TruGreen severely damaged my previously award-winning lawn, admitted responsibility, repeatedly promised to restore it, and then failed to honor those promises
For many consecutive years, I personally maintained my lawn and landscaping without My property consistently received First Place Lawn and Garden recognition in my neighborhood and was known for its lush, healthy, green appearance.
This year I hired TruGreen, shortly after their treatments, my lawn rapidly deteriorated. The grass became hard, brittle, brown, and resembled dried hay. Large sections of healthy turf died, transforming what had been one of the most attractive lawns in the neighborhood into one of the worst.
After I reported the damage, TruGreen representatives inspected my property and acknowledged that the damage resulted from their services. They assured me they would "do everything necessary" to restore my lawn to its previous condition.
TruGreen repeatedly promised corrective treatments, supervisor inspections, technician visits, return phone calls, and action within 24 hours. Appointments were missed, calls went unanswered, promised visits never occurred, and no meaningful restoration plan has been implemented.
I acted in good faith by promptly reporting the damage, rearranging my schedule for appointments, and giving TruGreen every reasonable opportunity to correct the problem. I have experienced months of delays, broken promises, and inadequate communication, my lawn has continued to deteriorate.
I am requesting that TruGreen immediately assign a Regional Manager to inspect my property, provide a written restoration plan, and restore my lawn to its condition before their treatments. If restoration is not possible, I request reimbursement for all costs necessary to restore the property through an independent lawn restoration specialist, including soil remediation, reseeding or sod replacement, and any related restoration expense.
