Cedar Ridge Hearth is the WORST

The ventless fireplace logs stopped working after one season. Had tech come in. He gave me defective parts info. 9/22 - Called company. Tried to say they warranty was with the seller, not them. 10/22 -Emailed them a copy of THEIR 2 year warranty. They jerked me around for 7 months. Sent me return labels after 3 months. 12/22 - Returned unit. For a month they said ‘The team is looking into it’. 1/23 - 6 weeks later they sent me repair parts for the unit that had been sent to and received by them. When I told them that they had the unit, all I got was ‘The team is looking into it’. 3/23 - Two months later, after numerous ‘the team is looking into it’ emails, they sent a replacement unit. 3/23 - Installed unit, checked for leaks (none), lit pilot without issue. When my husband turned on the unit, it flared in his face. Told them they were lucky my husband wasn’t badly burned and I didn’t sue them. Told them to send me return label and refund my money. They sent labels; I returned their set. For the next month ‘the team is looking into it’ was they pat answer. In filed complaints with the NC AG’s office (where I live), with the KY AG’s office (where they’re located) and the Bowling Green Chamber of Congress. 4/23 - They finally agreed to refund my money. We’ll see how long ‘the team is looking into it’ before I receive my refund.
