Guys don't do courses in Upgrad. I took a defferal from my course but the support team didn't register that in the portal so I was awarded 0 marks in all the modules and those results has been sent to the University. I got B and C grades in my certificate while I scored A + in all the modules, now they are saying it cannot be changed because university won't let them and they are not even bothered that they were the who sent the wrong scores. Upgrad literally wasted 1 year of my life and career.
I don't even care about the money I spent, but Upgrad wrecked my Career, all those sleepless nights juggling between job and course is in the drain
Hi Upgrad refer to the Case ID: 4657723, if you are going to reply me to connect with studentsupport. It took 5 months to share the access to the portal after deferral even after escalating it to escalation matrix. Your support team don't even provide progress update once in a two week, they're very unprofessional

I watched a video by dw (German news channel) on YouTube, in which they specifically mention upGard. I've a neutral review but I strongly recommend to talk with people, read and educate yourself before paying to Upgard or any other consultancy.

Hii
Please don’t go with upgrad
Their visa people are so unprofessional and inexperienced, they will ruin your visa
U will end up loosing your years and money
Its better to do the whole process alone
The people in their team are very laid back and don’t attend to u at all
The refund process is so tiring too

My experience with UpGrad has been extremely disappointing. I enrolled in their PG Diploma in Machine Learning and Data Science based on the assurance that it wouldn’t require extensive coding. However, the course is actually very coding-intensive and not suitable for individuals without a programming or statistics background.
The content is overwhelming and compressed into a very short timeframe, which has left many students in my batch feeling stressed and struggling to keep up. Despite charging the full fee upfront, they do not offer any refund policy.
What’s even more frustrating is the lack of responsiveness from their support team. I’ve been trying to request a refund of INR 250,000, but it has been repeatedly rejected on the grounds that I am already enrolled and refunds are not allowed.
I would strongly advise others to think carefully before enrolling. As an edtech company, they seriously need to review both their pricing structure and their refund policies.
With my comment, someone from upgrade will apologise and state that I must contact student support. No use as they just say we don’t have refund policy. They have no grievance team.
Anyone knows a lawyer who can file a case, I am ready to support filing one. We can do a class action of all students who felt a similar pain. I already have a group of students undergoing similar pain.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the unfair handling of my course upgrade and payment.
I was encouraged to upgrade and made to pay the full amount for the program without being provided proper classes or adequate service. Despite not receiving the promised quality of education, my money has been held without justification, and no refund has been issued.
This experience has been extremely disappointing. I feel misled into making the payment, and the lack of support and accountability from your side reflects very poor service.
I request you to:
* Review my case immediately
* Initiate a full refund of the amount paid
* Provide a clear explanation for the delay and inconvenience caused
If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate the matter further.
I hope for a quick and fair resolution.

So I signed up for the DBA program. I was led to believe it would start in February, but actually it starts on March 31st, essentially, April. So to get your money and usher you into the program, they lie. Okay, that's how it goes when money has to be made. Then I noticed that the portal they are using is outdated. I have been in the e-commerce online space for over 10 years, so I know what should be expected in 2026. This company is operating with systems that belong in the 20th century. After my second payment, the payment portal didn't update my balance, so I requested that this be fixed. It never was. Bear in mind that they have a subscription system so once you link your card, the money comes out each month automatically. Therefore, having a correct balance is paramount. It is a basic expectation, but this Upgrad is so backward that they couldn't even fix that. Of course, they kept sending discount offers, hoping I would pay in full. Well, I decided that I was not going to support such backwardness. There was no way I was going to give these people any more of my money. The total fee was 8500USD. In addition, the staff can be very rude when asked to account for the inefficiencies. I requested a refund within the time frame stipulated by their terms and conditions, but they have refused to grant a refund. That says it all. This company is not to be trusted. It is unprofessional, backward, inefficient, and not about giving value for money. I intend to take the matter further and will update the forum in due course.
Update 1: So I received an email in which a promise was made to refund the full amount paid. There is a saying that goes 'a promise is comfort to a fool.' It clearly applies in this case because, since that email, there has been no further contact, even though I provided the necessary information needed to receive the refund. Based on this, I would venture to say that Upgrad can be described as a scam. But as I get the time, I'll be pushing on with my advocacy so others are made aware of this fraud known as Upgrad.
Update 2. Several hours after my first update, I received another email from Upgrad. In this email, nothing was said about when I would actually get the refund. The email informed me that I would be contacted by a member of the admissions team to better understand my request. What nonsense! My request has been made very clear already, and I received a prior email that offered the full refund! I tell you, this Upgrad is bogus. Anyway, I replied to the email and made it clear that there was nothing to discuss and that I needed to know when I would receive my refund. SMH.
Update 3: Got yet another email telling me the same thing I was told before. These emails come from student services, and it is always the same blah blah. 'Someone will reach out to you.' When I mentioned earlier that Upgrad is backward, I wasn't joking. I'll be emailing the Trade Division of the Indian High Commission here to actually find out if they are aware of this Upgrad and see what I can find out.

My experience with Upgrad is the worst decision in my life. I enrolled for Liverpool MBA expecting that it will boost my career but nothing happened. No company is recognising this MBA and just I am paying EMI

My experience with upGrad has been extremely disappointing. As an international student, I expected proper guidance and transparency about the program and university situation, but unfortunately that was not the case.
The company does not clearly explain the real situation students may face after enrolling. Many important details about the process and challenges were not communicated beforehand, which puts students in a very difficult position later.
I also faced several problems during the documentation process. Whenever I asked for help, the staff was not cooperative and the support was very poor. Instead of guiding students properly, it often felt like we were left to figure things out on our own.
Students invest a lot of money, time, and trust when choosing a program through upGrad. Unfortunately, my experience has shown that the company does not provide the level of support or responsibility that students deserve.
Overall, I would not recommend upGrad to other students who are planning to study abroad. Proper support, transparency, and student care were seriously lacking in my experience.

I recently attended an interview with upGrad conducted by Ajay for a USA process role. Since the position was specifically for handling US clients, I applied with confidence due to my prior experience working with US and UK-based companies.
I was thoroughly prepared for the interview and had researched the company and the role in detail. I answered all questions confidently and shared my background in handling both B2B and B2C international processes. Throughout my professional experience, I have consistently performed well and communicated effectively with global clients without any concerns regarding clarity.
However, I was informed that I was not selected because my accent was not considered “neutral.” This was surprising, especially considering the role was for a US process and I have successfully worked with international clients for an extended period.
While I respect organizational standards, I believe effective communication, clarity, and proven performance should carry more weight than accent preference alone — particularly for international roles.
I hope future evaluations focus more on communication effectiveness and practical experience rather than accent conformity.

I am very disappointed with my experience with upGrad. I paid ₹15,000 for course enrollment, but I have neither been enrolled in any course nor received a refund.
Despite calling multiple times and sending several emails to their support team, I have not received any proper response or resolution. There has been no clear communication regarding my enrollment status or refund process.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. I request upGrad to either enroll me in the course immediately or process my refund without further delay.
I hope the management takes this matter seriously and improves their customer support and response time.
Upgrad is a business masquerading as an education platform. Their only goal is to extract as much money from students as possible and pay as low as possible to the educators/teachers. I say this because I do not believe any of the teachers is coherent or qualified to be teaching the stuff they teach. Most of them are just reading things out of a script.
The content is outdated.
The online videos they provide to cover course material are straight up wrong.
I would suggest going to random Youtube videos and learning instead of using Upgrad.

Everything went wrong. From Courses to Visa process. Don't believe this consultancy guys. There are so many better consultancies than this. Please keep this as last option.

I would give this service zero stars if that were possible. I registered for a consultation and experienced repeated professionalism failures. The assigned representative, Jenil, arrived late to the first scheduled meeting due to a traffic delay and requested a reschedule. This followed multiple back and forth messages and phone calls during an already scheduled meeting time.
The consultation was rescheduled for the following week and his availability was explicitly confirmed in advance. He did not attend the rescheduled meeting. I attempted to contact him directly and also called the company’s main office, which led only to an answering machine.
For a company positioning itself as a provider of consultation services in STEM and business education, this level of unreliability at the initial point of contact is unacceptable.

They lure you to join the course and go all the way to enroll you. I couldn't proceed with the course due to some unforeseen circumstance, they then tried to cajole me to join and then swindled me out of the registration fee after returning a paltry sum. It is jus a money making racket. Do not join.

How rude was the councillor. I simply wanted to know their fees and how they’ll help me for Germany and this guy was behaving very rude and mansplaining me even though I already told him my goals. He kept insisting me to join their program for profile building even though I already know I have good enough profile to get into the unis I want. He disrespected my opinions and kept insisting to talking with my parents as if I’m a child. Worst career abroad counselling ever
