The surprised

It allows you to pay by PayPal which most people have. When selling you'll be "surprised" how many people do view your items because you think most people go to the big names. To me is like shopping at an independent shop. Of course you won't find everything there but you never know.

stuck in the mud?

As stamp collector, I'm a potential buyer: I joined, attracted by eBid seeming to be an alternative to eBay and Delcampe. Over a few years I have bought very little - the reason: the same tired items listed by the same sellers time and again. Those items clearly are not selling. That is a reflection on the volume and quality on offer. The website is fair enough, but the stock reminds me of a faded little corner clothes shop with window displays that haven't changed for years. Very sad.

Faulty item received and emails ignored

Ordered some eye drops via a seller GeeWizz via eBid.
Unfortunately a faulty items were sent, already opened and nearly empty and did not work.
Contacted seller several times and just ignored, then contacted eBid support and they also just ignored my emails.
My advice is that it may seem cheaper but its not worth the hassle, continue with ebay and amazon. Will never use again.

Started in 1999 - stayed in 1999! Feel Duped.

Places itself as an ebay alternative.
However the reality is PRETTY SHOCKING.

ADMINS/ OWNERS: MIA
NO marketing - do it yourself
NO support at all - ask the forum. Occasional responses just send a link to an often outdated FAQ page.
NO app
ADS everywhere

Looks spammy and I guess that's why the most frequent question that pops up on searches is " is ebid a scam".

Says it started in 1999 and it feels like it stayed in 1999!

Extremely backward and un-intuitive to use.

Feel slightly duped to be honest. I doubt we'll get our membership fee back.

Seem ok for an ancient community of extremely niche things like stamps and postcards that sell for pennies. I mean they say stuff like "I just got my first smartphone" in 2025.

NOT A REAL EBAY ALTERNATIVE.

So far so good

So far so good. I think the main issue is that more people need to discover it ! So much cheaper to sell here than on ebay and ebay certainly needs some competition :)

User name: Hadiahmadi...

If anyone is drop shipper and if you are thinking about selling on "ebid" don't bother they will lock you out from your listings and ask so much documents and receipts some of us don't have no receipts to provide because when customer orders then you have to pay the supplier and then supplier provide the receipts

my experience with "Ebid" was very very terrible.. I had to close my account after a week later

Trustworthy company

I ordered an item from ebid as the price was much better than anywhere else. I've never heard of ebid before so was a bit skeptical but ebid surprised me nicely. They kept me well informed of every step of the process. From the payment to the delivery. I was messeged when the item was shipped and given a tracking number. The delivery was quick and the item was as described. A happy customer here.

eBid's customer support is incredible

eBid's customer support is incredible, they were able to answer all of my questions perfectly and in detail. It's a great marketplace to buy and sell. Nothing but a great and pleasant experience so far. I highly recommend this site for both buyers and sellers. Great prices and lots of listings on there in all sorts of categories.

1845 Victoria crown

I recently bought a Victoria crown from Nottingham coins. They kept me well informed and it arrived very quickly. Great value for the price! It's in good collectable condition and very reasonably priced. I'm pleased with this one!

I have had a Seller+ account with Ebid…

I have had a Seller+ account with Ebid since 24th October 2021 after being intimidated with account suspension and closure from Ebay. I have over 860 items imported from Ebay but I have never sold a single item, to date, on Ebid. Customers service does not exist. Your have to rely on Ebid forums to try and resolve your technical issues or problems. Importing your feedbacks from Ebay seem unachievable. I have tried editing my eBay profile and inserting a code from Ebid etc, nothing seems to be working.

With regards to Ebid's interface, there's just too much or a clutter of information on the site. As a beginner to the site, I was thrown into a maze of confusion. I struggled to aquaint myself with the site. A user interface should be very easy to understand and very easy to use.

Some functions on the site are not working at the moment. I wanted to buy something on the site to up my feedback. I contacted a seller on Ebid but the site didn't have a drop down menu available for me to select my item from, i.e the length or specification. Eventually, I had to look for the item else where.

What is impressive with Ebid is when you first import your listing to the site from another site, it categories your listing for you.

Though I haven't sold anything on Ebid yet, I see my listing on Ebid as a backup for my listing on Ebay. Should Ebay suspension my account in future, I don't have to worry about redoing all my listing again on a new site. It's about the 'portability' of my listing.

I believe with time, Ebid will gradually make the necessary modifications to improve services on the site.

I real alternative to eBay

I real alternative to eBay only been selling for a few weeks already sold 15 Items I signed up for their lifetime subscription and only pay 2% commission and free unlimited listing I have transferred all my listings from eBay to eBid
eBay can’t keep treating customers like this or they won’t have any left. It might be the biggest at the moment but no one or no company stays on top for ever. Many a company have fallen by the wayside by thinking they are too big to fail

A great site to list and sell

A great site to list and sell, OK so they keep their fees low by cutting back on advertising, but you have the option to self advertise on the social.
Sales can be on and off but over 12 years I have more than saved my seller+ life time fee so now more of my sales goes in to my pocket.
Is it a problem free site ?? NO. But I have full control of my auctions

I like that they do a lifetime subscriptions

I like that they do a lifetime subscription but to be honest it's not getting a fraction of the traffic that other big selling sites get so nothing sells, i hope in time it gets more popular to make my lifetime sub worth it.

Awful doesn't cover it

Awful doesn't cover it. Signed up for a lifetime subscription in 2005, sold one thing in the early days and nothing since.
I am a business seller, wish I had never bothered. I have listings on there at the moment and if I manage to ever sell anything I will have a party as it would be such a rare event. Ebid don't advertise they are there as an ebay alternative, if they did and gained the traffic needed then it might just work. At the moment it's a cash cow for people like me who are fed up with ebay and are looking for viable alternatives, well let me tell you, ebid is not a viable alternative, save your money and use ecrater, bonanza, facebook market place, etc
Ebid sellers = many, ebid buyers = zero
