Customer service is responsive.

I followed the signing up protocol and gave my bank account details but afterwards I asked for a refund - which was granted - as I was unable to use the service as I planned. Customer service was responsive which was appreciated.

Dear J P,

We have asked you to provide your full name or email address to Trustpilot so we can verify that you are an account holder and that the information you have included within your review accurately reflects your experience of our service which you have declined to do.

Our service is made available to individuals residing in the UK, we note that your review has been made from a Trustpilot account located within the Seychelles, we believe that the UK credit bureau is therefore unable to identify you, and your account with UK Credit Ratings has been cancelled.

We are happy to investigate further and would therefore like to invite you to contact our Customer Support manager directly (https://ukcreditratings.com/credit/contact) who will be happy to provide their full assistance in relation to the comments you have made within your recent review.

Our website clearly describes the service we offer, the initial free trial period and subscription costs thereafter at the point of sign up.

All customers must provide their personal information, including their bank details, and positively agree to the terms of our service through a series of tick boxes prior to their application being accepted and processed.

These details are further reiterated within a series of emails that we send to every customer at the very start of their free trial, providing a 14-day window in which to fully use the service and it’s benefits without limitation, and cancel without charge should the service not meet their expectations.

We are here to help and actively encourage you to contact our Customer Support manager to address any aspect of the service you feel did not meet with your expectations.

Do not log in

Do not log in — you won’t even realize when you’re signing up for a monthly subscription of £24.99. I contacted the company for a refund, and during the review process, they told me not to report it as fraud to the bank because it would take longer. Then, around 24 hours later, they replied saying I wouldn't get a refund because I had supposedly accepted the subscription — even though I never received any clear information saying that monthly payments would be taken. Of course, I have reported the issue to my bank.

Read this if you want a subscription refund

Like many I fell for the subscription charge which I didn’t consider was made adequately clear. After speaking to an agent my subscription was quickly cancelled but a refund was declined.

I wrote the following email which quickly resulted in a change of heart and I was promptly refunded. You are welcome to use the template if you are in a similar position.

Dear sir,

I have been inadvertently subscribed to your service. I have no doubt you can evidence terms an conditions in small print, but I do not consider that your communication and promotion meets the FCA expectation of being 'clear, fair and not misleading'. The assertion is supported by the number of complaints you receive on Trustpilot for the same reason. On this basis I request a refund of the two payments already deducted totalling £26.45.

If you do not agree to this I will take the matter to the FCA and the ICO as well as requesting a chargeback claim via my bank but I hope this can be resolved without necessitating such action.

Faithfully

AVOID! BEWARE! - Potential subscription trap!

AVOID! BEWARE! - ! Potential subscription trap!
I signed up for a credit file report. Nominal fee charged. Apparently I had also signed up to a free trial of 14 days and a recurring monthly subscription fee of £24.95! Paid two installments, then on reviewing my card statements requested a refund as I had NOT used the service further. They insisted I had signed up and there T&Cs were disclosed. On explaining this I was told no refund would be forthcoming as I had ACESS to the service, clearly a caveat emptor response! Card company unable to assist with refund but have stopped any recurring charges.

Applied for some loans recently and A…

Applied for some loans recently and A link came up half way through the Application for a help and Advice if the loan was unsuccessful I clicked NO To not receive This and continued my Loan Application on which I had to enter bank details
Today I received an email confirming a £24.95 monthly DD for this Service ( Which I said NO To ) To the bank I entered BUT DID NOT ASK FOR HELP
On calling the Ignorant company staff was advised I did sign up for it and I did not understand what I was doing And That I did not even Apply for a loan I only applied for This Useless Not Needed Service
PLEASE BEWARE these companies along with Online Companies just sneak in a small box or Link that seems to look like everything else you are completing and you end up with this
ALSO
Until Today I did not receive any other correspondence or emails confirming I had signed for this service so Very strange that the first contact After ticking NO is my first DD updates For Payment
BEWARE
They maybe registered but the way money can be obtained is not always well intended

Sent an email to cancel

Sent an email to cancel. They ignored it under guise of they haven't received it. Have now tried to do so again. There is no option online to cancel a membership. They've taken £50+ from me for zero services. I haven't used them.

On top of this there appear to be a number of fake reviews on this site. They are a SCAM.

I did not agree to the 14 day trial…

I did not agree to the 14 day trial period and tried to cancel it. There were no options to cancel the DD.
I have had £24.00 taken out of my bank account. I never received anything from them in the form of any advice over the trial period and have been charged for not receiving anything. It felt like l had been scammed. I read other reviews which were appalling as other people were having the same problem as myself.
Some people managed to cancel the DD before it went out of their bank account l was not so lucky.
I have now managed to cancel the DD and would like a refund.

SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS

I apparently signed up for the 2 week trial, and was charged three months of £24.95 before I realised. The only thing I was aware of signing up for was a one-off fee of £1.50. I had received ZERO emails: no initial welcome email, nor a reminder the free trial was ending, nor any of the weekly emails I was apparently subscribed to, and yes I do check my junk folder.

I was sent around the houses, when requesting a refund. My emails were ignored. Eventually I did get a refund however, which I am grateful for, but I nearly gave up.

I am a very careful person with free trials. I did not want or need their service and even if I did, would not have been interested in a free trial for only 2 weeks, followed by such high monthly payments. I actually believed the £1.50 I agreed to was with a different company! I was provided with three credit ratings companies to check (as advised by vodafone) and UKcreditratings was not one of them. I don't know how they did it, but they must have had some sort of pop up or something that redirected me to them.

I was very confused about what happened, but upon looking at other reviews of them, I can see that mine is a common experience. These are SCAMMERS. AVOID.

PS if you are struggling to get a refund, contact your credit card or bank, and set up a dispute.

DON’T USE THE SERVICE!

They don’t tell you they are free trial only when creating accounts. They didn’t send a email to you about the subscription. They can only cancel by call/email/live chat.
I’m not sure they will cancel and refund correctly, as I just check my bank account and found out they collecting a bill that I can’t recognise and they are interrupting my payment! And after checked, their website says they provide 14 days free trial which I don’t know and they will automatically change to paid membership, which I don’t knows before and didn’t got charges for over 2 months. While I created the account they didn’t say anything and I can’t select any membership I want and says it free!

DON’T USE THE SERVICE!
