The worst online banking and terrible customer service -if you are in Switzerland and can go bank elsewhere my advice is do.
Nothing but problems with their online banking and they don’t care about customers
I set up my pension in UBS 10 years ago…
I set up my pension in UBS 10 years ago and left it with them in a relatively high risk growth fund which was their own fund managed in CH. My fault for not looking each year but I was busy running a big business and my pension was maxed out - but after 10 years the growth averaged 3.5% which is a nett loss in real terms and an advice charge of £6k per annum plus fund fees around 1% leaves me now having transferred everything out from UBS into a proper bank - terrible investment NON advice - BAD bank - stay away !!!
Activation doesn’t work
I’ve just moved to switzerland so wanted to open a bank account, the lady was really nice and everything went well until i had to download to acces app. It was supposed to send me a sms with a code to enter. I never received it. So they send me a letter. A week later i got the leter, but now that code also doenst work.. I received my bank card but can’t do anything with it cause I can’t transfer my money into the ubs banking account with out accessing the app.. now i have to wait an other week for a new letter. They say they can’t solve the problem and just gave me a help line number that leads to a voice mail of 2 people talking.
So i got nothing good to say.. I opend an account but can’t acces anything so i will close it and go to another bank. Nothing good to say about this one

Horrible rude and unprofessional staff, scam-like demands
Horrible rude and unprofessional staff. Today between 8 and 9 a.m. I had such a humiliating phone conversation with a strange customer service guy that for a moment I thought it was a prank. After 3 years with UBS I was kicked out without explanation. All the accounts got closed and the cards were destroyed by a staff in front of may face. But half a year later I have received a letter demanding to pay the pending amount on my credit account, wich was closed. Is it a scam? What's going on?
Unknown Fees. Theft
I have held a ROTH IRA with UBS for 18+…
I have held a ROTH IRA with UBS for 18+ years. It was set up as a
long term, set it and forget it ROTH IRA. Non-Managed, No Trades,
No Maintenance. Set up with paperless statements, (No Cost to
UBS). I received a email from UBS in regards to a, "Your most
recent confirmation is available". I clicked on the link and found that
there was a 195.00 trade confirmation. At first I thought it was a
dividend payment, but it had a - minus sign, so I called. I found out
that for 18 years they where taking out a maintenance fee, and
annual fee to the tune of 195.00 a year. I new that this was not
common because I have no Maintenance fee on other stock
accounts, and there was no maintenance happening on the
account. NO Trades, NO consulting, NO management. NO
statements. UBS STOLE $3510.00 from me over the course of 18
years. This was a fund it, and forget it, ROTH IRA, to help me retire,
and the SOLE $3510 from me. Rico Otway, One of the thief
managers at UBS, said he could only refund one year, after the
other associate told me they could refund 2 or so years. Either way,
when people pay for things, they get something, or a service in
return. UBS did nothing for this money and it is not common or an
industry standard. Quite the contrary in fact. They also will get your reviews taken down.
Too bad that the zero isn’t possible
I have been a UBS client for 6+ years. Chose it in the beginning because of the reputation, I have not been fooled more in my life. Completely agree with all comments below, regarding uselessness of the hotline, that’s another story. My main issue that suddenly on Friday my DEBIT card which had more than enough funds was declined by a card reader. And since it was Friday evening of course there was nothing to do about. I was a bit worried, but assumed that I had damaged a chip somehow. On Monday I tried calling ubs the whole day, but I was always in the queue. Then, at 16:50 I finally had my luck and someone picked. After being tossed around different departments the answer was : “we don’t see in the system what is the problem”. 15 minutes later I try to use TWINT and find out that my account is blocked for absolutely no reason. This is unbelievable and unacceptable. I’m not even going to investigate the issue. UBS lost yet another client.
HOTLINE lets you wait for 40 min …
HOTLINE lets you wait for almost an hour. It seems like they really dont give a single f about their customers
UBS is absolutely excellent in all respects.
I have been a UBS client for nearly 40 years. I also bank with several other banks. UBS stands out as the best overall, with an outstandingly good web interface, and an excellent round-the-clock telephone service, which is generally answered without delay.
As far as pricing is concerned, as a HNWI individual, I am paying more than most people earn in fees, but it is still a very good deal as far as the private banking market place is concerned for the amount involved. Perhaps I could get cheaper in another bank, by negotiating, but then I would lose out on the great web interface that UBS offers.
Commissions on stock exchange and forex are excellent, and ordinary transactions such as payments etc are free of charge.
You can do everthing on line including stock exchange, and forex, with instant feedback about the progress of your orders.
UBS have a number of very useful services including a tax efficient discretinary investment management service which I also use. They had a negative year in 2022 and a positive year in 2023 (which didn't recoup the 2022 loss) but when I compare their returns with what other banks achieved and what world equities did, I believe that the total reuturns so far are fine.
Thanks to their excellent service and good pricing I have directed new funds to UBS rather than to my other wealth management banks.
There's nothing negative I can say. Everything just works and is easy to use.
Don't have an option to give 0 stars…
Don't have an option to give 0 stars else i would have given that. Literally the worst customer service experience i have ever had. Have talked to them every single week for more than a month. They never get back to you on your case, you have to call every time and ask an update. One simple issue never gets resolved for months. Every time they open a new case and leave it hanging. And for update, my issue never get resolved, i just decided to never trade using their platform. That's the most peaceful solution i could come upon after dealing with them for months.
Do not put your money here
After ten years of being with them I decided to move my account due to some crap advise from a new advisor who wanted to charge me the same amount as my previous advisor for doing absolutely nothing I asked him to do. And then they charged me almost $500 to move my money due to their lack of customer service. That sounds like something that should be investigated for scalping. Bad company. Anywhere else is better.
always a delay
Never goes ok getting your cash takes 2 or 3 weeks excuses all the time for me anyway
Contract canceled after 24 years without telling me the reason
Me and my small IT company have been a loyal customer of UBS for 24 years, trusting them with hard-earned money and personal information. However, I was shocked and disappointed when they suddenly cancelled our contract without any valid reason. When I asked them why they did this, they only said it was because of article 18, which is a vague and arbitrary clause that allows them to terminate any relationship at their discretion. They did not even bother to explain what "business political" means or how it affects me. I feel betrayed and mistreated by UBS, and I do not recommend them to anyone who values honesty and transparency. UBS is a bank that does not care about its customers, only about its profits.

I recently relocated to the Netherlands and brought my ubs card as my only currency. I transferred some money to my personal account and that money has now disappeared in to thin air due to a technical error. The only problem is THAT WAS ALL THE MONEY I HAD IN THE WORLD. I haven't been able to buy food all week and I don't know how I'll be able to pay my rent this month please UBS help me with this I've been on hold for the past hour and have spent over 5 hours on the phone to you this week please just let me access my money

Since I started investing I have never experience this kind of unreliable customer care. I had to get MI L N Ë CAP IT AL ' IO involved to sort out the pending problem, I recommend their ability.
The client service is the poorest of…
The client service is the poorest of any investment firm I have ever done business with. My mother passed away in June and accounts that were suppose to be an easy transfer to beneficiaries has still not been resolved. Everytime I speak with a "client advisor," I end up starting all over again. I have dealt with over 15 client advisors in a two year period. They refuse to put anything in writing and their communication accessibility is horrific! When requesting names of supervisors, I was told that I could not contact them directly. When they contact me, they leave a supposed "direct line" which has no voicemail, only an outgoing message to "please try again later." They have mismanaged my parents' IRAs where there is now a need to pay back deposits from an outside agency that we had no idea were depositing into their account. I have never seen such incompetence with managing investments. We will definitely withdrawal funds and terminate our association with UBS as soon as possible!
