Unfavorable terms for non residents

They claim to approve mortgages at 20%-25% down for non-residents. In fact, they offer only 40% downpayment plus, which is worse than any other bank. Avoid.

Regarding their reply below - they have not analyzed anything- it was one of my first questions regarding the product , so they are trying to manipulate from the getgo. AVOID. Deceptive marketing.

Hi,

First of all, apologies for the delayed response — we’ve recently joined Trustpilot and are catching up on previous feedback.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry that our proposal did not meet your expectations.

At UCI, all mortgage applications are assessed in line with responsible lending criteria. This means that approvals and final conditions are always subject to an individual risk analysis, which can lead to different outcomes depending on each client’s profile and circumstances.

Kind regards.

They don't reply

They don't reply. Now that the interest rates are going down I asked them to refinance it and none of their contacts, from the account manager to the generic support email ever got back to me. Very weak!

Impossible to to contact UCI as selling my property its

Trying to contact UCI as selling my property and need a certificate with outstanding mortgage balance to take to notary on the 4.12.24.
I have tried calling 3 times and they promise to call back but never do.
Emails only warrant auto response and the platform does not work correctly.
Would not recommend this company the customer service is v poor.

Terrible Terribe Terrible

Terrible. If you can avoid do so. They badger you very unpleasantly if you dont send copies of every statement immediatly but will not attend your call or call you back when you request. They give you an automated option to be attended in English and then they talk to you in perfect English saying they cannot understand you. I have been waiting for a call back for one month!!!! This morning I called, asked for an English Speaker from the automated service. I was attended in English then a minute later she told me she could not understand me AGAIN. I have had the phone put down on me, been spoken to in a very rude manner and even once was shouted at. I have now paid the mortgage off prematurely because I could not deal with the awful customer services. Minus stars if I could.

Extremely unhelpful and unpleasant.

Extremely unhelpful and unpleasant.
We are paying them a huge amount of money in interest each month for our mortgage, thousands of £s,and they are very, very unhelpful, replying late to emails and often not replying at all, not confirming receipt of our payment, and then when they reply, their attitude is extremely unhelpful.
We recently asked for help only for 2 months, as time is very tough at the moment for a lot of people, and they refused to help in any way.
We were told they were a very friendly and helpful company, but this has not been our experience lately, quite the opposite.
If I could give 0 stars or minus, I would

Extrem bad performance

Extrem bad performance. Provides you with a preindication over a high amount, and when you finally agree to the Arras, they provide you finally many worst conditions than initially projected.

From the usage of the mortgage, not according to the contract, we don't speak. They write you five days before the deed shall be sold that the amount shall be at the notary, although initially, they tell you that the money can come from any account.

Great personal service

Great personal service. Speaking to several lenders in the Barcelona area, this company was by far the most helpful and competitive.
Will recommend to others looking for a mortgage in Spain.
