Very fast service

Some time ago I set-up a regular standing order payments to a registered charity called 'The UK German Shepherd Rescue Angels' Charity Number 1160745 which, at the time, seemed to be doing good work. My last payment was returned unpaid and when I checked the Charity Register I found that the charity had never submitted a single financial report and was overdue by 1466 days. Further research showed that the Charity Commission had issued an Official Warning to the charity in 2023 for failure to submit financial reports for 5 consecutive years. As far as I can see, this is the same organization as the UK German Shepherd Rescue but under a slightly different name. I neither criticize nor endorse the UK German Shepherd Rescue as I have never used it (hence three stars) but it is important to understand that it is not a registered charity. Presumably the trustees of the UK German Shepherd Rescue Angels' also run the unregistered UK German Shepherd Rescue so it would restore trust if the problems with the registered charity were properly resolved. Reputable dog rescues do excellent work and we should all value their committment but a good reputation is vital for charitable funding and personally I only donate to registered charities.

Suzanna syers, you have been gravely misslead from the person that you got your puppy from, exactly the same way I was misslead. I had a verbal contract with the person you got the pup from the contract took place in Scotland where a verbal contract is legally binding. I am currently working with the sspca after providing them with proof that I am not a backyard kitchen breeder as you put it. All my pups were rehomed with their microchip done first injection done, second injection paid for, full vet health check and supplied with one week's worth of food. All puppies were housed on the basis that if at any point in that dog's life that couldn't manage it I would take it back regardless of temperament as I am a very well versed dog trainer. She knew that and wouldn't give me the pup back in case I thought it was thin and under fed..... She only gave roxi to you to spite me after I blocked her trying to house her on a puppy breeding contract (I have proof of that). I can provide proof of all my claims and will never let this go as I am a very responsible breeder. I know exactly where every other one of my pups is that I homed with families. I do not want her back to sell her as I have a house already lined up for her on the understanding they donate 500kg of raw food (roughly £700) to local independent shelters. I am not the bad person here and will continue to work with the sspca who are working with the RSPCA to get roxi home safely. All my pups also come with a lifetime of free YES FREE NO CHARGE lead walking and reactivity training. I can provide proof for 3 that I have already been true to my word and taught how to walk correctly to a loose heel. And I can provide proof for one who had reactivity issues. I would much rather work with you than against you as I am relentless. As a show of good faith I'll remove my trust pilot review and hope you will choose to talk with me instead of believing lies. I've believed her lies as well I know how convincing they are........

I reviewed this rescue back in 2020 after my own awful experience in 2014 at the hands of the woman fronting this so called charity. There are some poor reviews on here that I believe are genuine, there may also be a handful of people who genuinely had a good experience….but I ask you….can you believe that 13 people left a 5 star review on the same day in 2021??? Maybe if you are going to try to boost the ratings with false reviews be a little more clever about it. I’m not convinced. My poor review stands even though it seems to have disappeared along with several others that also reviewed this dreadful rescue as honest people who have genuinely had terrible experiences. It is clear not much has changed in the 9 years since my poor treatment at the hands of the trustee which is why I am now leaving another review. The honest reviews should not be allowed to be removed and false reviews take their place as it makes a mockery of why Trustpilot exists in the first place.

Am concerned that they import puppies for "rescue", rather than support the local Romanian rescue facilities, maybe donate to educate on pet ownership & responsibility, and stopping puppy farms. Also, for a "charity", they have rather a lot of cash reserves. Is the "charity" badge a tax avoidance scam. They aren't registered.

Suzanne and her team are angels in disguise and do the most amazing work, always putting the dogs needs first which is exactly how it should be.
I got my beautiful Christian who had been badly neglected and cruelly treated from Suzanne on 2/9/2018 and Suzanne is still here for us today as he is imminently awaiting an eye operation.
For all of you who criticise Suzanne’s approach bear in mind she is dealing day in/ day out with the trauma that these poor dogs have suffered at the hands of human beings so if she feels you are not 100% worthy of adopting one of these dogs she has so selflessly tried ‘ to put back together’ then accept that she is doing the right thing and if she is a little bit abrupt - deal with it because like me she probably loves animals more than she loves people ( family and friends being the exception of course - sometimes ☺️)

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! Tried to adopt a dog, emailed and asked me to provide proof I worked from home but I wanted some guidance around my specific circumstance, called 6 times, 2 voicemails, no answer. Finally got an email reply, not answering the questions I had previously posed. The reply was rude, aloof and unempathetic. Since I've seen the reviews here, I've checked and they ARENT a registered charity! Wont be encouraging anyone to use them again. Please be careful! Even for a scam charity it seems badly run, and pretty bad when the staff have to write reviews of their own rescue centre on here.

Our beautiful rescue GSD has been with us now for over eight years.We were meticulously vetted, our home inspected and had superb support all the way.
Our big boy had many issues but with love and perseverance and Suzanne’s guidance, we developed an immensely strong bond with him and couldn’t ever be without him as he is deeply loved.
To this day, Suzanne still keeps in touch - that’s clearly someone who adores all her rescue dogs, wants the very best for them and is always there to reach out to for advice.

I recently adopted a beautiful white German shepherd from this rescue, as they told me she is very loving and gentle. Thankyou Suzanne and Myra for making it happen. She is a wonderful dog and they matched her to me perfectly. This rescue really do care about the dogs. I have now had my dog for 9 weeks, she is perfect so loving and gentle just like my previous dog from this rescue. If you love German Shepherds check out this rescue, don't be upset if you do not get your dog at first for this rescue will only match you to a dog that suits you and your lifestyle. But they do take care that the dogs go to the best home for them and their needs.

I got the best dog. They were quite beneficial. And he asked me to give him images and video from time to time. Great service!! Thanks

An amazing rescue, that is run on the love for dogs

this rescue always puts the dogs first and work so hard .Excellent rescue I have had first hand experience in seeing what they do and how everyone pulls together to get dogs out of sticky situations working together to arrange transport.Not one bad word to say about them BRILLIANT TEAM

I have rescued 3 gsd’s from this rescue over the last 7 years. I have found them very caring, with the dogs interest foremost. They give brilliant advise during the adoption process and after. Def a rescue that cares and knows everything about this beautiful breed .

Very caring when it comes to matching the dogs into the right homes

I've had 5 dogs from this fab rescue over the years and considering taking another into my home hopefully soon

The dogs are supported by the rescue from the day they come into the rescue til the day they die meaning there is a safety net if the dog's need rehoming at any point in their new lives

UKGSR is a wonderful rescue that is professional, caring and simply amazing at what they do. I've dealt with a number of rescues over the years to adopt or foster GSD's and these guys are superb. It's all about the dogs which is exactly what it should be. They do there homework to ensure they match the best homes for each dog they re-home and work tirelessly to secure funding to help rescue and rehabilitate German Shepherds from all over the world.
