Any negative reviews are clearly a direct result of a very small but disproportionately loud percentage of exhibitors who have taken it upon themselves to write unnecessarily vitriolic comments.

I always love being at the fair and as all the promotional images prove, there’s always a very busy turnout.

Apparently an email was sent out from one artist, encouraging people to write bad reviews, not good etiquette at all. From what I see here, the instigator has been removed as a result.

It would be impossible to obtain so many well crafted 5 star reviews if the negative ones held any water.

All the replies show the full breakdown of promotion and advertising laid out to artists which all seemed very comprehensive and effective to me.

Had a fantastic time in Artist fair. Wide range of artists, drinks flying and generally great and positive vibes - all for free to see. Organisers deliver every year. Strongly recommend

Always a great exhibition filling the gorgeous Chelsea town hall, with lots of visitors throughout. Something I would highly recommend whether you’re a relatively new artist or a seasoned pro, the high turn out results in a high volume of sales and the atmosphere is always so lovely.

As an exhibitor, this fair was dismal. We exhibited under my husband's name, which we are not using here because we genuinely expect retaliation and defensiveness from the organisers. There are many things about the whole event which were highly disappointing, but I will focus on the factual evidence at hand which cannot be disputed:
- No social media during or leading up to the fair. The fair itself seems to have two names - The Untitled Art Fair and The Untitled Artists Fair. The Instagram page was not leveraged for the fair, and was not doing any promotion of the exhibiting artists. There were no reposts, and it was actually not possible to tag them in posts.
- This was a free art fair, which is great for footfall, but is completely untargeted, with no way of knowing what kind of visitor is going to come through the door. Numbers are high, but numbers of art buyers? It's anybody's guess because there is no record of who they are.
- No front desk or reception. This was surprising since the exhibitors were told to ensure that guests were registered online. If they were registered, you would expect some checking of their registration and a QR code perhaps. Our friends did not even get an email response to their registration, which in the end, they didn't need to do, because it was a free event. The registration form served no purpose except to collect their personal data.
- No front desk or reception. Visitors ended up approaching the first few stands to ask basic logistics questions, e.g. for directions to a stand, for questions about a particular artist.
- No printed literature. At every single other art fair, there is some welcome literature for the visitor, to tell them more about the fair and the artists exhibiting and their stand numbers.
Artists can make up their own mind about whether they will sell their work at an event like this. We had a good time meeting other artists and having nice conversations, but this was a by-product and not the main objective of the fair, which was to sell work.

I have attended the Untitled Artists’ Fair for several years and it consistently remains one of the highlights of my creative calendar.

Each year I meet new and interesting people, adding to the sense of community that defines the fairs artist to buyer ethos. This makes Untitled truly innovative and distinctive.

The event is always exceptionally well organised and remains true to its mission: providing an opportunity to purchase art directly, without the involvement of galleries or their huge, added commissions.

The atmosphere is both vibrant and welcoming. It strikes the ideal balance between energy and relaxation, making it equally appealing to seasoned collectors and those beginning to explore the art world.

There is never any pressure to buy which allows visitors to enjoy the works at their own pace and appreciate the variety on display.

This space very often results in more sales, especially for first time buyers who might previously have been intimidated.

One of the most rewarding aspects is the opportunity to speak directly with the artists and learn the stories behind their work.

The founder is a fellow artist which makes all the difference. Along with his entire team, that have always demonstrated a high level of professionalism combined with genuine warmth and love for art, ensuring that everyone feels welcome, included and valued.

I can’t recommend this event highly enough.

I really enjoyed my time at this fair. I thought the artists were super good and talented. There was a good vibe, nice drinks and I'll bring my friends next year!

I absolutely loved this art fair, it was very welcoming with great hospitality. I purchased two pieces at what I thought were very reasonable prices.

I thoroughly enjoyed this art fair!
My favourite aspect of the show was that there was no niche. Artists got to showcase their own individual work without any specific team.
Every single artist I interacted with was so kind and willing to really explain their work to me. The set up was amazing as every artist had their own small enclosed area. It allowed you to seperate the work and view every artist as an individual.
I will be back again next year.

I really enjoyed the opening I attended. After looking around, we stayed in the bar which also doubled up as the packing and sales area. The staff there seemed busy all night. There was a good flow of Prosecco which is rare for these kind of things. They didn’t spare any expenses. We stayed until the end and it was very busy the whole time. It was my first visit although it won’t be my last.

As a fine artist and illustrator I was extremely impressed with this all encompassing event. A lot of artists were selling, some extremely well. I think this can lead to exaggerated responses, re: the one star reviews. I’m pretty sure that nobody who was successful or sold their art has complained or posted anything negative here! That says it all.

Ignore the negative reviews! Here’s proof you can’t please everyone, even when you’re doing everything right.

The ‘Art World’ has always seemed inaccessible, although this event was the perfect opportunity to meet artists and buy directly. I had no idea that galleries took 50% of the money and massively inflate the prices in the process.

I’d seen adverts for this event online over the years so me and a friend finally decided to visit. We were really impressed and have recommended it to a couple of artists we know.

P.S. What a spectacular venue.

I have attended this fair over the last 18 years and it’s always been great, although this year was the best by far.

It was extremely busy throughout with great overall sales happening through the private view and weekend.

The staff are definitely worth a mention as they did an exceptional job.

It comes highly recommended.

Buying and selling directly, without gallery commissions was an innovative move from Untitled back in 2007. I’m pretty sure there were no other direct artist to buyer fairs or events of this standard when it was founded. I think that’s because it was set up by an artist.

I was at the first one and I’ve been back multiple times since, so no doubt I’ll see you at the next one!

I’m very grateful for all your quick and comprehensive replies. They helped me so much with preparations in the lead-up. I found this to be one of the best art shows I’ve been to yet, such a vast variety of textiles and artists. Well done to the organisers all the staff were extremely helpful. The layout was done perfectly. And I spoke one on one to so many amazing artists which was really lovely

ARTISTS- DO NOT DO THIS ART FAIR.
I was led to believe there would be a lot of professional art buyers and gallery owners attending. There was not. Minimal marketing- the instagram feed was the same photo posted once a day. All artists posts were never once reposted. Not a curated show, there were some brilliant artists, there was also a lot of hobbyists. The team of staff were helpful until I asked for assistance when packing down. I was told they weren't allowed to handle the artworks- even though I had seen them handling lots of artworks to and from the storage area all weekend (which of course was an added cost). Other 'optional' charges included extra lighting , power sockets, website inclusion etc. It felt like a money making venture, not a considered opportunity for artists.

It was a very busy turn out when I attended. All the spaces were sold out. There was a wide range of talent from obvious professionals to first time exhibitors. Great atmosphere and got to meet and chat with so many other artists. I saw paintings sold in the short time I was there. Robert the organiser was always around checking everything was running smoothly. Which is was. Will definitely return next year.

First time exhibiting at this event. Will never do it again. Lack of advertising, sheer lack of promotion, lack of clear communication, unorganised and chaotic set up, not value for money at all. Once he has your money, you the artist do not matter and nor does your art. No floor plan or list of artists as visitors enter, so unprofessional. No doubt I will receive the same 'copy and paste' reply like everyone else who felt the same. Footfall was enticed by free prosecco, perhaps that money should've been spent on actually promoting the event to art buyer, collectors and galleries. Such a shame as venue and location have great potential. Do not recommend it to other artists and will not be exhibiting with them again.
