A lovely challenge
Another wonderful challenge organized by Unison with Sue Kerrigan-Harris. I could not do it on the scheduled days but only the following week, and everything was fine: the files and videos were accessible; of course I could not ask a question "live" during the days of the challenge, but actually there was no need: Sue had already answered lots of questions, I just had to listen to the videos! I did learn new tools for painting realistic furry animals, which was the point of the challenge and my aim in taking part -- full success also on that.

Review of Bengal Kitten 5-day Pastel Challenge
Loved the challenge, and the daily communications and Q&A sessions. The instructor was very skilled, but also was very good at breaking things down into manageable steps and handling questions and concerns that came up. Loved that there was a daily video, lots of interaction on the FB page, and Q&A sessions as well as occasional special videos. Thank you Sue Kerrigan Harris and Unison!
Bengal kitten challenge
I have just completed a five day Unison Pastel challenge with Sue Kerrigan-Harris and have really enjoyed learning more about pastels and also the techniques to create a picture of a Bengal kitten. I can thoroughly recommend these challenges to anyone who wants to advance and learn more about working with pastel.
Fun yet challenging
This was my second five day challenge put on by Unison, the first one was the Nina Squire one a few months ago. Both were excellent free learning opportunities. This recent one of the bengal Kitten was fun, but I found the videos too fast and perhaps too heavily edited. Luckily the included worksheets were there as backup. Also, I was frustrated by the sheer number of colours used, referred to only by their Unison numbers. Aside from those minor details, I enjoyed the opportunity and even my outcome. I’d recommend this a a learning format for anyone, novice or experienced. There’s always something to be learned.
An excellent on line challenge
An excellent on line challenge, very well put together and motivating, excellent guidance from Sue and some great tips loved the opportunity to take part...a happy pasteler
Great challenge
Great challenge! Lovely Bengali kitten as a topic. Fantastic tutor, well broken down steps with written & video instructions as well as opportunity to ask questions. Everything available for longer than the 5 days so able to work at one pace. Well organised thanks to the team at Unison.
Absolutely Brilliant!
My first challenge event with Unison and I hope it won't be the last! It was excellent, the communication was great, the Facebook group was managed well and the teaching from Sue Kerrigan-Harris absolutely first class. I learned more than I expected and was delighted with my final painting. Thank you!
I have trouble accessing Facebook
I have trouble accessing Facebook. It often won’t let me in. I couldn’t print, sometimes I couldn’t access the videos.
Also a color chart for the pencils would have helped me. I consider myself to be a hobbyist beginner and thus need a little more than the more experienced person.
This was my first challenge but I hope I can continue to do more.
I have had an in person class with Lisa Ober. The instructor for this challenge was pretty good.
Fabulous workshop
I recently did a 5 day workshop with Sue and Unison pastels and it was so informative and fun. I really enjoyed the challenge and got to see many more people from around the worlds work too. Loved it!
Another great free event organised by Unison Pastels
Another great free event organised by Unison Pastels. I am very new to Pastels and this was my 3rd event, one paid for and two free. It was very informative and gave me some new techniques to work on. I have purchased more Soft Pastels to help me.

I was very impressed with the challenge and the videos from Sue. I don't have any Unison pastels but intend to save up for them. Thanks to Sue and Unison.

Bengal kitten
Thank you to Sue Kerrigan-Harris and Unison for the fantastic Bengal kitten 5 day challenge. I struggled in places but was delighted with my end result, I learned loads and have come away more confident to step outside my comfort zone. The information provided along with Sue's brilliant teaching skills enabled me to produce a lovely painting for which I am grateful...thank you once again I love these 5 day challenges.

Loved the Unison Challenge
Loved the Unison Challenge - the 3rd one I have done. Beautiful subject to paint, and lots of useful information provided on a dedicated group page. The Q&A sessions are really useful, and love the videos as I can watch them several times to be sure I know what to do. A great learning experience amongst a group of friendly artists of all abilities.
Lioness online tutorial
Wonderful time taking part in Emma's lioness tutorial! It was amazing to see how much I could achieve in four hours! Super organisation from Unison as always! Bravo!
