I fkd up”.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING US BANK!

Bad experience

I could not find anywhere on the US Bank website how to redeem rewards. I had to call US Bank to redeem the rewards I have. The call resulted in numerous steps with a recorded system, no live person offered or obtained. This was a laborious process and I don't recommend US Bank for credit card services.

Terrible Business Lending. Beware!

The business loan arm of this bank is terrible. They made me jump through hoops for a relatively small business loan and after several months sent me a letter that my loan had been approved. Then, I recieved an email from the agent asking that my son be removed from our corporation (by buying back his shares) for them to process the loan. I had to do this with help from my attorney. They also asked for the bank account where the payments would be coming from. I did everything they asked, and then they said that they could not do the loan because I had removed my son from our corporation and they had to wait 6 months to proceed. Well, why didn't they tell me that in the beginning, before I actually bought the shares back? This company is really bad at customer service and the agent treated me like I was just a bother to her. She was curt and abrupt and treated me like I was just a number. One more file to get off her desk. I wasted valuable time to get a working capital loan that I really needed! They just strung me along. Bad business dealings with US Bank. I will close my account there tomorrow.

US Bank only focuses on its revenue and shareholder value be damned the customer

I have been with US Bank for to many years to count and I have watched to decline of this bank to a faint shell of what it once was. The personal service and care have been replaced with security theater and customer concern theater. Closing branches that should have remained open while keeping branches open that are clearly on life support is not putting your customers first. This bank uses so much security theater it is insane. The security theater is there for the protection of the bank and has nothing to do with the security of the customer. The contracts are written that they have no liability for errors. I really valued my relationship with US Bank say 10 years ago but I hate my relationship with US Bank now and in the process of moving all my accounts to a credit union. US Bank is a shining example of a publicly traded business that does not put its customers first. Its mandate by definition as a publicly traded entity is to put revenue, executive compensation, and shareholder value first. There was a time when US Bank was fully capable of making the customer not feel undervalued while meeting its directives, that time is long gone and every time I have an interaction with a branch it is always a regurgitation of US Bank Kool-Aid policy being spewed by the employees. It is beyond insulting. The people at the branches are generally nice but most are HIGHLY unprofessional. Their dress is highly unprofessional - wearing tight clothing to show off your physical offerings is disgusting, literally being able to see a woman's breast through their shirts or the outline of their private part, wearing mid-drift shirts should never be allowed in a business setting, long filed to a point fingernails or super long fingernails where a teller cannot actually pick up money is absolutely unacceptable, their excessive talking with clients about nothing (many times for 10 to 15 mins) to do with banking while customers are lined up waiting is really an insulting. It is as if US Bank and many of the US Bank branches we have worked with over the last 5-6 years are all pale shells of what they once were. The quality of the staff is as if US Bank is actively working to attract the most unqualified unprofessional people they can find. I know this will be met with "I am sorry you feel this way", as this is what I am told when I bring these issues up to US Bank staff and branch management. US Bank has ZERO interest in the customer experience - much like the Security Theater of US Bank so is the customer concern angle nothing but Customer Care Theater. I feel like I have been a bad marriage the last ten years where the other parties could care less.

Never get a business loan through US Bank. Literally a scam. I got a $50,000 business loan. As of today I've paid almost $35,000 and only paid $18,000 on principal. In my account US Bank won't show you how bad they're shafting you. Literally extortion, I can understand making some money back on your loan but this is literally a racket. They purposely hide all the interest they shaft you with. I'll never get a loan through US Bank again.

After being passed around like a hot…

After being passed around like a hot potato by two previous representatives who seemed more interested in reading scripts than solving problems, I was ready to close my account. Then, I spoke with Romme.

In an industry where "customer support" often feels like an automated obstacle course, Romme was a revelation. While the first two people I spoke with left me more confused and frustrated than when I started, Romme actually listened. He didn't just "handle" my call; he owned the problem.

He cut through the red tape, identified the root cause that others had missed, and stayed on the line until the issue was 100% resolved. It is rare to find someone who possesses both the technical expertise to navigate complex banking systems and the emotional intelligence to handle a frustrated customer with such grace.

If US Bank wants to know why customers stay, it isn't because of the apps or the interest rates—it’s because of people like Romme. He turned a negative experience into a masterclass in professional service. Give this man a raise, a promotion, or at the very least, use his workflow as the blueprint for the rest of your support team.

Rating: 5/5 Stars – All thanks to Romme.

Horrible customer service

Recieved emails and regular mail informing me of an account being opened, but I never applied for an account with US Bank. Tried to contact them multiple times and wait times are ridiculous. Finally spoke to a rep who told me they would take care of it. Received a notice in the mail thanking me for applying, called customer service again. 1 hour wait for a rep. Beware using this bank. Customer service is terrible.

West side US bank of Great falls mt has us finally leaving … small services are not something you will find there. Been there for almost 40 years… closed our branch in Shelby mt… small towns are wonderful but once a big bank leaves your community behind they don’t care. That gal behind the desk in her little office was quite comfortable watching a customer go bye bye… a simple task of exchanging a small amount of damaged but still whole money was too difficult …That coupled by trying to navigate thru AI phone rabbit holes instead of real people to speak to … what an ordeal … good riddens

There should be a zero star option for…

There should be a zero star option for U.S. Bank.

It’s hard to fathom the corporate management of such a large bank being so ignorant to the importance of customer service, considering the reason said business builds wealth is by loaning its patrons’ wealth to others. You would think continuing to receive these deposits would be important to them, possibly.

Insane wait times to speak to “customer service” representatives, who will reliably treat you with little respect, in some proudly unintelligable version of the English language. I just a moment ago, in fact, was reprimanded by one of these agents for insufficiently answering the question “that [she] had axed me.” You may as well outsource the calls to India, where at least they act like they care about keeping their jobs.

Add a mobile app that has more advertisements than an Instagram feed pop up when you’re just logging in to to verify that there aren’t any MORE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES showing up in your BUSINESS ACCOUNTS and you have a massive multinational corporation with the customer relations acumen of a subway peddler in charge of your assets.

Shamefully bad business. I guess the Tepper School of Business didn’t teach their MBAs that you can’t very well sustain growth while simultaneously losing customers. Maybe the tone at the bottom is just a reflection of the tone at the top.

New clients beware

I have excellent credit and a 20yr history with 0 late payments. The only credit debt is 0% interest/revolving and paid off every month. After much research I decided on opening a new card with US Bank and the credit limited they gave was so low it wasn't even worth the credit check... When I called days later the only option they have is to do another hard pull with no guarantee. Also they mail cards via standard mail and take a week to get! I would not use this company again knowing what I know now.

Humiliated for Trying to Withdraw My Own Money

I had an extremely upsetting and humiliating experience at the U.S. Bank branch located inside the Arapahoe Crossing King Soopers in the Denver, Colorado area.

I went in to withdraw money from my own personal account. When I was told the full amount might not be immediately available, I calmly suggested making the withdrawal in two parts on different days. The male teller I was working with was willing to help and process my request.

However, a female employee named Sarah suddenly intervened and told me that I would need to explain what I planned to use my own money for before the withdrawal could proceed.

I was absolutely shocked.

I have been banking with U.S. Bank for over 10 years, and not once has any employee ever demanded that I justify how I would spend my own money. Her tone felt interrogative and accusatory, as if I were doing something suspicious or illegal. I felt humiliated and treated like a criminal rather than a long-time customer.

This experience was handled in a completely inappropriate and disrespectful manner. I am still trying to understand why I was singled out and treated this way.

This will remain one of the worst banking experiences I have ever had.
