Years of use, not anymore

Been using these patches for around 5 years now and the last year has been horrendous and making both my daughters skin blister, I also seem to be hearing many stories the same! Please sort this type one!!

They must have changed the adhesive…

They must have changed the adhesive recently - other reviews suggest the same. They now burn my skin terribly; red, raised itchy welts in the exact shape of the over patch. Wish I’d read reviews before purchasing. I’ve ordered from them three times. First order was fine but then last two have caused hideous skin issues. I don’t have sensitive skin and I’ve never had any reactions with plasters or other branded over patches at all. I’ll be going back to a previous brand. Shame as I like the designs but not worth the itchy, sore skin!

If I had the ability to put 0 stars I would! We spend over $65 on an order that never arrived!!!
When we contacted their support inbox (there is no phone number, just an email address for concerns) we got a very unconcerned email reply saying that our package was delivered. We have replied multiple times with no resolve or offer to fix the issue. The order was placed early Feb 2026 and it is now April. At the time of this posting, we have yet to receive our order or a refund! Terrible customer service (if you can even call it that)!

UPDATE: Shortly after writing this review (2-3 days) I received a refund for my order. No explanation, call or email, just a refund. At least I got my money back, but buyer beware!

Dodgy batch stickers

We have been using your product since 19th December and we absolutely loved your sticker patches and my son was so happy each time when he had a different sticker patches for his pods however when your realised the new spider theme ones I purchased them I’m not sure if they was a dodgy batch or something but my sons are after placing the sticker patches on the first day he had a big reaction causing a hospital trip and a very sore arm

3-year old daughter broke out

3-year old daughter broke out from these patches. The adhesive creates significant allergic reactions to it to where she has open skin. They must have changed this recently, because previous reviews seemed ok. No good.

That, and the patches don’t stay on well.

Unhappy Shopper

Had been using patches for a while no issues, then I’ve had missing patches which took 2 weeks to rectify and now severe reaction to the point my skin looks burnt, my arm is red, swollen, hot and oozing fluid also received patches not as described, following numerous emails and photographs, told by type one style to return for refund at my own expense as they don’t offer free returns, disgraceful customer service will not be ordering again.

I was unsure after reading the reviews…

After placing an order for personalised patch for Omnipod I was excited as they are for my daughter. Sometime later I came across the reviews and thought oh crap these are not good. I waited it out and they arrived and oh my they are amazing, so cute. I will be buying more.
The reason for losing a star is that when I placed the order I didn’t see in the order the pictures just for extra reassurance. I did not receive any updates on my order.

Do not buy these patches

These patches are crappy. I believe the reviews of the website are fake. I had my patch on for two days and it was so itchy that I had to remove it. My skin is still itchy and red… really disappointing. I do not recommend.

I would give this company zero stars if…

I would give this company zero stars if I could and wish I’d read the reviews on here before ordering from them.
My daughter had an awful reaction to these patches. I sent them back for a refund as they requested, but they are claiming they haven’t received the return. Having read through the reviews below this seems to be a common occurrence. Absolutely disgusting that they are exploiting people with a serious medical condition.

No customer service - dreadful

Used them a couple of times successfully - now they only sent half my order and customer service never responds - about 33£ out of pocket and my 6y old daughter is out of essential medical equipment I cant afford to pay double for.
They also send no order summary or receipt - dubious!
Will have to avoid in future.

Bought patches for my child's CGM and…

Bought patches for my child's CGM and Pump. The patches arrived, and they smelled SO BAD like chemicals, the entire package, bag, and my entire kitchen smelled. It is VERY worrisome that they are recommending people put this on their skin and leach chemicals into their bodies. I brought this to the attention of the company. And they denied this and said I had to PAY THEM to return this toxic waste. This company's products need to be tested by 3rd parties for toxic chemicals.

Most incompetent business I’ve ever dealt with.

Tried to purchase one of the plushies as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. They sent 2 out and neither arrived, they then refused to send a 3rd via tracked shipping (which would be standard for any respectable business in the first place) had to refund it in the end.

They take a while to respond to the inevitable questions you’ll be asking customer support.

Personally I don’t think they ever even sent the item I purchased to begin with.

Great overpatches my son loves them

Great overpatches my son loves them! Hasn’t experienced any bad skin reaction. They have Such a great choice in styles and prints. They last the full 15 days and usually I find the shipping is reasonable usually get them in 3-5 days although have had it as long as 10days on one occasion. On the one bad occasion where they hadn’t arrived they were very helpful and re sent them with no issue. Their new packaging is great compared to what it was also.

After my initial negative experience (I didn’t receive my parcel), the shop sent me a replacement order. It arrived in about 14 days this time. The patches look beautiful — the custom prints are bright and sharp. I haven’t had the chance to test their quality or durability yet, but so far, they look great and much better than I expected.

Don’t bother…

I will start with the only good thing about this place and their patches, they last for the 15 days I need.

Now onto the problems I have had.

1. Irritate my skin so bad, I wear the plain black patches, they itch so bad, the patches turn white.

2. Do not even bother trying to refund something. I sent something off almost a month ago, only had to reach the next county over from me, they keep denying they have it, therefore no money as they state if the package is lost, you don’t get any refund.

I am so certain this place just doesn’t like refunding customers. As I’ve heard from several others they never received their refund and Type One Style claimed that they never received the patches back.

Scam artists …

I placed an order on the 1st October 2025, on the 10th I sent an email to the support as the tracking isn’t working and I hadn’t received it, it’s been 10 days and I needed the item ASAP,

I had no response so I sent another email to support on the 13th asking for updates and received an email back on the 14th and the response was disappointing- it was just to say stop emailing as the more I email the longer it takes them to respond! Can you belive it.
I have asked 4 times via email at Support for a refund .

It’s now the 15th and I’m 2 days away from the birthday with no gift or money to get one! They are refusing to answer . This place is a scam, I wouldn’t shop here again!

Patches do the job but don’t bother ordering unless you don’t mind waiting weeks for delivery , had an email to say they were dispatched on the 3rd of October 5 days later and nothing , say it’s been sent via Royal Mail , I know Royal Mail are not the fastest but come on , bought for holiday , going tomorrow guess we will have to go without now and hope the cgm and pump stay on , not exactly cheap either at £3 per patch

Not recommend!!!

I would strongly advise caution with this shop. I placed an order and never received it. Their customer support only keeps telling me to “wait,” without offering any real help or solutions. The tracking number they provided doesn’t even work, which makes the whole process very suspicious. At this point, it feels like a scam. Very disappointed and will not be ordering again.

Adhesive skin reaction.

I'm guessing something has changed with their adhesive as having used them on and off for a couple of years because of the fantastic range of designs, the last few I've worn have given me quite a bad skin reaction. Have no trouble with my actual cgm (libre 2) adhesive but where the type one patch is it leaves me with a sore, stinging, raised red welt in the shape of the patch, I even had a couple of blisters where the skin came away on the latest one. Usually takes a day or two and some hydrocortisone cream so calm it all down and make it look relatively normal again. I was hoping the reaction was just a temporary problem because I like the patches so much, sadly I'm going to have to stop using them as the discomfort it's just not worth it.
