Avoid this company !!

Would avoid this company at all cost!! My poor grandad required a stairlift after coming home from hospital. He was diagnosed as terminally ill, and having very limited mobility, he sought to have a stairlift fitted as soon as possible. Within a couple of months of the stair lift being fitted, my grandad’s health rapidly declined, and he was placed in Trinity Hospice for end of life care, and so the stair lift became surplus to requirement. In the knowledge that my grandad wouldn’t be returning home, my nan requested that the stairlift be taken away.

So after paying £4,000 for a REFURBISHED (not even new) stairlift, they sent one man to remove the stairlift, which he managed to achieve within an hour or so. They only offered my nan £850 back out of the £4000 and refused to give her any more of her money back. To make matters worse, because this stairlift was from Unicorn, no one else would have taken it, and so this was my nanny’s only option. As a result, Unicorn have unjustly robbed my nanna and grandad of £3150 pounds, with their second hand stairlift only being in their home for a few months. They completely took advantage of an elderly couple; already in a lot of distress due to their circumstances, and this has only added to their difficulties. With only moments left of my grandads life, this was the last thing my nan and family needed.  We certainly didn’t expect the full amount back, but to loose £3150 over a matter of months is disgusting, especially since the stair lift was barely used by my grandad.

These actions speak of the heart behind this company. They are in it to make big profits from the vulnerable, with little to no concern for their elderly clientele. I don’t recommend this company to anyone.
