Soles fall apart …

I bought some expensive Suede shoes from MBT and have hardly worn them
The soles fell apart when I put them on and you can see that they have hardly been used

Overpriced shoe that falls apart after minimal use

The filling in the heals literally crumbled off so the shoe is unwearable. I was offered a 30% discount for a new shoe, but will not buy another shoe from a company that doesn't replace faulty products. This is not normal wear and tear.

I expect much longer use from such expensive shoes.

I have several much older shoes in other brands that are still in great condition.

The following should be made clear before purchase:

The material with which our technology is built - the famous Masai Sensor Technology - is a soft and slightly porous material, which requires specific care (see the conditions of care of the product in the FAQ) and that reacts otherwise depending on its use and the environment in which it is exposed (e.g. too high humidity), in the extreme case it could allow external agents to penetrate inside the sensor, compromising its duration.

Furthermore, like all components of the polymer family, the processing unit maintains its elastic characteristics with use and could degrade if left inactive for a long time.

This si Not the Original Swiss MBT

As other reviews point out, the quality of the MBT USA shoes is not what the now-defunct Swiss version was. The padding does indeed deteriorate in about 6-months of normal wear. And good luck trying to get hold of customer service. After 2 unanswered emails, I called and got disconnected 4 times before I finally found a rep who told me that they do NOT offer exchanges. Their refund policy is tenuous as well and they make the customer fully responsible for tracking and loss. The only reason for the extra star is the shipping and packaging - which were efficient and expeditious. Unfortunately, MBT is one of only a few who make much-needed rocker-bottom shoes for those with foot and ankle injuries. Shame that this company expropriated the MBT name and offers low-quality products and customer service (unlike the original Swiss company).

HINT: Wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday to buy for the maximum discount (sales), otherwise you will overpay for what you get.
