Disgusting customer service
There store has always been great but the Derby branch as of the 14th of October 2025 it has became disgusting. The lady with black hair who is attending to customers has an attitude that can send you away for good. It’s like she is being forced to work. She isn’t polite at all and does not help you find the correct uniform for your child like how others do. I don’t think l will ever go back in there as long as she is the one to attend me. Was really traumatised by her service.

Received wrong order and wont resolve issue
I ordered my sons PE Tshirt in July ready for September. I ordered the correct size 9-10 years but was sent an 11-12 years size with the wrong tag on it. I have requested for this to be resolved to be told that as it’s passed the 28 days of return they cant do anything about it even though the Tshirt has not been worn and I still have the tag! How is your error my problem now? My son has to wear his old PE Tshirt because of your error? How is that acceptable?
Quality not great.
Ordered a sweatshirt and name tags for my boy starting reception.
Ordering process itself was absolutely fine, delivery was great and arrived far quicker than expected or estimated.
The iron on name tags work perfectly and so far after 2 weeks back at school are staying put.
I do however have a major issue with the quality of the sweatshirt. After being worn for 4 days and washed twice (warm days so not worn all day) it has already started to bobble.
He's also worn an unbranded supermarket sweatshirt (£4 for a pack of 2) for 4 days this week, again worn twice and there is not one sign of bobbling.
Hoping the quality improves before it becomes compulsory for him to wear sweatshirts with logos.

I took my son to get his new school uniform
I took my reluctant son to get his new school uniform, which I dreaded nearly as much as he did. Having put it off all holidays I finally bit the bullet today. We were in the queue for a while, but once we got into the store the assistant was charming, she just set to, found everything we needed, put me and more importantly my son at ease. I can't praise the experience enough, I'm not good on the computer so I have to go in person. All my worries melted away, the way he grows I can see regular visits in the future, but would not hesitate to repeat the process and recommend the service to other parents.

Having left my childrens uniform far to late really, I was amazed that the staff at the Uniform Direct store were still very bright and lively, we did have a bit of a wait to be served but then we didn't need to worry, the lady was so helpful, she knew exactly what we needed and her experience showed as she was spot on in her sizing. I would recommend this company, as they couldn't have made our visit any more pleasant than it was, excellent service.
Worst shopping experience ever
Worst shopping experience ever , qued for over an hour to then Queue for another 40 mins instore, common sense and working in a proactive way to save time and serve people in a timely manner are not a priority neither is customer service .
Saw people Que for an hour to be told they didn’t have the school items that were needed. Nowhere for children to try on clothes which is ridiculous kids were having to try on in front of 40 people . Absolutely soul destroying never want to step in that shop again. How a store runs like this and is still operating is beyond me could make the whole process a lot quicker and streamlined with very little effort.
To add to this , I was forced to refund an item that I had purchased online and then rebuy the product that I needed, hardly ideal with the cost of school uniform not quite sure why an item ordered online can not be exchanged to a different size ???
Was told that the refund would take upto 3-5 working days to be put back into my account
It’s now 10 days later 7 working days and still no refund still do not have an explanation to this have contacted via email and also phoned and refund still not issued .
After calling yesterday I was advised that this would be chased and I would receive an email I have yet to receive this email ?
Called again today and still unsure as to why refund hasn’t been issued and still not given a timeframe of when this should happen ??????
Shocking service how many other parents have been left in this position in the current climate because this business is ran so poorly??
