Extremely disappointing cleaning experience!
I booked a cleaner from Urban Company on Wednesday, and it was a complete disaster. Floors and balcony were left dirty, with hair and dust everywhere. The cleaner spent a long time but did not improve anything.
Customer service was non-existent — no proper follow-up, no one addressed my complaint, and the same cleaner was even sent back without my consent.
This service is far below any acceptable standards. If you value cleanliness and professionalism, think twice before booking with them.

One of the worst experiences. Had a monthly subscription with the company, they cancel at the last minute stating the car broke down or they are stuck in traffic. They expect us the plan our schedule based on their cleaner arriving late all the time. Do not use this company.

Terrible service. This is the third time they've sent an "unprofessional cleaner" who clearly doesn't know how to clean. Every time, I have to clean the house myself after she leaves.

There's no quality control, no organization, and the customer service is awful. They don't answer calls or resolve problems. Honestly, it's one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

Today sent a cleaner who is unwell. Urban clap has turned into the most unprofesionally handled and managed company. The recent experience had been oberwhelming and exhausting. They book a service then cancel it and then reschedule it without informing customers and then blame their employees that they are the ones doing it. Do not go into a long term service with them until they improve. Else it is as good a spam.

They keep sending cleaners without Emirates ID (which my security, understandably, will not let into the building). A key point of using a reputable company is to ensure full compliance with the law. This has happened 4 times in 6 weeks. And on another occasion no one arrived and on another occasion two maids arrived at the same time, and I had to spend 30 mins on the phone trying to sort it out. I have only been using UC for two months….

The biggest issue is the customer service - there is basically no way to speak to anyone unless they decide to call you (and even if they do, good luck with that). And the app has only basic functionality. I would have tried to sort this out with customer service - but instead I had little option but to cancel.

If you get a good maid, and you can communicate directly with her, then you may be fine. But UC otherwise provides an extremely underwhelming experience.

Very poor clean and service. i had to chase the cleaner Suni who had taken advantage the we had not moved into the property yet and could not inspect the cleaning straight away. Shocking and would avoid at all costs.

We have been using Urban Company in for several months, and while our first experience was excellent, everything went downhill after that. They clearly try to impress you the first time by sending their best cleaner, but once you start rebooking, the service quality collapses.

I’ve experienced multiple last-minute cancellations, often when I needed the service most. The app shows confirmed bookings, but then—just an hour before—the appointment gets cancelled. When you call customer service, they claim the booking “wasn’t possible,” even though it was already confirmed on their platform. This has happened several times, showing a complete lack of coordination and reliability.

The cleaners themselves are often unprofessional. Many rush through the job, leave air conditioning units running when they leave, and don’t bother to clean thoroughly. A few even plead for top ratings and hint that poor reviews might “cause them problems.” On one occasion, after I gave an honest rating for poor service, I actually received a threatening call from the cleaner saying that “no one will come next time” if I didn’t give high scores. That’s completely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on Urban Company’s management and training standards.

When I reached out to customer service, they offered polite apologies but no real solutions. They keep promising to “escalate the issue” or “ensure it won’t happen again,” yet the same problems continue. There’s no accountability, no quality check, and no consistency. The call center is based in India and the agents really don’t care and have fake apologies.

In the end, Urban Company has proven to be unreliable, unprofessional, and stressful to deal with. They seem more focused on chasing five-star ratings than actually delivering quality service. It’s deeply disappointing because the concept is good—but the execution is terrible.

After months of giving them multiple chances, my conclusion is simple: when all else fails, it’s better to clean your home yourself than rely on Urban Company.

Dishonest advertising. I tried them for one time but was told that the same cleaner is not available for my regular cleaning. I was told that the cleaner belongs to a different “category” Is this ever mentioned in their app? Certainly not! (Refer attached) BTW, I have sent them an email as per their request to resolve this. Let’s see if we can resolve this. Internet customer service team says that they “will handle this.” Update as of 8/8/25 - Internet customer service team called saying that they will arrange for it and “make it happen” but later received a call from the call center saying that it cannot be done. What a bunch of hot air and empty promises… Netizens Pick them at your own risk. You have been warned…

Simple request actually: I want the same helper to clean my place regularly. It’s either you honour it or not. Based on your website, it is within my right as a consumer. If you decide not to honor tour own business offering, it’s your decision as well. Let netizens decide and maybe bring their business elsewhere. I’m certainly bring my business elsewhere.

They rescheduled my 2 days prior booking because the professional wasnt available. With no compensation

I’ve used this cleaning company several times, and it’s always the same terrible experience. They never arrive on time — in fact, they often don’t show up at all. For example, I had a confirmed booking at 4:55 PM, the cleaner was supposed to come at 5, but by 6:12 no one came, and then the company cancelled the booking themselves without any refund. This has happened more than once. It feels like a scam. This can’t continue. If you can’t provide proper service or show up on time, you shouldn’t take people’s money in advance and then refuse to return it. Dishonest and unprofessional

Shocking customer care and service. I booked nails for my daughter for prom and booked the lux service. Paid extra for nail art, chrome nails AND chose an expensive technician with xtra training in nail services. Added a head massage for me. I got a technician who could do massage but not nails. My daughter cried. They PROMISED the correct technician the following day. As I had already paid. We raced home from school and 45mins before appointment they rang to say they can’t do nail art, chrome nails or anything extra. They said their website does not reflect what they can do. Do I want to go ahead??? Noooo! Second time! I could not talk to a manager. They said I could put in a ticket for complaint. Unhelpful and their website is misleading and untrue.

Do not use this company: they destroyed our apartment and ran off. Broken tiles, rude staff, the worst company in UAE. They shouldn’t be allowed to operate. Cowboys.

Horrible service. Do not ever use this use local services because this company cannot operate and manage their outsourced cleaners in one week 2 times these people messed up my booking.

I recently booked Kitchen cleaning service with Urban Company, I left disheartened, the professional have used steel scrubber to clean acrylic Trolly now there are stains but the scratches all over the furniture, person have also broke one door,
As per the advertisement of the company they use steam cleaning like techniques, but looking at the recent experience now I have a doubt on training and required equipment’s as well.
After a complaint company just provide 3500 Rs as compensation for the furniture worth 1 Lac
Just bad please stop claiming sparkling kitchen and all you guys don’t even use good equipment’s for the delicate furniture.

Absolutely horrible experience with the professional who was supposed to do my pedicure as well as the customer service members. My foot was burnt within the first few minutes of my pedicure and horrid customer service who were asking me whether I continued the service or not. Terrible terrible experience in Bangalore

Urban Company is not a service provider — it is a well-organized scam operation wearing the mask of professionalism. My recent experience was nothing short of a disgrace, and I'm writing this to make sure no one else falls into their trap.
I scheduled an AC service for 16-05-2025 at 11:30 AM. The app claimed the technician would arrive by 12:00 PM, then I got a call saying it would be 12:30 PM. Fine. I waited. Then at 12:54 PM, while I was driving to work, with my entire family at home waiting for the technician, they had the absolute nerve to call and then AUTO CANCELLED MY BOOKING without even a real attempt to deliver the service.
And here comes the real theft: they deducted ₹200 from the ₹668 I had already prepaid. FOR WHAT? For the cancellation I never made. THEY cancelled it. I followed every instruction, stayed in touch, made myself available — and they still stole my money.
Let this be a RED ALERT to every potential customer:
Urban Company is a slick, polished scam designed to bleed customers dry. They hide behind app notifications, fine print, and shady cancellation policies to justify cheating you out of your hard-earned money.
This is not a mistake. This is not a misunderstanding.
This is systematic, deliberate exploitation.
If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, DO NOT — under any circumstances — book a service with Urban Company. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and downright deceitful. You won’t just be disappointed — you’ll be ROBBED.
This is your warning. Heed it. I wish someone had warned me before I became their next victim.

We’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with UC’s service. Despite multiple delays, missed service appointments, and poor communication, there was no genuine effort to resolve the issues. After receiving refunds on three separate occasions due to service failures, we requested to escalate the matter to senior management.

Unfortunately, even that didn’t lead to a resolution. Today, we were contacted by Mr. Prashant, who identified himself as a senior escalation manager from India overseeing Dubai operations. Instead of acknowledging the service lapses, he attempted to shift the blame onto us—the client—for the subscription issues and failed service timelines.

It’s unacceptable for a service provider to deflect responsibility rather than own up to consistent service failures. This entire experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customer commitment.
