Overpriced and ridiculously limited

I find it immensely absurd that users have to pay so much in order to find a job. If only the free experience would be less restricted I could consider paying the subscription, but having the right to just ONE single application is RIDICULOUS.

Terrible experience, extremely hard to take Twine seriously if they themselves cannot take their own platform functions seriously.

Abysmal website for free users

Abysmal website. Clunky portfolio system, severely limited free account capabilities (1 free job application to unpopular jobs), overpriced premium system that can only be paid per year upfront (no monthly payments).

Mild edit: there is a monthly plan available but that does not change the fact its overpriced. Paying to look for employment is ridiculous and the fee is too high. I have no interest in helping you amend your site to be user friendly until you make free accounts worthwhile or premium accounts affordable.

Regarding pricing: Twine Pro and Premium are both currently available as a monthly subscription, not just annually. You can pay $13.99 per month and cancel any time. If this wasn’t clear, or if you had issues during checkout, that’s definitely something we want to fix, so thank you for highlighting it.

We’ve built Twine to support freelancers by making client connections more direct and transparent, with no hidden commissions. But we know there’s always room for improvement—especially in making the site more intuitive and accessible.

Just to explain Twine uses a freemium model. You can apply for up to 15 jobs each month on the free plan, but once you hit that limit, you'll need to wait until your applications reset or consider upgrading to Twine Pro. Pro includes 50 monthly applications, higher visibility, and direct contact details for clients.

Also, some jobs have a limited number of applications from free users. If you’re seeing a message saying “Free applications limit reached,” it may mean that the job has already reached that cap for free-tier members. These limits vary by job role and location, and are in place to ensure clients aren’t overwhelmed by too many applications. Note, they can invite you to work on a job via our search.

Our model is designed to keep things transparent, avoid high commission fees, and give freelancers the freedom to communicate directly with clients. But we understand it’s not for everyone.

Twine doesn't seem to care about the negative reviews which outnumber the positive reviews.It's not so much that the interface sucks but that the system is so closed and requires one to send an application through twine and then through email or "phone number"?? this is for the benefit of those posting jobs and not those pitching for them. The email system sucks and so do the potential clients.It's not really a serious platform other than for those who are cashing in on the platform namely the founders. I truly feel Twine is fraudulent. I am not alone. Oddly Many and Backstage don't get this much scorn from its users. I wonder why?
