Trustco bank honestly sucks

Trustco bank honestly sucks, their online banking is down more than it is functioning and that screws me over a lot of the time. Never seen a bank have more issues with their online services than trustco.

TRUSTCO in Lake Mary ROCKS!!!

We used Trustco in Lake Mary for a refinance of our home. my wife and I have done many of these over the years and have used this banker before. We would never go to anyone else. He makes everything so easy, and is a delight to work with. Thank you Trustco!!

One person can make a difference as to…

One person can make a difference as to why you would bank with Trustco Bank and specifically Oviedo Office at 1875 W. CR 419. That person is senior manager "Habib" as we know him, as Oviedo knows him. He is honest and always like your personal banker who cares and will always lead you in the right direction. We have been with Trustco Bank Oviedo now for over 15 years and Habib is why. He just gets it done with a smile every time.

Trustco bank misleading advertising

I opened a checking account in 4/25 based on a promotion to obtain 250 and a mug. I called to find out why i would not receive the bonus. Their response was I did not complete CONCURRENT DEPOSITS. The flyer says a direct deposit, which is singular and the fine print said concurrent. I believe this is false and misleading advertisement.

Been a loyal customer for over 30 years…

Been a loyal customer for over 30 years and did a wire transfer for one bank to Trustco to cover my mother's funeral expenses and they charged a $16 fee for incoming funds. I can understand out going, but even the bank I transferred the funds out of waived their fee.
On a positive note the branch manager called and promised to credit my account the $16. I am pleased that my hometown bank did the proper thing. Thank You!

This is what banking used to be

This is what banking used to be. They know me by name at my Oviedo Fl branch. They opened a free checking account and used this service called Clickswitch to move my direct deposit. It couldn't have been easier. They even have an old fashioned Christmas Club which I am saving for the holidays instead of using the credit card. If you are sick of big banks like Wells try Trustco Bank.

No amount is too small to get stifled by Trustco

Deposited a super small amount of money a year or two ago and I've been trying to get it back. Unfortunately, this seems to be an impossible ask for Trustco. I was told to go into the branch I deposited the money, yet that wasn't good enough. I was told to write an email, that wasn't good enough. I now am waiting for a response as to how I can collect on a ridiculously small amount of money. Hard to believe Trustco is still in business.

Your Money is not safe in Trusco Bank

My Family had the worst experience with Trustco bank. My Father was a victim of three fraudulent checks written against his account. After many months they finally reimbursed him for two of the checks totaling over 33,000.0 dollars. After The bank Asst. VP convinced him of keeping his money in Trustco Bank with a new account number and promising his money would be safe and this would not happen again he agreed. Before he even received his new checks a fraudulent check in the amount of 23,700 dollars was cashed at a Truist Bank wiping out his account. (Written in the same handwriting as the previous two fraud checks.) It has been 7 months never returning his money. The assistant VP and the branch manager have been nonresponsive and Rude when they finally did speak to him, blaming the other bank . Trustco closed the case. My 89 y/o Father is a Victim of Trustco's negligence. Releasing a large fraud check for a third time never reflagging it, never calling him to confirm this check or taking any safety precautions at all! They closed his account and will not speak to him. everyone we speak to, professionals, community leaders and other bankers are in shock at Trustco's lack of professionalism. We have all the documents to support this crime. We will not give up this pursuit.23,700$ was stolen due to TRUSTCO BANKS NEGLIGENCE.

Please people please don't go to trustco bank. They are frauds.

I don't want a 'smart' bank

I don't want a 'smart' bank! I once subscribed to Google Cloud Services. It's like AWS. I cancelled my Wells Fargo card and Wells Fargo ... gave them my new card number.

I kicked Wells Fargo to the curb within 24 hours and signed on to TrustCo Bank.

That was about a year ago. Up until today my experience was great. I want a DUMB bank. I do NOT want you to give my new card number to ANYONE, EVER. PERIOD. I do not NEED to scan deposit checks at a stadium, like in the commercials. Not everyone thinks that 2FA is a good idea. It just means that it takes five minutes to access my bank balance.

I want a dumb, stupid bank, with a big burly dude to just sit there and look at my money behind solid metal bars. At the end of the day, close the safe door.

Today they launched their new web site. Just as you can expect, now I have a password I can't remember, because they changed the password scheme. Now there are three stupid questions like what is my favorite ice cream topping, or what was the name of my first crush ... Can't you just be a dumb stupid bank with a dumb stupid password that you can trust me not to post on Facebook?

They get four stars because they never gave Google Cloud any information. They have never given anyone my information, but me, and only when I asked.

So despite their halfbrained web site, it's still the best bank around, but now by less.

BEWARE OF TRUSTCO BANK: you've been forewarned

Beware: Never use this bank. They have zero respect for customers. Even when their ATM agreement isn't working properly as is the case with Publix, they will charge an overdraft fee which you are helpless to refute even if the mistake is beyond your control. It is futile to try and negotiate with them. They would rather lose a customer over a $36 overdraft fee. Run!
