Bank holiday wedding…

Attending a wedding at the powers court hotel while it was a lovely hotel I found it to be very over rated
Asked at reception for a taxi at the end of the night I was told they told do taxies to ring free now not acceptable even a b&b have taxi service the young staff didn't really interact with the guests no seats or tables to sit at while the photos were taken so anyone over the age of 50 upwards found it very tiring hotel is very over priced not good value for money while it was a beautiful hotel and the views were stunning I just felt that the hotel was more interested in making money than looking after their guests

Supp

Hi, 3 rooms were booked and prepaid for on 3rd party website through trivago. Unfortunately we had to cancel during cancellation period but the 3rd party website was taking weeks to refund though they said 3-5 days. After multiple conversations and emails no refund was completed. Trivago were contacted and they contacted 3rd party website, within days refunds were completed. Thanks for support

Never again

Tried Trivago for the first time today to book a family holiday (accommodation) They directed me to a company called Travel Up (travelup.com) Once the full payment was made a received an email stating that the accommodation I booked was unavailable. This was after I had paid for my flights etc. They didn't reply to me emails so I tried calling them. After being on hold for 20 minutes I got through to an agent (with poor English) who just said 'it's OK you will get a refund in about 4 days' That is all he said. So now I have flights with no accommodation and my money tied up until they credit it back to my account. First and last time to use these middle men.

Misleading Information on the website

Misleading Information on the website. Customer service don't seem to care!!!
I recently needed to travel to a specialist vet hospital in cork with one of my dogs, 2 1/2 hours from where I live. Because this particular dog doesn't travel well in the car I decided to look for a hotel and go the night before. I started with booking.com and nearly everyone said no pets allowed.......So then I moved on to Trivago expecting the same result. I entered the city, the dates and selected 'pet friendly' from the list of filters. I was pleasantly surprised when it produced a list of accommodation providers all saying 'pet friendly'. While trying to choose a venue to book a friend suggest I telephone to check, to my surprise out of the 8 or 9 on the list only one accepted pets but unfortunately were fully booked, each of the others said no pets, service animals only. Luckily I had checked and hadn't turned up with a dog, however small. I wrote an email to Trivago informing them of the error and suggested that they contacted their accommodation providers to clarify pets or service animals then correct the website error. I received a reply from a person called Samantha who apologised for any inconvenience but were unable to resolve the issue unless I provided screenshots and a list of the hotels....I declined, and expressed my deepest sadness that not one person in the entire Trivago organisation was capable of searching their database for pet friendly accommodation and sending an email to each one confirming 'Pet Friendly' or 'Service Animal'. So be warned don't always trust what you read on Trivago's website!!

A business that thinks Ethics is at the end of the Fenchurch St line...

If you are a business be warned - do not sign up. We have received no benefit from our Pro Listing and have been put into a second year without our knowledge or being given any notice so that we could have cancelled. When contacted, they tell you you should have read the small print (we did, but didn't appreciate that we had given them an open cheque, would not be given any notice or that the contract automatically continued). We stupidly believed what the salesman told us. There are good and bad companies out there. This is a company devoid of morals and with no conception of ethics.

Trivago uses GalaHotels.com in their searches.
GalaHotels.com steals your money.
Why? They take your payment even if you cancel within the terms.
They then tell you it will be refunded within 21 days. This does not happen.
Their phone lines don't work and they do not respond to emails.

Bring a Disputed Transaction against this company with your bank ASAP.

Trivago is fantastic

Trivago is fantastic, I use it to book and create many of my own holidays. The website can be a little buggy from time to time or not refresh correctly. But otherwise a great service and I've never had an issue.

User friendly, transparent and most importantly got the best deal possible and saved 55%!

Being a regular traveller with work I am all to familiar with the hassle and frustration that comes with trying to find the best deals for hotels (especially with last minute sales trips!).
I found the Website easy to navigate and hassle free and ended up getting a room for €99 reduced from €238.
Will be using again in the near future and would highly recommend to anyone.
