Holiday lets in Scotland only. My family have booked with Unique Cottages many times and everything has always gone smoothly from start to finish. Even in covid time, satisfactory adaptations to the process were made and communication extremely good. A reliable and safe business.

Second time booking with Unique cottages and second time of not being disappointed. Loch Head cottage was just lovely and fulfilled ours and our dogs needs. Kintyre Peninsula certainly didn't disappoint either, beautiful spot. Great customer service from this company who have now become our go to for booking trips away with the dogs.

A further year as a client of Unique Cottage Holidays and it has been a very positive experience once again.
I have had an excellent occupation rate for my short let cottages as a result of being on the UCH platform. The website is easy for guests and owners alike to navigate, the guests have praise for the booking team and the ease of booking. I have found the advice on rental pricing to be excellent - perfectly pitched for the guests who book to stay at the cottages. Crucially, if any difficulties occur at any stage in the booking process or once the guests are staying in the cottages, the Unique team are always on hand to advise and support the owners as well as the guests. From the beginning of our working relationship, UCH have acted as a fully professional team and combined with their friendly and attentive approach, I am always conscious of my business being held in competent hands by the team who work at Unique Cottage Holidays.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our holiday. Unique Cottages were very efficient and refunded the cost of the holiday as soon as I sent in the documentation and their communication was very good. I am hoping to book again next year with them they have lovely selection of cottages.

Lovely location, great walks, comfortable cottage.
Although Unique did mention in the small print that no bedding and towels were supplied they may need to put some emphasis on it as we after many years of holidaying have never had to bring ours. Fortunately we had freshly laundered furniture throws for the first night and went to Fort William the next day to purchase bedding and towels.
Unique also take a housekeeping deposit and there are a long list of dos and don’ts to ensure that deposit is returned. We always leave a cottage clean and tidy and had no worries here but when you rely on the previous occupant to do the house keeping standards are not always adhered to. Our only issues were that some of the cooking utensils needed washing and there is a distinctive fusty smell in the bedroom, something that has been mentioned in a previous review on here.
More emphasis needs to be placed on the discoloured water. Also too many requests for further donations for logs or wi fi. We didn’t use our log allowance but we didn’t get refunded for it. What I am saying is that if the customer is paying a high end price don’t nitpick. We expected the mighty midge but didn’t expect such a virulent population of ticks as well so be prepared if you are a dog owner. Apart from that it was good.

Thanks to Unique for replying to the two issues which I blamed myself for not noticing. Like I say it’s pretty rare to have to bring bedding and linen. I am also glad that they have taken on board my suggestions on independent housekeeping rather than relying too heavily on the previous occupants cleanliness.

Auchtertyre House
Wow! What a beautiful property,10 of us stayed in March 2025 for 2 weeks . This Property has everything you could want or need, great location, stunning views, privacy, ample parking and plenty room for split families or two groups as house has lots of different areas to it. Also a downstairs bedroom which was fantastic as on of our party we’re unable to do stairs. Nearly all with en suites.
We had the most amazing time exploring around the house with waterfalls and a stream running down the side of the property which my grown children swan in 🥶. Located in a great area with beautiful views from the extensive garden with lovely walks on your doorstep. Easy access by car to Fort William through the stunning Glencoe and also Oban.
Would absolutely recommend this Property.

First discovered Unique Cottages back in December 2023 when I booked my first holiday cottage with them. I had such an amazing service that it’s the only website I now use for future holidays in Scotland. Not only do the holiday lets tick all the boxes for what I look for in my holiday, I also find the customer service excellent- prompt and incredibly helpful if I have any questions. I’m very fortunate to have found this company and highly recommend them to anyone looking for dog friendly accommodation in Scotland.

Great selection of quality holiday cottages.

Absolutely wonderful late booked self catering holiday in North Western Scotland. Unique Cottages has a superb website giving excellent accurate information about property, environment and additional helpful information. The pricing structure is transparent and availability for chosen dates. easily obvious.
Booking was smooth, confirmation rapidly sent out and safety deposit quickly returned after the holiday.

This company is efficient and friendly. We have stayed in several of their properties, all were good quality.

We enjoyed a great week in the Dunedin Cottage at Lower Largo. It was an ideal location right down by the harbour for walking the Fife Coastal Path, loads of golf courses and other attractions near by, including the options of a short ride to St Andrews or a train ride to Edinburgh from Leven. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and well stocked with all the necessary amenities. Hope to return next year.
