BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE: 30-Day Delivery, 10-Minute Breakdown, 3-Year Nightmare

I paid $70,000 for this Aston Martin from TX Auto in Houston, TX. It was represented as inspected and in proper working condition.

Delivery took over 30 days instead of the promised 3. Within minutes of receiving the car, it broke down and would not restart after I stopped for fuel.

TX Auto took it back, returned it, and said it was fixed. It was not.

Nearly 3 years later, the car still does not run, and I have had to hire attorneys and pursue legal action to try to get a resolution.

No one should spend $70,000 and end up with a car that failed within minutes of delivery. This was my experience with TX Auto. Buyer beware.

We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we want to be transparent with anyone reading this.

When this concern was brought to our attention, we acted quickly — we retrieved the vehicle, sent it directly to an authorized Aston Martin dealership for service, and covered the cost of repairs. We also offered a full return and refund, which was declined.

It is also worth noting that nearly three years have passed since the original transaction and the service was completed — a timeline that introduces many variables outside of any dealership’s control or responsibility.

We are confident in the steps we took and stand fully behind the efforts we made to resolve this early on. Our team remains available to anyone with questions about their experience.

I bought a truck from TAG sight unseen as I was an out of state buyer. Truck was finally received, had issues, I contacted TAG about these issues. Their review went from a 1 to a 3 and back to a 1 because they never followed up and left me with the repairs.

Avoid this dealership at all costs

Avoid this dealership at all costs. They sold me a truck that needed a new engine and didn't let me know as I was buying it. Test drive went fine but once I got it home, this truck started to fall apart immediately. Brought it to my mechanic and his comments were this engine has been worked on before based off the new parts in it. Come to find out TX Auto Group bought this truck with a broken and sold it to me saying it was in great working condition. Turns out they must have bandaid'd it enough to get it sold and then ghosted me. Won't answer my calls, won't answer emails...just gone.

I'm having to file a lawsuit against them so that I can possibly recover the $15,000 it costs to replace the engine. I'm not well off so this is gonna set my family back quite a bit and we are gonna have to find a way to make ends meet.

Don't let this dealership do to you what the did to me.

Hi Jochen, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. After looking into this, we were unable to locate your name in our system, and we want to be transparent — we do not sell vehicles outside of the United States and we see you're located in Germany.

At TX Auto Group Houston, every vehicle undergoes a thorough 150-point inspection before it leaves our lot. We hold ourselves to a high standard of transparency, and it is not in our practice to sell a vehicle with undisclosed rust or without keys — particularly on wholesale vehicles sold as-is, where all known conditions are clearly communicated upfront.

We take our reputation seriously and are confident this review does not reflect an experience with our dealership, especially since you do not reside in the US. If you believe there has been a misunderstanding, we welcome you to contact us directly so we can address your concerns. We are happy to help.

My review would be a 5 star if the dealership was more assessable, of course that isn't their fault, but there are no street numbers and the dealership was hard to find. After I got there is a whole new story, The sales man had the car I wanted to see parked out back ready for my test drive , which went off without a hitch, then to the bank where the salesperson did most of the talking, and got everything squared away, Then I was handed over to the finance dept, where I was helped with all the paper work and allowed esignatures for my wife who could not be there. These are knowledgeable and efficient people.

A very good experience

I just purchases a beautiful Mercedes-Benz from TX Auto Group. The experience was fantastic. Israel did a great job of taking care of me, and the financing was a breeze. And they shipped it to my out-of-state home in a timely manner. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, and would definitely use this dealership again.

Super helpful in explaining the financing process

I purchased two vehicles here and did financing with their banks. The whole process was super easy. Jay and Daniel made the whole process very smooth. I was not very savvy when it came to financing, but Daniel explained everything in a way I could understand. I had moderate concerns about financing fees, but the finance manager helped me to understand them. I loved my experience and the effort they put in. I will definitely be back.

I bought a car on 2/14 and have yet to receive the title. I have called and emailed, told someone would call me and nothing.

Lastly, I have been waiting in the plates, nothing. I finally called and was told I need to drive back three hours to get it. I offered to pay the fedex fee and I was told no.

I am concerned.

TXAutoGroup. If you read this, reach out to me. You have my information. I bought a 2019 Camry with cash , paid in full that day.

I need the title and tag.

Bad Dealership

Anyone notice that TXAuto group only replies to reviews that are positive for them? They have no good answers for the bad reviews. All they do is lie and ignores a person that has a problem with any vehicle purchased through them, or their dealership.

Tx auto is a scam

I will never recommend this company. I drove 2 hours to collect the car. I was assured I would find nothing wrong wrong the car. Apun arriving, there were afew dents ect and wripped car seats
but they discounted the price as I could dix these things. There after once I arrived home.i realized the car hadn't been serviced and wheel alignment was completely out. Again- somehting i eas assured was done before collection.I was able to get this fixed. And yes they covered the fees, but since then iv had the car for 4 months and iv had never ending issues. I tried to contact the sales lady to which hannelĥ justs my calls and texts. Shamefull!!!!!

Blatantly lied about repairs!

I purchased a range rover four months ago from Texas Auto Group. When I initially inquired about the vehicle, I was told it had been an accident, and at this point had hesitations about purchasing. I was, however, told by Al that the vehicle has been thoroughly inspected, completely repaired and in his exact words was like brand new. I explained that if they were able to offer a quality warranty, that would proceed with the purchase. The vehicle was over priced, even for a vehicle that had not been in an accident, but I did really like the vehicle and in fairness, it was extremely clean and nice. Four months into having the vehicle I had to take it in for repairs. At this time I was given a bill of $11,000, of which my warranty only covered $4000. The mechanic stated that these were definitely not new damages, and it appeared that these were repairs not made when the car had been in an accident. I spoke with the warranty company, who directed me to contact the car lot, as the particular damages were considered, wear and tear. They also agreed that there was no way that this damage could have been done within the four months that I had the vehicle. I called and spoke with Diego, who identified himself as a customer service manager. After several days, he informed me that there was nothing that they could do and that I needed to file this under my warranty. I explained to him that the damages were not covered, and that I was told by the warranty company that the car lot was the one liable for the damages, as these were repairs, not made initially, as I had been told. I explain to him how Al had specifically told me that the car was “ like brand new” and have been completely repaired. His response was, well I didn’t sell you the car. I can’t think of a more unprofessional response that a customer service manager could have. To take advantage of customers and blatantly lie in this way, and then to pass the buck to someone else, rather than making things right, was absolutely disgusting business practices to me.
Diego was extremely rude and began to talk over me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. He refused to transfer me and told me that I would need to call back. I have called back twice now and left messages and have yet to get a call back, this was several days ago
