Review for UCL High School

Review for UCL High School

I strongly urge all parents not to transition their children from primary into this high school and instead consider other schools. My daughter, during her Year 6 experience here, was exposed to numerous concerning issues.

The presence of drugs and frequent disruptive behaviours among students is alarming, and unfortunately, the staff lack the necessary experience to manage and control such situations effectively. This creates an unsafe and unhealthy environment for children who are just entering secondary education.

I sincerely hope that in the future the school will gain the experience needed to establish a safe, clean, and supportive environment for students. Until then, I cannot recommend this school as a place for children to continue their education.

Neurology centre

Neurology centre - hopeless volunteers who can’t help who pass you on to security - who can’t help with only one able to speak good English. Why are these people trying to help you locate services and people in the hospital when they don’t have a clue - when you ask about seeing someone that deals with a specific thing OBVIOUSLY security don’t know. Very disappointing and unfriendly experience. Would even give an email address - - as “not allowed” these are nhs public email addresses and so why shouldn’t they be shared - most hospitals do. Absolutely shocking first impression of the neurology centre.

Very poor communication

I had a really disappointing experience with the application process. There was poor communication, and it felt like my time and effort weren't respected. My application was accidentally removed, and instead of helping me out, they took away my interview opportunity. It's really disappointing to see this kind of treatment, and I'm glad I didn't end up joining that community!

Awful service to Students waiting to hear

My daughter has been waiting to see if she has been accepted by UCL after being offered places by other Uni's. Delay after delay in being told. They are the last Uni and I understand notification has been delayed again by at least 2 months causing unneccessary stress to my daughter. Absolute awful service to students that all other Uni's get their act together and UCL are simplying failing to inform students if they have a place. Im recommending to her she choose elsewhere.

Ph.D. research completion!

I have completed my Ph.D. in Cancer Research at the Cancer Institute of University College London. Throughout my research, I had many great experiences and memories.

I believe that this university has ground-breaking research programmes that can help you become a research scientist. I understand that there are always ups and downs in a research, but you should always trust yourself.

Also, I would never have done it without the help of my graduate tutor, Ms Pippa Bark-Williams. She is a lovely person who sorted all my paperwork during my Ph.D. thesis submission and oral defence examination.

She was an inspirational person who always called me a Phoenix when I arrived to her office.

I wish time could go backward to redo all of these great achievements again :(

Architecture student year 2007-2011

Architecture student year 2007-2011! Don't chose this uni if you are a practical learner and if you can not self study! The course was completely over-enrolled meaning we did not get attention from professors , most were either forced to fail or forced to quit or take gap year or if they still remained too many for the second year the heads of first year made sure to send you off to architectural studies which is not suitable for practical learners! It is all based on self learning and self studying! The university just has made a name! It is also very theory based and not practical - I didn't feel prepared at all when it came time for my dissertation. The advisors are not allowed to help us for very long, or at all most lectures are reading from text! so you are mostly left alone for your dissertation. I would not recommend! Also racism & favouring was quite welcomed and common!

Defence Against Free Speech. So Glad you lost.

How dare you support the issues around fact and history. You can never hide this and to support the lack of truth and support your lecturers and teachers for students is disgusting. You should give a public apology and if that means you going bust because of it and not getting enough funding coming in so be it. You do not deserve to be an institution of education under any circumstances just because of truthful facts about CHINA. Go bust soon.

Disgusting way they treat job interview…

Disgusting way they treat job interview candidates. Saying you did extremely well. Invite you back for another interview, make you wait over a month, keep you hanging on, then say we don’t want to invite you back, we have found better candidates. Absolutely disgusting way they treat people and play with their lives. No respect at all.

A Masterful Experience :)

I recently completed my master's degree at University College London, and I can't express how incredibly fulfilling my time there was. From the moment I joined, I was immersed in a world of knowledge, innovation, and endless opportunities.

The professors and staff were not only experts in their fields but also genuinely passionate about teaching and supporting their students. The level of academic rigor challenged me in the best possible way, pushing me to excel and grow both personally and professionally.

The campus and facilities are top-notch, providing an ideal environment for learning and research. The diversity of the student body and the vibrant city of London itself added immeasurable value to my education.

What truly sets UCL apart is its commitment to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a global perspective. They encourage students to explore, question, and think outside the box, which has been invaluable in my career.

I am immensely grateful for my time at UCL, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this outstanding institution to anyone seeking a world-class education in an inspiring and inclusive environment.

Thank you, University College London, for an unforgettable educational journey!

Year Abroad at UCL: a dream!

Absolutely loved my experience at UCL. Spent my year abroad there and it was absolutely perfect: all the facilities, coffees, bars, and services reserved specifically for the student life = amazing.
The only thing that took me a bit by surprise was the teaching quality. I somewhat expected better from the teachers but I was not particularly challenged in my learning.
