Bad experience never had such experience with any bank for car lease. Unexpected charges. Mishandled information. Termination fee, even i didnt terminate the lease - i was obligated to buy the car - no other bank does this. You didnt buy means terminate - fee $395- access wear -$500 no wear my car was new with 18k miles for 3.5 years plus tax - Bill 930. US bank must be Happy to have such a customer like me.- never late with payments , returned brand new car - Unprofessional, fraudelent policy!!!

Banked with US Bank for 7 years. Got a call there was fraud on my card & they need to send a new one. Not overnight, not priority, just 5 to 7 business days. After waiting 4 days with no update or tracking number, I called US Bank. Turns out they sent my card to Miami - WHERE THE FRAUD WAS COMMITTED!!! Then they tell me it ain't my business to know how this happened. As United States bank holders, we're all are protected under Truth in Lending Act (TILA) / Regulation Z to safeguard your money. THE ISSUE IS THE TIME & EFFORT. Went to another bank and WALKED OUT WITH A NEW CARD. Nice folks at the branch - but corporate leadership SUX

I work for another company and had a client call in with us bank on the line and this guy was screaming at the customer and even was threating to mess with her mortgage! I was absolutely horrified by how he treated the client. Then the guy disconnected me just to keep threating the client! It was absolutely horrible customer service. If you don't want your mortgage to be messed with because someone is having a bad day do not go with this bank!!

Barely a 2 star. I’ve been with US Bank for prob 10-15 years. Not ONCE as a loyal customer would they help me with anything !! I mean NOTHING. They said no to Car loan. They said no to a simple 500.00 loan to help me at a bad time. Not a God Damn thing ! Do NOT use this bank where loyalty gets you NOTHING!

worst ive experience. they charge me late fee on a duplicate transaction I was eventually refunded by the service provider but the dispute department marked my account for fraud and ruined my perfect credit score. they are criminals and DO NOT TREAT CUSTOMERS WELL

I had anticipated a seamless experience when I signed up, but it soon became irritating. For days, my money was locked, and each time I asked for help, I received contradicting responses, justifications, or nothing at all. I've been waiting for more than a week and have yet to receive any definitive updates. The fact that they don't seem to be managing things honestly or effectively is frustrating and tiring

Rude teller

While coming in to get my name changed I waited for my place in line for a banker to help me. That was all fine. But the manager/teller guy Sam was extremely rude and condescending to the sweet older lady that was helping me. Telling her she probably did something wrong in front of a crowd of people. He was short and rude again on another account when she kindly asked him a question and he just ignored her.
This is a small town and pretty much anytime I have seen this worker named Sam or he has helped me and my family he has been rude and not friendly or kind.
Lied about Balance Transfers
Lied about Balance Transfers. I was told that I would get 0% for year and half but turns out... what they don't tell you is... your 0% gets paid off first because of their policy payment method which is lowest apr first then highest apr last. If this was told in their letters they send with those 3 checks I wouldn't have submitted it. The customer service representative was trying to upsell me another Balance Transfer offer which I declined. Really? not a smart move from this company.
CUSTOMER SERVICE DECLINE
The bank had no contingency for the merging of the 2
systems that just took place which was anything but seamless. The customer service that is currently in place
to handle the LOST ACCOUNTS/ INFORMATION is deplorable. Wait times to get into your WEALTH MANAGEMENT Advisor or anyone exceed 45 min to an hour. upon connecting with a bank representative the first 2-3 minutes were consumed with apologies only exacerbating the per call time for others due to the diminished phone personnel.
Fortunately I do not have any IRA/ WEALTH MANANGEMENT ACCOUNTS for them to manage (only monitor) so that all that was required was to call
my insurer to validate that the account had not been hit and the money was still there.
Bottom line, every year the customer service @ US BANK continues to decline, with fewer branches and people doing more. Will be interesting when the next Fall downsizing takes place whether there will be any Brick & Mortar outlets or just AI kiosk or on line. Imagine the millions they will save with the reduction of employees & benefits which will translate into their bottom line profits and not increased services or better rates.

Horrible cardmemeber services. Had fraudulent charge on my credit card and disputed the charge. US Bank 3 times denied (reescalated twice) and sent me a letter for the denial "because I didn't cancel the charge before it posted". Keeping in mind I didn't make the charge, its pretty hard for me to cancel something I didn't do before it happened.

US Bank in Modesto Ca on Mchenry Ave closed my direct deposit account without telling me. If I would have not called the bank because an external loan company could not deposit money into my account i would not have known and my direct deposit that posts to my account every month would not be available to me until US Bank mailed it to me 10 days after they received it. Fortunately I found out in time. I was able to open a new direct deposit account at a new bank, now I will get my next payment on time. I still have not received a letter telling me why they closed my account. Well I don't have to deal with them anymore unless they owe me money or I owe them money. I am overdrawn 33 cents.i am thinking about starting a class action lawsuit cause I'm not the only person they have done this to.

Worst banking experience ever, but is good it happened to me because I was warn. Even if you are not enrolled on overdraft or your overdraft if off they still make payments and charge you an overdraft fee. Worst customer service if any. You will get your overdraft paid but not and account or recommendation from me ever. Keep away from this scammers.

I've had a Visa card with US Bank all my adult life. In November 2025 I purchased a "14K Gold" necklace from a company that manages/holds estate sales. I was told the necklace was 14K gold, and had been tested as such. Paid $852 with my credit card, took it home and put it with some other gold jewelry. When gold surpassed $5000 this January I took it along with a few other pieces to scrap them with my very reputable jeweler. He bought everything except the necklace I had put on my credit card, and told me the necklace was gold plated at best, but certainly not 14K gold. I then filed a dispute with US Bank/Visa and today was notified they had sided with the company that sold me the fake necklace. So, that's my experience with US Bank and Visa, which goes to show they're happy to take your money for 40 years, but where the rubber meets the road, they're nowhere to be found.
Will not support disputes
I have had a US Bank credit card for 25 years. I have only tried to dispute 2 charges. Both times they were denied. They support the companies, not their customers. One dispute I made last week. The company we bought food from did not cook the burgers or chicken fully. These are violations of the California Health an Safety Code 114004. The company refused to refund and US Bank also refused.

Sad to report this negative review. After 15 years with usbank they kicked me out because I was the victim of online robbery, my online account compromised by sneaky scammer. Isn't that why banks are FDIC insured, what happened to protecting customer rights ...LifeLock Alert victims are right, banks will not help you, they'll kick you out first before they help you, they want your money, not interested in protecting you as consumers. Scammers are getting more sophisticated in hacking accounts making it look like you did it and not them. Evil exists everywhere, even the banks.. my local bank tried to fight for me, but the Corporate Risk Team decided the victim should be victimized even more, is disgusting. But there you have it.
One star is way too much!
One star is way, way more than they earned. Have an open and unresolved dispute that was logged with us Bank 10/31/2024. That’s right, 2024!!! They have blown me off for 2 years! Customer service is atrocious. Rude, incompetent, non English fluency abounds with this bank. The will not or cannot keep your on line banking secure from criminals. AVOID US Bank at all costs!!! I suggest Chase bank for prompt and expert customer service. They are light years better!!!

Very unhelpful customer service experience. High fees and a couldn't-care-less attitude. Very disappointed. They’re not even in the top 3 banks. Why give US Bank your business when there are so many other credit card options with reputable banks and courteous customer service agents.
