Scam

Scam.
I paid insurance for my whole work life and now get laid off. I applied with all documents but they delay (and still not) to pay.

they deserve zero stars and act like…

they deserve zero stars and act like criminäl, dishonest disgusting people. I registered to this service to backup my future in case of getting unemployed and then lived the worst case scenario of being diagnosed with cancer and getting unemployed next month. I am non-EU citizen so with no job I had no backup to stay in sweden, sadly I had to leave the country unemployed and with cancer. I called SEVERAL TIMES to their customer support to CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION. Finally, one customer sales agent pick up the phone and tells me as a person with no personal-number I have to send a PHYSICAL LETTER with my signature to their offices in the north of sweden to request my unsubscription, I DID IT BEFORE LEAVING sweden. Then, my ex landlady makes international call to my country to tell me she keep receiving bills on my name to pay akassan. They sent a letter reply after I left sweden saying they do not accept my unsubscription and kept generating bills and finally they threatened my ex-landlady to report me with the police. To me, a cancer patient who put all papers in order, called and sent form and petition letter explaining also I was leaving sweden, so if they need to contact me they do it through e-mail. They did not follow their own rules, they are unable to read and understand. They denied my rights to unsubscribe to the service, just like scammers do. They should be closed and refund me.

It is sad how company doesn't think…

It is sad how company doesn't think about people's life's. I'm in debt because of this kassa taking over a month to look at my case. A mistake was made and they taking so long to sort it out. It is sad and I am thinking of changing it. Anyone who is thinking about this kassa look somewhere else.

Worst unemployment service

Worst unemployment service. They think they can take our money and when we r in need then they can make lame excuses. I will opt out from this stupid union. Good for nothing. No stars at all. They ate my money for years only to not help in need. Wow. 🤬😠

Run away

I'm running away. I'm moving from Unionensakassa they are a joke. Remeber you can swap insurance company and keep your subscription days. The waiting time is two months, then they ask you for papers which you supply (nothing wrong at all, the arbetsgivarintyg comes automatically to their system), then you wait a couple of weeks. Then they ask you a question, and it takes another two weeks... and so on until you find work, and you get 0 kr out of this insurance. Again nothing wrong in my papers , they just use time to their advantage

Avoid if English speaker

I will request international IT workers to stay away from the Unionenakassan. The Unioenen is smart and have English speaking agents to trap you into believing that they will help and you can enlist with their Akassan. They ask for a monthly payment of between 250-350 SEK and then more to Akassan.
After paying for 16 years, for the first time I requested help for just 3 months of gap in my work, they refused me.

I work with my own company and had verified if my insurance will cover, they had said yes.

The Akassan is a bigger fraud of the two. If they realize you don't speak good Swedish, they assign non-Swedish case workers who will request documents after documents. I wasted 4 months chasing, translating and supporting them for zero outcome.

Then the Unionen will offer a lawyer saying that you need to keep your membership. You say for a few more months, they lawyer will return saying he cannot help.
16 years of investment for no help!

This was the most disappointing…

This was the most disappointing customer service experience I've ever had. I've never encountered such impolite support staff. It's not advisable to spend your money on this company; they are severely lacking in all aspects. Their approach seems to be consistently geared towards alienating customers, despite their role in ensuring salaries. They appear to go out of their way to avoid payouts, employing deceptive tactics and unpleasant interactions, leaving you feeling as though they are doing you a favor. This company should not be in business.

100% Useless

Give 1 star as cant give zero, rude unprofessional. They send me a letter a month after my days were up which has caused me problems i wont go into. So I called 1 min past 9 am got through to someone who wouldnt let me finish talking then eventually said she would put me through to a handler then Hung up the phone. I called back 9.16am then said they were busy and the phone hangs up...no que just call later. I have done this many times in the past then you cant get through the 1hr they open. .So the cycle repeatsthe next day. I made an official complaint before but they dont have a complaints dept!!! Just send a message they said, its so funny you cry. Do not Do not Do not sign up to unionsakassa bunch of useless i×€%/_%.

Zero service

I write this review because I´m desperate to this point. It´s being already more than two months since I became unemployed so I applied to get my a-kassa. They not just keep asking for documents, but they let weeks going in between. But the worst for me it´s, they have the telephone open to the customers, for the personal cases questions just for 1 hour a day, insane. And when they even pick up the phone or reply a text message (that it takes forever) they do it in a really rude way, with zero customer service and the most important, zero EMPATHY. So of course I am already looking to change a-kassa.
Unionens a-kassa its an insult and a shame towards the human being and his rights.

unreasonably long processing times

Extremely long process times, and unhelpful staff. I was let go from my Job in July. Its now almost September,and i have a new job, yet they havent paid me for the period i have been unemployed. If i didnt have a proper buffer account(everyone should, but life happens and not everyone does) i would have had a real problem with cashflow. I strongly do not reccomend unionen akassa to anyone looking for proper income insurance. Its not a safety net.

This is the worse place I've ever…

This is the worse place I've ever dealed with. Totally unprofessional, careless and suspicious. Holding up my payments because they misunderstood information from arbetsförmedlingen and i had to pay for that. I literally had to fight with them in chat to get my own money! Incredible! This is the first time in my life i was without the job for less than 5 month and such a humiliation! For the entire period i was payed twice! The rest of the time i was just trying to prove them that the reason they frozen my payments is actually NOT my fault:( Happily i am employed again and will NEVER colaborate with Unionen! It doesn't cost my nerves. If i could give them 0, i would! I really hope that some higher authorities read theese reviews and "take care" of that scammers. Wish them to collapse asap!

I have been a member for over a year…

I have been a member for over a year now and I have recently become unemployed, though it will be for a brief period.

They accuse me of not being active enough in my job hunt, and when I told them I took a very brief trip overseas to look after a sick relative, and then I got Covid so I was a bit sick for a few days, they threaten to ask me to pay them back one week's payment.

I have told them that even despite these upsetting events I did search and apply for jobs and even did two interviews.

This is how they look after loyal members? Horrible!

Dear Unionens Akassan employees

Dear Unionens Akassan employees! I I really hope that 1000 sek that you took out of my monthly 4000 sek you will spend on your medicine! People, Stay away from these Unionesakassan heartless monsters. Those Unionensakassan people will make your life a nightmare, claiming every single krona from you jobless income no matter how small it is. They sneak and fish out every possible information and speculate on my and other people words, issue double facturas on the same case that is a total fraud. Plus unfriendly, cold customer service, that never calls, hides information, asking the same questions many times, has extremely user unfriendly home website interface that constantly cant load at once etc... On the top of all, they prohibit to combine Swedish language part time studies of max 50% along with receiving money from them, motivating after their calculations that it makes more than parttime and thus, it distracts you from looking for a job. How to get a job in Sweden and integrate into society and finally escape this hell burocratic organisation without a Swedish language? All in all, get away asap from this hell or think twice before becoming a member. Join a different one, it might be not much better, but at least you spare yourselves many sleepless nights, stress and depression.

Treated like a criminal of sorts

Unfortunately due to covid I was made redundant and so have applied for social compensation while I look for more work.

So far in only 3 weeks I have felt the system is aggressive in the like that I am a criminal abusing the system.

I've dealt with rude and unfriendly support staff before but these folks take the award.

Sweden, you are not as progressive and social as you like to think.
